Hints & Tips / Re: 5 days a stranger problems
Sat 17/06/2006 04:16:15
I'd be a smart idea to search for an old topic about 5 Days a Stranger and look that kind of stuff up, instead of posting like this. I mean, the game was made four or three years ago, and I'm certain he covered this stuff back then when the game was new.

it was mostly aimless curiosity.(I have a lot of that ;D) but I thought it would be useful for a spell system, or for crime scene investigation, to hinder the meta-game "click everywhere" tendency, to add extra details. I was also wandering if anyone had any experience with this function in AGS, more specifically the AGS parser system. Is it good , is it bad? should I take the time to learn it, and can anyone help me.

From what you're saying, it does sound like it would be very effective. I'll have to keep that in mind... ;)

Man, does this take me back. My very first adventure game was Myst. It was my grandad's (he was a pretty big gamer in his 40s), and I loved it. In fact, it was the first video game I ever played, next to Wolfenstein 3D (which got my parents pretty angry that he showed me this Nazi shooter when I was 7 or 8)!

Controversial is my favorite Starbucks flavor.

Lookin' good!

Sounds like a great game. I really liked Frank the Farmhand, though I got in trouble for playing it for the racist stuff in it.  :(

Here's hoping this one won't get me into any trouble. ;)

I still want to play this thing so badly, because I love when things are done right, and you are definately doing this right. ;D

I just played it, and loved every minute. I wasn't a fan of the 3rd or the 4th, because they were too dark and graphic. This one was just right for me. I can't wait for Case 6! ;D

Grundislav, is it as scary as 3 or 4?

Hints & Tips / The Heist

I can't figure out how to open the safe. Do I need to use the lockpick, or could you tell me the combination?

Oh, and by the way, what kind of insanity effects will you use?

Bumped? Drat. I was looking forward to this coming out soon. Well, whatever it takes to get it done right must be done.

Thanks! ;D

Edit:
Doh! I didn't notice the other line. Thanks for putting up with me.

EDIT EDIT: I liked the game, but it was too short for my tastes.

That is some amazing artwork you got there! It rivals pretty much every other artwork used for a game here, and I mean it.

The concept of unique puzzles for a blob-like character is terriffic. It'd be so awesome to make yourself into a rope, separate into 10 little pieces, and things like that. With a format like this, you'd definately get good reviews for innovative puzzles. In the years I've been here, I've never been more anxious, because of you and IceMan's awesome talent. Good luck!

The game plays great. It reminds me of the heist, which uses a lot of 3D animation.

I know it's a one room game and all, but it was WAY too short for my liking. You put lots of work into it, though, and I loved the atmosphere. 4/5

Hi, Sektor. Love the game.

I'm a little ashamed to admit this, but...I'm stuck on the sliding puzzle in the ruins. I know how to move everything, but the funnel won't open, even when I connect the top to the bottom. I read the walkthrough, but it refused to show a picture of what the solution should look like. Could you possibly take a pic of it? Thanks.

Heh heh heh...poor scientist! I love how the game ends... A great way to spend spare time.

Hey, all. I was wondering, is Indigo Prophecy a good adventure game? It looks really cool, and I've played the demo, but I just don't know. Could someone who has it or played it tell me if it's worth a purchase?
