Gobliiins was Coktel Vision, was it not?

It's a division of Sierra.

Hmmm, perhaps someone else should start a new one? It looks like Oz hasn't posted since his first post.

Yeah, sorry, each word actually goes to different stuff. If you keep clicking on the top one (which is the replay intro button), it'll just go in circles. I think the second one down is the play button ('peragra' I think is the latin I used). 'exi' should exit the game also.

Anyway yeah, I think we should have a whole bunch of LV smileys.

Critics' Lounge / Re: Grim Fandango graphics

Well they had to take those jobs because they apparently did something bad in life that prevented them from going to the 9th underworld (not really heaven, since there's no hell as far as I know). What they did though is beyond me.

How about not doing a grim fandango 2!!!

The game had a solid ending... no need for a sequel.

I could be wrong, but did we ever find out why Manny was stuck working at the DOD in the first place? And as far as I remember we find out absolutely nothing about his life. I keep trying to replay it, but it crashes all the time on xp.

wyr3x: I'm not sure I totally understand you, but the text doesn't say anything about suicide. It's all in the intro. Perhaps it's a little vague, but see the picture with the severed head?

Brett, as far as I know, you must read the map of the property before Trilby will even know to break through the wall.

The portrayal of Stan misses the point so completely that it makes my head spin,

I wonder if I was the only one that thought Stan had a southern accent. Maybe it was his cowboy hat...

Well, it's practically gibberish. I think all I really did was read the inscription next to the man with slurred speech.
#51
Do you have the same soundcard as before? If you do then I have no clue what could be wrong.
#52
You could download my game, I think it has interesting music. It's orchestral, which I guess isn't too common.

Ã,  I think this must be the first time I've been sick on the 4th of July.Ã,

Well a first happened today for me also. A car crashed into my house. It was quite strange, apparently their steering wheel just stopped working, but luckily their brakes were ok. All they managed to destroy was our fence and a couple of trash cans. The funny thing is they weren't even drunk...  :P

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone!

And redruM, you just committed suicide, would you really expect hell to have subtitles?
#55
Nice site... but I don't speak spanish, and therefore I have no clue what this game is about.

and grace just doesnt sound the same as in the first.

Interesting we don't comment on the voice actors that much, but here's a short history of Grace's voice I found kind of interesting:
GK1: Leah Rimini, I think she's on the show King of Queens on CBS.
GK2: Don't know her name, but apparently she's a porno actress.
Gk3: Charity James, same voice as Elaine from EMI.

Anyway, I don't think there's a best adventure game of all time.

My first AGS game was either Larry Vales 1 or Lassi Quest. I don't remember.

Heh.. I live in Maine, and nearly everyone under the age of 30 hates country music. And I've only met one girl who like Christian music. Punk rock and emo are popular around here. So is rap, which is odd, since most of the people I know who listen to rap also seem to hate black people. THAT'S AMERICAÃ,  ;D

I live more in the country in Maine, and there are a whole bunch of hicks who love country music. And my sister likes Christian music.

Er... to any Americans reading this, are most of y'all anti-Canadian in your country?

My Dad's girlfriend is French-Canadian, so yeah, nobody has a problem with Canadians.

easy way to piss off a canadian, call them american. my mate learned that klesson the hard way  :-\
Interesting, cuz my Dad's girlfriend gets pissed off when someone refers to 'Americans' as only people in the USA. She thinks America encompasses all of North America. But I dunno, it's just a word really.
