Are you sure these questions shouldn't be in beginners tech, m0ds ;) :P

When a struct member is referenced in AGS that doesn't exist, could AGS put in something in the error message that does a caseless search on struct members and says something like "value is not a public member of listbox. Did you mean listbox.Value?" as I've seen quite a few people get this wrong...?

2 words, m0ds: Case sensitivity

Good to see some hot contenders for next years "Worst n00b" award lining up...

I'd be interesting in being able to find a person too, as I'd like to be able to contact my father-in-law who hasn't been in contact with her since my wife was 9...

I always play AGS games windowed and its a real pain trying to click right on the left or right-most pixel just to get Ben to change rooms sometimes... and these things are easy to fix!

Car hire companies ususally prefer their drivers to be over 25. Younger ones can drive of course, but they usually add 250 quid or so for the priviledge.

But WMGS allows you to make AGS games run on an ipod: look!

The lighting source is at infinite distance to make shadows simpler, so if it points at the camera, it will not be visible

Maybe its time that AGS had an installer for those who prefer it? The download page coudl say "If you have problems with the zip file, use the installer" for those who are confused by XP's compressed folder "functionality"

General Discussion / Re: Here comes TETRA
Thu 30/03/2006 21:07:11
Tetra doesn't intefere with TV in any way, analogue or digital. Also, the analogue switchoff will let there be more digital channels, as the analogue channels take up the frequencies that could be used by 20 or so digital channels.

The licence fee is more a way to ensure that the government doesn't pay the BBC money from normal taxation, ensuring greater independence. It is really a poll tax, since almost everyone has a TV and it doesnt matter which channels they watch already. The "Dont watch BBC" argument has been going since ITV started...

Also, speaking as an Electrical Engineer the whole thing of tetra zombies sounds bollocks. Also, Tetra is already used by Dolphin telecom over most of the UK for commercial despatch, etc. and we're not zombies yet. This shows their coverage from 3 years ago: http://www.maximonsolutions.com/dolphincoverage.html

1st improvement: use a line tool (or shift-clicking in some paint programs) rather than freehand draw

but my games all have rubbish art, but I don't post in the Critics Lounge unless I want to try and improve. Improving means people telling you waht is wrong with your art, if you can't see it yourself.

Insulting the forum or people certainly aint the way to go

Language

Oh noes, heaven forbid we'll have games containing language!

Well, there was one MAGS where it was banned... ;)
