Today I got another package.
This one was different, there was no return address. Just my name on it. A lot. It was also quite large. 21" cubed. (Large enough for me, okay?  )
There was no ticking, so I knew it was okay. With trepidation I opened the package...

Inside was all manner of random things. Two giant pens, a door hanger, something wrapped in foil (which I still haven't opened, it looks questionable), a glowy, lightup stick thing, glow-in-the-dark silly putty, popcorn, m&ms, gummies, a penguin finger puppet that makes 'animal sounds' (tell me how a penguin really sounds like a child laughing ), an Irish Drinking Favourites CD  :, and an unmarked DVD...I was suspicious.

My computer can't read DVDs apparently.... so I hijacked roomie's laptop.

Turns out it was from my youth group. They made me a DVD cause they love me.
Now I'm super happy cause that was like the best present EVER.

EDIT: Roomie finally convinced me to open the foil. It's cookies. Soft choccy-chip cookies. Mmmmmmm...

Yes, Ivy, thanks. You know, the really funny thing is that in some of your pictures you look like someone I went to high school with. So creepy. And I'm fairly sure we're from the same area too. (AGSers map, anyone?)

Ummmm I'd like to mention we don't normally style our hair that way. :o It was for a 'special' dance, as I've said elsewhere.

I think so. Others think so. It's actually quite amusing too, since I was actually laughing at the time the pic was taken. But instead of looking like I'm laughing, I look posessed.

I'm thinking about a nickname change too. I've used SilverTrumpet (and other variants) for so long, and I think it has kind of a nice ring to it, but it's largely inaccurate. I don't play a silver trumpet anymore. Mine's gold (and GoldenTrumpet...no). So I only want a new one out of boredom haha.

Playing at a basketball game. Not playing in the game, but rather for the game.

In other news, I discovered that my cat meows in B flat.

:o That is AWESOME! Quite possibly the best thing I heard in a long time. I could tune my trumpet to that. 

Anyway...

Yesterday the marching band played at the hockey game.. and we wonnnn!! But that's not the exciting part... The exciting part was that out of the 3 trumpets that went, I was the only one that had the melody for the School Song (which is a really cool thing for anyone that doesn't play an instrument. At least it is for me anyway ) -- or at least I was SUPPOSED to. When my music exploded last Saturday (that's another story), I must've lost some. SO! because I was the only one in the whole band with the melody, I had to trek back to the band room in the dark. By myself. Without knowing the way, really. But I survived. And I led the band to awesomeness

I also spent a lot of time randomly talking to the tenor sax guy in front of me. That was amusing.

I could go on about hockey events (straws...ducks...spittle) but I will not.

Today marching band has a social/dance. The theme is 'Grade 8 dance'. Ingenious really, but hello awkwardness! I think it will be fun though.

And tomorrow we travel 5 hours to another university to play at their football game. Gonna be a sweet busride, as long as I remember my (nintendo)DS, because me and another guy are gonna play our games together. Like nerds.
There goes my weekend.
