Oh right, three. And yes I meant the "world religions" as they are labeled. All the others have the concept of good and bad, ringt and wrong, and people try to do the good thing. But they don't, what I've been taught, fear any supernatural evil. If they've done wrong they fear the same gods that bring them all the good if they are good.

And I don't think many ancient mythologies really had true evil either. Not that I know them all, though.

You've just contradicted yourself. And redefined all the terms you used in your previous assertions. And you're still wrong. A typical example of internet debate...  :=

Christians don't fear any supernatural evil as they believe that Christ defeated it on the cross.

Some branches of Christianity don't believe in a personified or supernatural evil force.

Zoroastrians believe in a supernatural evil force.

Lying to my feet? Surely that seems a bit odd (unless your feet are exceptionally gullible). I think you mean "Lying at my feet".

I thought Christianity was about believing in Christ.

The trouble with saying "Oh well, but they're not REAL Christians" is that you very soon end up with a very small number of people who are REAL. Often excluding oneself (assuming that one wanted to be included).

That'll be because you're not listed in the "was brought to you by" section...

Quantity of sales is not really the point. If you want volume of the platform, then go for a Wii, PS3 or Xbox port. However, people who buy those machines may not be interested in a point-and-click adventure. Similarly, the IPhone demographic may be more interested in other types of game.

Also, I believe that the IPhone SDK T&C prohibits interpreters such as the AGS runtime engine. This is one reason why Flash is taking so long to arrive on the IPhone, and lets face it Adobe have a better5 platform to negociate with Apple than CJ does.

Perhaps if people who have actually made games with AGS and are actually selling them could tell us which other environments are most requested by customers, we could have an idea of cost/benefit ratios for alternate platforms.

As it is, most requests are just people who have been around for many years without making a proper game saying "ooh, ooh, an MSX port would be cool..."

The UK media's hysteria over knife crime is totally out of proportion to the problem. It's mainly confined to London, although probably the media hype will make it spread  :o

And Redwall is right: people are the trouble. Christians are no better than anyone else, but the point of "The Good News" is that they are forgiven...

Things are a bit calmer in the UK. Here's about as violent as it gets: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7504472.stm

Personally, I can't see how comments like "[All] churches are just trouble" are any different from "All gays are just trouble". You bigots are all the same...

Send me the pics and I'll make the game for you ;)

If you have the room BG saved as a large sprite, then each frame copy that sprite, draw on it and then copy it to the BG, I think that would be faster... is that right, CJ?

I was merely saying that the more people you can enable, the better. I find it offensive to try and turn it into a "It's political correctness gone maaaaad" which in this country usually comes from the Daily Mail-reading reactionary bigot.

I think a very configurable interface allows people who are disabled to access it: the more configurable, the easier it is for people to work around disabilities. For example, some people have no arm movement but can use mouse pointers via head and eye trackers. For them, they "click" by hovering in the same place, and some of the interfaces describes would make the use of these aids impossible or hard.

bicilotti also found a problem with his colour-based problems in Colorwise recently and worked around it. Purely sound-based puzzles are also exluding some players.

You mean, like my SpriteFont module?  ;)

Make dialog request call some other sub-functions?

You must remember to put a return or stop between options if you don't want them to run in to each other...

If you can access your router's config page, you can be sure the problem isn't with your wireless.

You can try manually setting your router's DNS to:

208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

This is OpenDNS and is often more reliable than some ISP's. NB you can change this in your router or on your PC, it may be worth trying both.

However, its worth browsing forums like http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ who often have user tips for making things work better, like changing your MTU size.
