When you need some metal near the end, you can use a trophy or a broken metal door, but my first thought wa the metal hook that I also had, which also seemed much more wieldy. Grund got it half-right, here!

I've sometimes found that this kind of code sometimes saves a screenshot for every game cycle that F12 is held which can mean hundreds. You may want to put some code in to prevent that, too. And GIlbert: you refer to tmpstr and tmpstr2... are you sure that code works?

This IS what you did, spook1!

Go to room 7 and start the interaction editor... there is only an interaction for the After Fadein

if i added the ones for before fadein and rep_ex, it worked fine.

Awesome. I love the walkcycle and talking view. Full fo bugs and totally unclear how to finish it, but hey.

You also forgot to turn Debug mode off, so you can use CTRL-X to teleport

And could you post a walkthrough?

You need an object created in the room, which I presume tha manual made enough sense for you to be able to do. Likewise with an inventory item for the same object. Then with the object selected in the room editor, open the interaction editor and add an interaction for the appropriate click.

Then you can use the interaction editor GUI to

Add inventory item
Disable object

Which version are you using? If 2.7 rather than 2.71, you might need:
