To all the God-bashers out there. There is NO SUCH THING as FACT! It is all beliefs.
Is that a fact?

Yeah, they killed more people than Hilter.

SInce Hilter killed no-one, that's quite easy, really.

Hitler, on the other hand...

Let's have a debate about double-posting instead  ;) You obviously haven't noticed the new forum feature when composing a reply that all the stuff in the "Topic Summry" below your message window have an "Insert Quote" link...

I believe that he is making them walk like they would if they were the way they are painted on the walls in tombs and such. the way the head is always profile, and you can see the shoulders. it looks a bit odd, but they wanted to make sure that if the spirit was there, it could use the whole body. just some odd ol' thinking, but i think that ssh wanted to keep that idea.

Either that, or I'm not good at drawing heads and just copied it from the standing view.

How about a swimsuit competition: everyone has to post a picture of themselves in a bikini?

wasn't the original bible full of orgies and killing and stuff anyway?

You're thinking of those well-known top-shelf magazines "Repenthouse", "Amen only" and "Prayboy"...

Well, maybe you should look beyond the headline and actually check out: http://one.gn.apc.org/Translation.htm

The article Migs quoted is based on a false perception of what the bible actually says about the subject anyway.

I can see the Forth Bridge, our back garden, a building site next door, lots of rooftops, some boats out one side and the Forth Road Bridge, our garage driveway, the Co-op and a clock tower out the other. I might even get round to editing this with a picture.

That's because it's a function you write, not a function you call...

Finally getting some work done on this since the demo. Have been consulting with various people on the story (thanks to you guys, you knwo who you are!) and now got some work on our hero's love interest progressing:

I think the story for the whole game is now complete, so here's some of what's on my todo list:

Characters: Akhenaten, Smenkhare, Tutankhamun, Boat Captain, Quarry workers, VIllage women, Priestly scholar, etc. etc.
Backgrounds: Quarry, Nile dock, Nileside village, Temple of Amun, Place at Amarna, Overview map, Desert landscape, etc. etc.
Dialogues: Millions of these to do!

Oh, for the first time in ages I've done some AOTS work, so please some help with:

It looks very jerky for a 10-frame anim to me. I know that the edges need cleaning up, but why is it so jerky?

EDIT: fixed version!

How about perhaps setting up the object's movement with a timer?
You mean like the code I posted in the second post in this thread?  ::)

Believe me, I've tried various things but the only other thing you can try is to make an animation for it, then make it a character instead of on object. If you have anti-glide mode on, then characters move slower than objects becuase they wait until their animation is finished before they move each time.

Either that, or write your own pathfinder algorithm...
