I really only have an avatar because of Dualnames' thread about changing one's nickname. I was just gonna go and change it, but then ManicMatt pointed out that no one would know who I was without an avatar, so I went for it.

It is a small silver trumpet. On a keychain, if I'm not mistaken. It reflects my former name. ...even though my trumpet is not silver. It is unfortunately gold.

I mostly lurk the site but I'm afraid of replying or starting a thread in fear of being put down and have my feelings hurt. It's hard feeling accepted by the community when it is focused on every move you make... a bit like a very stern dad figure.

I don't know if it's a trick of the shading or whatever, but the 6 compartments on the right look to be different sizes. The bottom left looks larger than the top right.

Ooh I loved Torin's Passage! It was one of my first adventure games. (I know I'm a bit past the era...) But my all-time favourite is still King's Quest VI. I want to play it right now.

I didn't even catch that one. I actually read it as 'kooks', but the idea of them having cooks is rather amusing.

I didn't know that the verb "bring" was the right one to be associated with the word "date" (intended as appointment with a girl). I thought the correct form was "have a date". That was the only cause of my misunderstanding.

If you bring a date to something, it can also refer to the person you're taking with you. Noun AND verb! ...unless that's already been cleared up and I'm just being redundant.
