its a real pain in teh butt for me to buy stuff online, since I have no credit card.

If you've got a cheque book, ebay is a great, cheap way to buy older games.

If you downloaded v1.5, look in the examples directory of SCIS, or there are some that come with AGS, too. Or look at:

http://ron.the-underdogs.org/info2.htm
http://www.agsforums.com/scifonts.htm

or use google

My idea for a theme:

Any room with a window or hole in the ceiling which cannot be seen directly, but the shaft of light from it can be and someone's head is just visible in the shadow, peeking in on whatever is going on in the room....

I like it, but he does look like he's just been goosed.

Actually, the Adventures of Princess Marian Part II: Mother's Day was written by my daughter when she was only 4 months old! She probably also qualifies as the youngest AGS character, as she features in the game too.

And the games would have to be short, arcade games. So it would not be as good.

Why?

Flan, I think that deep means that an existing game could be played on a web page, rather than as an exe, using a java AGS interpreter. Wasn't there some other Adventure Game Engine that was written in Java?

I guess that a Java interpreter would be vvvveeerrrrryyy ssssloooowww

I'm a secret Hamtaro fan...  ;D

EDIT: Despite the smiley, some people did not detect the IRONY in this post and so I'm defending myself!

I was in Auchwitz-Birkenau and I would tell anyone trying to make anything (film, adventure, whatever) about it to go there first. It is a truly moving place. The memory that sticks most in my mind is the huge room with a display case of the millions of pairs of shoes, glasses, etc. for all the people who were killed there. You just stare at it and think "Each of these belonged to someone who was callously disposed of here".

I also went to Colditz (Yes, I was Inter-railing) and it was very different from how I imagined. It was a world apart from Auchwitz too (actually I was in Colditz first).. you could see the respect and sticking to the Geneva convention in Colditz: and there were only a few prisoners there anyway. The board game "Escape from Colditz" was  pretty good... maybe a game based on that would be good?

The show was best until the first Holly left... was that series 3? I loved Queeg, Backwards ("Nodnol, isn't that the capital of Poland?")

Was Mr Flibble in those series, I can't remember?

I suggest that next time you see a woman with the correct proportions, you ask her if you can take some photos to help you draw the shadows right... it may not help your drawin but at least you'd have some nice photos  ;)

I dunno if this will help, but...

I met my wife about 2 months after the most hurtful dumping I'd ever had. I'd kinda decided to stop looking for love and then the best thing in the world happened: I met my perfect match!

So, don't give up hope.

I'll change the neck but not the hands, even if I draw cartoony it doesn't mean I follow that "four-fingers-on-the-hand" cliché.

Well, of course, it's just my opinion, anyway  ;) Compare it with my own drawings and you'll see that those who can't do, criticize...

But what I meant with the hands is not to have 4-finger hands, but rather that if you look at someone standing up facing you, they won't have all 5 digits facing you: more likely, their thumb and index finger are visible, but their other 3 fingers are only partly visible behind them.

EDIT:

::) Oh, OTG has done exactly what I meant. If I could draw I would have shown you, honest guv   ;D

OTG- If women don't stand with their legs like that, why does your avatar?  ;)  Seriously, though, great pics OTG! I did quite like Mats' "big hair" tho...

It's Mrs. "StrongArm" McGurk, my old P.E. teacher!

I would say:

Good improvement on the shoulders and her breasts actually being in front of her arms instead of tucked underneath, but..

1) skirt too short unless she's a tennis player
2) lips too black
3) arms too thick (unless she's actually a transvestite)
4) shins too thick (they get thinner before the ankles)
5) breasts too big
6) neckline too straight... try a more round neckline?
7) don't feel you really have to get five distinct fingers in to the hand... shrink a real hand picture down
