It's the middle of winter here, but it has been nice and warm in the day lately, colder at night.

It's been around 25 C the last couple of days, but it's usually around 18 C in winter can drop below 10 C at night.

Computer Team: 290

Cammander Westland got 117
Princess Rosella  even made a 50

but Computer 5 top scored with 129

but haha, they still lost

Dissappointing, this game is a complete cross between KQ3 and SQ3, with inferior graphics, you need your head read.

Moderator This thread should be locked immediately as it contains, illegal warez and pron.

Interesting Game Vel, a bit confusing in what you're supposed to do, and what the point is, but I did like the dialogs, although it was a bit hard to read Trents dialog as the colour was pretty similar to the window sill.

What is the highest vel-factor? I got 14, played a couple more times and got 14 and 13.

A bit rushed, maybe a few more interactions but appart from that, I enjoyed it.

Your so-called "bugs" are nonsense.
My God, be honest to yourself .ro, it is ENVY...

what on earth are you talking about??? and I'm not bagging the game at all, quite the opposite, what I mentioned are a couple of little things that can make the game flawless, and what I mentioned I can recreate, it's all in the timing.
and fixing the F5 and F7 thing is rather easy to do, and easy forget to do before releasing a game, as many people do the same thing. I just thought I would try and help Geoffkahn.

Yvonne, just think before posting next time, no hard feelings

Great game so far Geoffkhan, I just started it, very nice graphics and animations.

just a couple of bugs i found straight away:
Spoiler
You can still press F5 and F7 to bring up the default save and restore gui's

The door down the bottom of the stairs with the rope between, I knocked on the door and I thought I might be able to open the other door when the wizard opens his door, but when I moved the mouse down the bottom of the screen to change cursors the game crashed (just paused because the gui comes up while the animation is happening, so it just pauses the game) this just happened to be the first thing I even tried to do in the game, appart from picking up a few items with the wand

I know you can change modes using the keyboard but having right click to change is so much better, just as another option

Looking forward to playing more of this, where time permits

As far as I'm aware you can only have 15 objects maximum in a room unless one of the latest beta versions increased it (and I looked in the changes and couldn't find it) so I don't know how you got more than 15 to start with.

Apparently lots of objects slows the game down, but I've never noticed it, it must be slow computers, which some people here use, but not the general population of game players.

but it depends on what you are using the objects for, I have an intro in my game with lots of animations, which would need approx 30 objects, maybe more, and it is not possible to do with animated background frames.

I may be able to get around it with changeing a few object sprites in the script and use characters to make up the extra objects.

but generally I don't use many objects, maybe 2 or 3 in evry second or third room, but occasionally as mentioned above, I need more than is AGS legal.

CJ has a new screenname  :o

In other news, Flippy_D picks up the award for the 27-second long sleuthing to figure out who it was.

It took you that long, which method did you use, the easy one is move the mouse over the name and the status bar says:

agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?board=1;action=viewprofile;user=CJ
#1189
also with this line:

function dice();{

you need to leave out the semi colon ie ";"

so the line looks like this:

function dice(){

so it works in all the scripts, do what Barcik says

but if you create a function in the global script, you can call it from the global script without importing it in the script header.

same in a room script

I think most people have seen this before, but this bit is true to an extent

"If GM had kept up with
technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00
cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon".

maybe not so cheap but still, much cheaper than what the colluding bastards sell them to us for now. The only problem is people are just willing to pay out of their arse,(it's a status thing to say how much you can afford) if only people took on these companies, they're just laughing at us all, whilst driving the fancy cars they get for free, even the car salesmen get to drive the cars as company cars.

Interesting theory DG,

And quite possibly a realistic answer,

And Sasha, I never mentioned just one gene, If you were referring to my reference as I said "both might carry the certain genes"

I only use DP, and occasionally M$ Pain or Teh Gimp.

That sounds like some code to me:

I only use Double Penetration
BD$M Pain
The Pimp

That's the thing though, how can it be genetic? The genes wouldn't get passed on...

In theory, that seems right, but how many Homosexuals have kids of their own, either before they decided (came to terms with) they were homosexual or through IVF (probably illegally) or just by putting up with hetro sex for the sake of procreation,Therefore they are still reproducing and have been ever since the dawn of time, so it is genetically possible and probable. (doesn't mean the parent is homosexual, they just may carry a gene that contributes to that, or both might carry the certain genes, therefore more chance in having a homosexual child.

Cancer is a huge problem in our society, and will probably never be wiped out, maybe curable, though a lot of it is due to genetics, and the problem with cancer is it can hit at any age, therefore millions/billions of people reproduce before they get the cancer, and multiply this since the dawn of time, and it's no wonder that everybody seems to die from it if something else doesn't get them first.

Which one wil I get first, Lung, Bowl, Testicular, prostate, It's interesting that More people are aware of Breast cancer and it is more likely curable if found early cause of screening.

Marketing(if you call it that) of womens health has been more successful than mens, and women are more likely to see a Doctor for a mamogram or papsmear, yet men don't get there testes or prostate checked (usually until it's too late) yet these cancers are just as common. I guess breasts are just easier to market.

Women probably care about themselves more, and guys just think, "Yeah, I'll be right, no wucken furry's"

So ha! Ha ha ha! I'm 17 and I was writing (Or, copying out of magazines) codes before all of you! And when I was 8

Nice try, but I made a car game using ascii characters in basic on the C64 in about 1984 [the car was a "*" and the sides of the road were "I" you had to keep the "*" inbetween the "I"'s with the keyboard or you would "CRASH!!!", copying from a book, but it taught me some code and I made a 10 pin bowling game myself, I was about 8 then, so that's about the same thing.

Nice to see other people did that sort of thing when they were so young, I guess lots of people around here did the same.

Nice Character, although He doesn't look that evil.

Remember the old 'Game&Watch' games, they were a small LCD display with a couple of buttons.

I had a game called 'Turtle bridge' You had to jump on turtles backs across river and get a package and bring it back, the only problem was the turtles often went for a dive, and if you jumped then, you would drown. That was basically the game. (wonder if it was the inspiration for Frogga, or a very basic spin off???) I think The original 'Donkey Kong' was on Game&Watch, it was so cool, it had 2 screens.

They were made by nintendo before any of the nintendo game machines were invented.

Good points Bspeers,

I also think Humans think they are outside nature for some reason, eg. When we introduce a species of plant or animal to a different country, we call it an introduced species, and it is not natural to that environment. It's like we exclude ourselves from nature as though we're not part of it.

If a bird eats a seed and flies to another country, shits, the seed from that sprouts and introduces a new plant to that country, we consider that part of the natural course of nature, how is that any different??????

Sure, we might conciously do it, but that doesn't mean it's not part of natural progression of nature. It also doesn't mean that it will be a good idea to introduce the new species, how many fuckups have we caused already, but still, it's happened, therefore it's natural.

Yes, and back on topic, there are many females here but as usual, all the males scare them off

Try Ebay, you can get just about any game you like there, and usually pretty cheap, especially the old ones, but it seems strange that you can buy on ebay but abandonware is wrong, in reality the author is not making any money either way. The only difference is you may get a box

WHA WHA WHAT?
You mean my idea isn't origional?  :'(
* Sasha  looks down
sasha:too bad guys, the idea isn't origional!
boobs:*whimper*
sasha: oh shut up. The game is still going ahead.
boobs: wheee! YAY!

If you were referring to what I said, I was only making the association between The show "The Secret Life of Us" and your game, which is where I just assumed you got the name of the game using a play on words. It could just be coincidence, but I assume you know the show.

Whales are known to beach themselves on occasions, and there is not much evidence why, are they depressed? did their sonar fuck up? maybe they betrayed their god? who knows.

I heard an interesting story about a place in western Australia where many whales have beached themselves, and it wasn't far from a submarine base, it was possible that the sonar was messing with their own signals and it is just a mistake.

also maybe they are drugged by all the pollution near land that we send out to sea, and it messes with thier brains.

We'll probably never find out.

just make the game in english.. and if some german people want to play it, and cant read english make a translation pack

That's a bit harsh Minimi, I asume that Straston is German, so making an English translation is a great effort in itself.
