I'm in for survival island. Just got past episode 7, and man I'd kick those guy's asses at minecraft. I'm talking huge tree farm, wheat farm, mob killing tactics NINJA style!

I think them playing horribly adds to the excitement of it all. Hell, I haven't played Minecraft in months and I want to start playing it just from watching those videos.

But yea, I'd have an insane tree, wheat and reed farm. They weren't even sneaking when they walked on their own farm land, that's how noobish they were. Then they run off the moment they see a zombie.

Also the Planetoids one they played looked pretty fun too for a short while. It would mostly be fun because of all the cool bridges you could make between each sphere mass and the challenge of finding the right elements that you need.

Excellent. We're one step closer to finding out what it is. :P
#1224
That sounds horrible. haha I would totally cheat. :P

You know what would be a fun challenge? Survival Island

Where you start off with one tree and an island. You must be careful with your resources. Grow trees. etc.
It might not be good with this server since there's normally lots of people playing, but it would be great on a small scale, 2 to 4 people.

Yeah, same here. I've noticed that once you hit CTRL that's when the escape key will stop working. Once you hit shift, it'll start working again.
I have an HP laptop, with Windows 7, obviously.

Are you speaking of:

Debug(4, 1);

Or literally some kind of loading screen? Not sure why it would be looking at the FPS rate, it shouldn't bog down much on the room loadings.

PS looking at the JPEG I see that the compression blurs out the fine details in the waterwheel.  Just know that it is there, I swear! :P
Why not save it as PNG and we can see it in its regular form?

The sound does not seem to stutter if the transition mode is set to 'Instant'.

This is actually incorrect. The stutter may not be noticeable with low resolution games, but Journey of Iesir is 1024 x 768 and it stutters between room changes with the transition mode set to instant. It's not nearly as bad as with the Fading, but it's still present.

I'm actually glad you pointed this out to me, because the music stutter with Fading was almost unbearable. Now I'll just do it the way you mentioned above. Which is one reason why an on_event for room afterFadeIn would be much nicer instead of doing the workaround method.

It's probably better to get used to using the ! operator, but in case it's troubling for you, this would be exactly the same:

if (player.HasInventory(iKey) == false)

Yeah, the creepers are definitely not good for multiplayer. I wrecked a few people's stuff and tons of my own work by inadvertently having a creeper blow it up.

If there is an option to have only zombies and maybe skeletons, I'd vote for that.. but like I said, I haven't played this in quite a while not sure if I would start again because of that.

This is something that is on my list to change when the engine is OSed though.
That would definitely be a great adjustment and I'd definitely welcome it. With this whole plan to go open source, I never once thought about the custom properties becoming no longer read-only.

What is this nonsensical thread?  :=

Are you speaking of:

Character.SayAt(int x, int y, int width, string message)

They're European... which means they're odd. Or they're just a day earlier. :P

And HBD to the Icey..

I don't go on much anymore because I was getting tired of the lag and poor programming. The monsters were supposed to be cool, but they come in gigantic waves and were nearly impossible to kill in multiplayer. Whether this has been fixed since I've last been on, I don't know.

Oh trust me. If I could get Firefox for my phone, I wouldn't hesitate. On my pc I wouldn't dream of use IE, where I actually have a choice.
Just with WP7 there is no other option, yet.

You know how the top new post has the background color of green (ish) to separate it from the old? With Internet Explorer it doesn't display that green background. I imagine it's some quirk with IE that prevents the div class from taking effect when the table already has a color class.

I only use IE on my phone, but I tested it with the latest browser on my computer and it has issues with it too.

It really is a nuisance because once the images start loading, the location of the new message isn't positioned at the top of the browser anymore and usually gets bumped down.

I end up having to read or skim through multiple posts that I've read already, which can be quite time consuming on a mobile device.

It looks like a very easy fix to me, perhaps even adding a table with "New Posts Below" written between the old and new.

Let me give you a very quick walk-through...

When you're going to post something, there is a little link above the text box.

Then if you scroll down the list a little, it tells you:

[img]http://somesite/image.gif[/img]

Placing the url to your image within the IMG tags, will display the image when you post or preview your message.

It's that simple.

If you don't know how to upload an image to a filehost, here's some good sites that do just that!

And welcome to the forums.
