Looks fun! What names will you use for the characters? So many different names, depending on where in the world you are. Yay for this, and I hope it lives up to Goscinny and Udzero's work.

Good one, Duckbutcher! Nice to see you've finally posted about it here, too.

DAMN YOU FOR LIVING IN A DOCTOR WHO RICH AREA!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I'm also looking forward for Christmas to be over. I wrote and have been directing a Christmas play, and somewhere in my contract it apparently says that I have to do everything, including buying and building props, working lights and sound, and having fifteen year old girls flirt with me (that sounds like a good thing, but not for a 25 year old guy)... I wanna be done with it.... Luckily, today is the big day.

Thank you Nikolas for writing the music and thus lightening my load. Merry Christmas to you, pal.
Eep! That sounds like a lot of work. School play, I take it?

As for Who... there's always ways and means of acquiring the episode...

Check this out: http://www.blitzmax.com/Community/posts.php?topic=54218

While not AGS-related, it might be able to help with expectations in the Shareware/online marketplace.

WOW. That looks just so damn cool.
Here, here!

If this game has a Linux version too, I'll buy it!

Looking very good there! Keep it up, thanks!

Read the press release on KQIX.com for the reason for the name change.
I can't find anything there...

Ya, that is great news.

According to other forums, only the name changes and POS can still keep characters including graphics.
So it's still set in the "King's Quest" universe, then. Interesting! Name change due just to trademark issues I take it?

BlitzBasic 3D? Is that like by the same people who made blitzbasic on the Amiga?
Yup. BlitzMax, BlitzPlus etc. They look good, too!

Critics' Lounge / Progression!

It's always fun to watch artwork progressing on these threads.

For me, the wallpaper/ceiling colours clash and make the room look weird somehow. Nice touch with the peeling wallpaper and picture on the wall (maybe have that be the original version of the room?)! Why is there a light in the middle of the left wall, though? Seems odder, now with the wires hanging down for a light-fitting in the ceiling. Like the cracks to the right of the leftmost powersocket on the wall with the door, though.

Good job!

CJ...you don't sound anything like I imagined.Ã,  I thought you'd be less outgoing and funny.Ã,  You know, cause you're a programmer.Ã,  ;D But this was a funny interview!Ã,  Very cool.
Heh, stereotypes are made to be broken! Or mocked!

It's bare, and bright (mint?) green. I take it that's a deliberate choice. Is that a light on the left-hand wall? And the red dot in the very middle of the pic - what is it?

It's a minimalistic pic. Not too bad, is more detail planned?

Anarcho, you traitor! :=

Besides AGS I've tried this Finnish programming language, CoolBasic. I haven't really gotten anything done with it though...
Heh, BASIC. Thinking of trying out BlitzMax... if they do a 30 day trial for Linux... to see if it'd ever be worth the money. I've also used Hugo, Inform and TADS...

What other programs do you use to make games?
I use
AGS
AdventureMaker
GameMaker
I'm doing The Cabin with Adventure Maker and when done will port it to AGS .( well it is more then 1/2 way ported).
Currently learning to use C/C++ for programming games. Know a fair bit of C, but trying to understand C++ now, and how it can relate to coding computer games. Making slow progress - trying to get a SDL-using Lunar Lander clone to work... satisfying, though. May also look at Allegro as well...

Odd. Didn't pick any distortion up when I played it with Timidity.

Sounds rather a good little jingle. Portentious. The bells at the end are a nice touch.

Heh! How faithful is this going to be? It looks interesting. Good luck with it!

Interesting stuff, and a good take on the usual password puzzle. I'll take a look and see if this beginner can use it at all. Mucho thanks!
