I wonder what kind of threat to the forums we will get from dbuske this time...We should all be very...afraid?
Hey, I'd be happy if he got banned for scriptkiddying - it's his level, he is a cunt.

The name is right in the game. I just typed it wrong in the post.
I avoided the gay aspect of the story.
Did anyone actually play it, or or you just having fun making things up?
I'd say we were as interested in hearing about your games as the UDK forums were...

General Discussion / Re: Doctor Who Games?

Yeah, it seems everyone goes on about how good an AGS Doctor Who game would be, but nobody ever gets around to making one...

Sadly I have no idea what stops Snakes from working on Win7. I'd love to hear some ideas about that.

Anyway, in the newest boring news, I'm migrating the Snakes FB page to a new one, because the old one turned dysfunctional. Please like us here, if you can/want: http://www.facebook.com/Snakes.of.Avalon

In much more exciting news, if you visit that FB page linked above, there's actually a rather cool announcement/teaser of something earth-shattering coming in the near future.
Ooh, nice! Be looking forward to this version. Anything else being changed?

The ones I am looking foward to from 5 to 1 are:

#5: King's Quest IX Silver Lining VGA Edition
#4: Mage's Initiation (from Himalaya Studios)
#3: Space Quest II (from Infamous Adventures)
#2: The Judgement of Quintus (from greGames)
#1: Ben Jordan 7 (from Grundislav)
Number 5 was a piss-take of The Silver Lining; it's unlikely any more of it will be made (and I can't say I'm sorry about that either). And 7? Don't you mean Ben Jordan 8?

I have added a cheap rubbish mirror, with the pretense that it is a substitute for an actual real website  :=
It works, thanks!

MediaFire isn't working here, could we have an alternate download location, please?

My only comment about the poster is that it's almost TOO moody.  Based on the screenshots and description, the tone of the game seems to be a fun, breezy crime caper and the characters appear to be very upbeat and confident.  The poster, on the other hand, shows a moody late-night city street with the duo looking very brooding and thoughtful (Mary even looks slightly scared).  Unless I am misinterpreting the screenshots, the poster looks like it is advertising an entirely different game.
I'm taking the story as being more in tune with the tone of the poster here. So I'm thinking the in-game artwork may not be moody enough? The story as given doesn't say "fun, breezy crime caper" to me.

Commercial, eh? Hope this works out for you. For early(?) shots, these do look great. That first pic makes me think almost of Blackwell in its art style (not sure why though!). As for voice acting, why not talk to Dave Gilbert for ideas?

Dunno if you're doing this already, but http://www.opengameart.org/ could also do with more stuff!
#355
Sure this would be on legally dubious websites...

Not the first. "Hello, Neighbour!" had them. So does AGDI's version of KQ3.

Woohoo! This is awesome! I was able to compile my own version of ACWIN! I think there's a tear coming out of my eye...

I ran into into warnings and 1 error (in the release build) along the way that are easy to fix but I think they should be mentioned so we can start cleaning things up. Should I post about these things, though? Should we start a separate thread about building the engine source code?
Post here for now, I'd say.

If you can find a game compiled with AGS 3.2.1, you can run it using the compiled exe.

I'd suggest using something like CMake with the engine code could be useful. That'd handle dependencies and create project files for Visual Studio, standard Makefiles, Code::Blocks etc. It's in use with a few projects, such as Allegro, OGRE and OpenMW for three.
