I don't think that it is news to anyone that an uncompressed video is bigger than a SWF. AGS uses media player to display AVIs IIRC, so if your media player uspports compressor X, so will AGS.

The question is, what should the priority of this be versus other suggestions: and I was pointing out that this can be worked around, while other problems cannot...

Anyway, maybe what would be best is if there is some way for CJ to support the Gecko plugin API. That way, any Mozilla plugins would also work with AGS, including Flash.

Presumably Flash can output animations as AVI one way or another...?

In the speaking view for your talking animation, you'll notice that besdie each loop it says "Left", "up", down, etc.  You need to fill the 4 views for these direction with your character talking, facing in the appropriate direction. That way, the move from standing to talking should be seamless.

GIMP 2.0 looks much better than before, but I see that it can't import PSp8 files, and my trial has expired. Anyone know a free program that could convert psp8 files tophotoshop, xcf or some other layered format?

You need to run the .bat file, rather than the AGS .exe file...

I only put the waitmousekey in there for the demo: you'll probably want to do different things yourself before and after the zoom. If you're getting that error, I guess you may have missed some punctuation out somewhere, such as a ";" at the end of a line.

Seriously, though, if you're going to try and do something at all complicated like this, try following the help file's scripting tutorial first.

a) Just becuase you develop on platform X with a cross-compiler to Y doesn't mean that its easy to co-develop for X...

anyway..

You'll need to change the "1" sprite number:

 RawDrawImageResized(-i, -((i*5)/8), YOUR_SPRITE_NUMBER_HERE, 320+(i*2), 200+((i*5)/4));

same goes for the other call of that function, change the 1 to your sprite number.

You need to open the interaction editor, chnage Before Faedin interaction to run script, edit script and paste the
 // script for room: Player enters screen (before fadein)
RawDrawImageResized(0, 0, YOUR_SPITE_NO_HERE, 320, 200);

code into the editor. Save and close that, then add a run script interaction for "After faedin" and copy the other code in there.

I have signed up and got my unique ID, but the dialog box to enter the registration code seems to crash as soon as I type anything. I am using  Windows 2000 SP3...

Hopefully this influx of cash will let CJ quit his day job and work on AGS full time! 3d support soon...
