I still haven't figured out how to keep up with working and working on games since I got a physical job rather than computer job.

Since I changed careers 3 years ago, it's not so much the amount of spare time I have, as the amount of time I feel like devoting to game making. With my job I walk 20km a day, I still spend a lot of time at home in front of the computer but lack the concentration required to be bothered game making, I get bursts but no devotion, and I have a massive project almost complete if anyone even remembers what it is (it was almost complete 3 years ago too).

One good thing is that my job is my exercise, so I can be as lazy as I like outside of work and remain fit, best thing I ever did to get away from sitting in front of a computer all day and night, now I'm getting off topic and still didn't help with your conundrum.

I never remember the names of the good comedians you see on those comedy specials

and you don't get to see a lot of comedians on tv, unless they're really commercial (which doesn't mean they're good eg. Ray Romano)

I've found Ed Byrne entertaining
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-u1mQOHn1o

Demetri Martin is fairly clever

There's also some cute kiwi chick that I can't think of her name, If anyone could help out

As for Hedberg, I'd never heard him before but he wasn't too bad

I've been a member there for a couple of years, started it up as a joke when one of my friends came round one day and  introduced me to it. I mainly use it to keep in touch with a few friends, I still have not requested 1 friend since starting, and have denied most requests I get.

It's not a bad place, it's interesting how much info you can find out about friends from other peoples comments, blogs and bulletins, I wonder how many relationships this type of thing destroys.

A perfect place for stalkers, so if you want to stalk me I'm sure it wont be hard to decipher my myspace address

Now 4-0 with one test to go

This was a really bad effort by England, they were in a really good position after batting poorly (159 total) having Australia 5-84. At this point they really had the upper hand, and just needed to put the pressure on, but they let it slip to 6-363 (all credit to Hayden 153 and Symonds 156 [also his 1st test century]) but The field settings and bowling plans were just non existent, it was just like they were waiting for the inevitable.

England were bowled out for 161 in the 2nd inns, with Australia winning by an innings and 99 runs with 2 full days remaining.

Shane Warne got his 700th wicket at his home ground (MCG) and ended up man of the match, he's up to 706 wickets and in total including one day international cricket, 999 wickets just needing 1 wicket in his last match ever to reach 1000 international wickets.

I thought his script writers (fate) couldn't beat getting his 700th wicket at home on boxing day, but to have the milestone of 1000 wickets in his final match seems almost rigged

But they'll never get someone to replace Warne.

It's actually interesting to see if they'll pick Stuart MacGill who is also a leg spin bowler who actually has a better test record than Warne (eg. has a better strike rate so picks up more wickets in less balls [he has played 40 tests]) and in every test he's played with Warne has out played him. The selectors and media just love Warne, if MacGill played for any other country, he'd be in the side, the problem there is that MacGill is only 2 years younger than Warne so he's near the end of his career too.

Warne announced his retirement today, so after the Ashes he'll probably become a gigolo, MacGrath probably wont be far off retiring either.

There will be a lot of changes to the side over the next year or so, I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out

Being english I might be a bit biased, but did you see Warne's figures 156-5 altogether, and McGrath look like an old man when he was running! Just wait till the next series  >:(

The Aussie team are really old but the depth of talent in the state sides is very strong, EG. Mike Hussey is 31 and only recently made it into the side, He's been brilliant for years but it's really hard to make it into the side, now he'll probably end up being one of the best batsman in the world. He's got a younger brother that is pretty good too, and will probably be in the Australian side soon.

Australia could probably have 3 or 4 sides that would be competitive internationally, I reckon by the time of the next Ashes series (England 2009) the Aussies will still have a strong side, possibly even stronger than it is now.

Well, Australia has regained The Ashes

they lead the series 3-0 from 3 matches with 2 to go

England took 16 years to regain them, now after the shortest break between Ashes Series Australia has won them back.

England have been playing well, but just totally out classed.

The highlight of this 3rd test match for me was Adam Gilchrist, one of the most amazing batsman of all time, scored 100 runs from 57 balls, the 2nd fastest century in the history of the game, the fastest being held by West Indian Legend, Vivian Richards who took 56 balls back in 1985.

The win will take a bit of interest off the last 2 tests in Melbourne and Sydney which have been sold out for months, but the Aussies will want to win the series 5-0 just to rub it into the poms

Also Warney has moved along to 699 test wickets, which is the most taken in the history of the game, He'll have his chance to get the 700th at his home ground in Melbourne

For me it all begins on Xmas eve which is traditionally one of the biggest drinking nights of the year, so I go up to the local pub (which is packed bigger than any other night of the year) and drink and catch up with many people and there's always people you rarely see. It's always a good night.

On Christmas day I usually go round to my parents house in the morning (hung over) for presents, then off to one of my Aunty & Uncles for traditional lunch (ham, turkey, salmon, more alcohol etc Xmas pudding, bon bons [containing - silly hats, toys and the worst jokes you have ever heard])

It's usually a stinking hot day so we all go for a swim.

Though this year my parents will be in New Zealand and both my sisters will be in Cairns, so It'll be just Me, Aunty, Uncle, Cousin and his fiance. Much smaller than usual but probably more relaxing

I'm more looking forward to the week I have off between Xmas and New year, which always consists of too much food and alcohol and sitting infront of the tv with a beer watching cricket, going into town catching up with friends, more drinking, going to the beach, drinking, you get the idea

Merry Christmas All

So, by that logic, if my balls were eaten by a lion and a hunter shot the lion, my balls would reach heaven before me?

No, the Lion would be in Hell for eating your balls (or possibly in heaven as the Messiah's favourite pet). your balls would be no longer balls but nutrients in the lions blood + probably a bit of shit in the woods

I think this is slightly off topic but still related.

2 of my friends that I've known since Kindergarten (don't really see them much these days) both their mothers died from cancer before they were 5. They were both strong Christians, strengthened by the belief that their mothers were in heaven (so their fathers told them).

1 of the fathers re married and my friend is now a Christian Minister

The other father never re married and my friend is Gay (don't know if he's still Christian)

I've always wondered if the choices in these guys life has anything to do with the way they were brought up after their mothers died. not that it matters, but it would be an interesting case of nature v nurture

My Dads mother died when he was about 20, and he is a strong Catholic

I guess when sad things happen to people at vulnerable times in their life, they can turn to something that makes them feel more comfortable, I suppose it's safer than turning to drugs unless you become an extremist religious nut.

I also suspect that these decisions are also not really accepting the fate of their loved ones, but tricking themselves into believing they are happy in another place.

EDIT:
Just as I was typing this post I felt something biting my back, so I reached round and pulled out this Tick

that's a macro shot on my index finger to give an idea of size

So for a brief moment I was supplying extra life to this vampiris creature, while I was still alive, until I took it into my own hands to end its life. Therefore part of me is already in the afterlife within this deceased creature

I used to own a poo brown '74 Corolla Coupe
similar to this one but different colour, with original parts, and not quite as good condition

I loved it and was sad when I sold it, cars just don't last as long as they used to, cars aren't built to live 30+ years these days.

Nostradamus summed it up pretty well

If you want to believe any further than the life we know, (unless cremated) you will become food for micro organisms and your cell breakdown will provide nutrients for many other living things, may even help a few trees grow to supply oxygen or fruit for a few more creatures to live a bit longer, alternatively you might rot somewhere and create pollution that kills some creatures, it's all just a cycle.

There's no reason to know, I've always wondered why people want to know so much

South Africa should never have let Kevin Peterson go. he was playing in a B provincial side when he decided to leave.

Yeah that's unlucky, any team would love to have Pietersen, he's one of the most entertaining batsman currently, he scored 158 in this test, it's his highest test score and it's the 3rd time he's got it, but I guess it's a pretty good unlucky number to have.

The Ashes 2006/07

Just had to bring this topic back up due to the massive victory Australia had over the poms in the second test.

It wasn't as massive a victory as the first test, England came back well.

But to lose a test after declaring at 6/551 in the first inns near the end of the 2nd day is almost impossible....

unless you're playing Australia, they were all out for 513 near the end of day 4

then the 5th and final day the Aussies rolled England for 129 leaving 168 runs for Australia to get from 216 balls and they did it with 19 balls to spare, which isn't much after over 30 odd hours of play

Amazing victory, Australia lead the 5 test series 2-0 with 3 to go

Congrats Snake, seems to be the season,

I have a few friends that are pregnant at the moment (nothing to do with me) and one of my sisters just had her 3rd three weeks ago.

The pic is at the wrong angle to tell, but it might have your mouth judging by your avatar, not sure about the eyes though.
