Sir Donald Bradman: Greatest cricketer Ever by almost 50% to the 2nd best player in History, which makes Jordan and Tiger Woods live in Awe of someone Greater. He Also Was probably one of The most friendly quiet people, He also never cashed in on his success and only played sport for the love of it, not money.
He is now in his afterlife giving Babe Ruth lessons on how to improve his batting. RIP

Adam Gilchrist: Most entertaining Batsman in the modern era is also a wicket keeper (If you don't know cricket, don't worry)

Jason Gillespie: My favorite Current Bowler (cricket)

Curtly Ambrose: West Indian Bowler, loved his attitude, great bloke

John Ronald Reuel T: greatest author

Robert Trujillo: my favorite Bass player (Infectious Grooves)

Al Lowe: The Larry series, plus some earlier and later games

Tim Schafer & Ron Gilbert: For obvious reasons

Dan Castellaneta: Homer Simpson, Grampa Abraham Simpson, Barney Gumble, Krusty, Groundskeeper Willie, Mayor Quimby, Hans Moleman, Sideshow Mel, Itchy, Kodos, Gil, Poochie, Squeaky-Voiced Teen, Burn's Lawyer, Mr. Teeny, Bill Clinton

Hank Azaria: Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, Moe Szyslak, Chief Clancy Wiggum, Comic Book Guy, Lou, Carl, Dr. Nick Riviera, Snake, Kirk Van Houten, Captain McCallister, Bumblebee Man, Supernintendo Chalmers, Professor Frink, Cletus, Dredrick Tatum, Pyro

Harry Shearer: C. Montgomery Burns, Waylon Smithers, Ned Flanders, Principal Skinner, Otto, Reverend Lovejoy, Dr. Julius Hibbert, Kent Brockman, Jasper, Lenny, Edde, Rainier Wolfcastle/McBain, Scratchy, Kang, Herman, George Bush, Judge Snyder

Those last 3 incredible vocal talents, that I'm sure everyone can appreciate.

Imagine if you had that talent, you could make a speech pack on your own

Thomas Edison: Inventor of the electric hammer

That's enough

Does Bass count cause my favorites are

Robert Trujillo: Infectious Grooves, Suicidal Tendencies, and now metallica (I'm not a metallica fan, and I remember them paying out funky bass players, saying they didn't want one after their first bass player died)
but he's awesome.

Les Claypool: Primus, probably one of the most talented I've seen

and as far as normal guitar goes

Brian Setzer: Stray Cats, Brian Setzer Orchestra, awesome rockin' guitarist

General Discussion / Re:Morals anyone?

I'm not religious, but I definately have morals and the 2 really don't have much to do with each other.

I also don't like religious debates, cause it's impossible to win either way.

Just another moralistic point of view on the topic of medicine, should we actually use medicine to heal people. Is it the right thing to do, are we trying to play god too much.

When it's someones turn to go, it should be their time, yet we save peoples lives and try to prolong our lives as long as possible.

Is it just part of our gene's and a will to live, or are we just too scared to see what's on the other side?

Are we scared to lose the ones we love.

From a religious point of view altering the human timeframe is probably seen as wrong in some religions and in others it is seen as a good deed that might help get into heaven.

personally I guess i see medicine in both ways, but I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for medicine which probably goes for many people here. so I can seee the benefit, but I try not to take any medication unless it is necessary, I have a good immune system cause I never take antibiotics to get over anything, just ride it out.

I don't get fanatical about cleaning too much cause having some germs around builds up your immunities, ever notice that people that are obsesive compulsive cleaners are more often sick, I never take panadol for a headache cause placebos do nothing.

Drug company's are some of the lowest forms of business out there so be careful and make sure you have a trust worthy doctorb

I'm just losing myself in thoughts here.

Medicine is a major part of our society these days but is it what was supposed to happen, was anything supposed to happen, are we just part of someone elses reality.

Is medicine just turning into big business, Australia is just about to head down the same road as the USA in terms of healthcare, it's just going to go from one of the best health care systems in the world to private sector bullshit that will be great if you have money but it will deter people who would normally go to a doctor.

maybe someone can make a virtual doctor in AGS, that'll save on some health care and probably be just as effective.

should we try to cure Cancer or HIV/AIDS, maybe these are things that were meant to happen to thin out our numbers, maybe they are teaching us lessons in what not to do and we haven't figured out all the do's and don'ts yet.

now there's some more topics and contradictions etc and the b is for bargain

If it's obvious it is a joke, there is no reason you can't pick on religion or anything else.

The way I see it is if you can't take a joke, you're not really human, or you deserve to be offended.

Comedy Inc and Skithouse are enought to ruin sketch comedy for anyone.

True, there's a new one on channel 7, that is identicle to both of them, it's just a phase that will wear thin pretty soon, They all seem to be very similar to that Pommy one "the sketch show" which was just as bad.

Monty python was in a different class, but a lot of their stuff was pretty shit too, it's just the classics that stand out, plus it was in an era when that stuff hadn't been done on TV before, now it has, coming up with new shit in comedy is almost impossibe.

I only just got a chance to come to the forum a while ago and it didn't let me, obviously it's back now, but I missed a day anyway cause my computer crashed.

Some files must have been corrupted on my HD in the OS files, couldn't get passed the windows logo screen, did a format lost some stuff but importantly I had backed up my latest project including 70 odd crm files 500 sprites etc a week ago so I didn't lose much of that.

I also copied some sprites and crm files I had altered by using a trusty boot disk and using good old DOS.

My computer crashing must have crashed the forum

So Evenwolf, Is the sketch show going to be aired anywhere or is it just a personal project.

Sounds like fun, it must be hard writing sketch shows cause the ones I see on TV, I only get a laugh out of a couple of clever sketches and the rest are usually just not funny or toilet humor, good luck with the show

I'm losing the subject....  :-\

I loved the intro on kq2vga, the 3d part that is.
I assume they used 3dstudiomax?

Ask Relight, I think he was the one who made it, I think I've heard him mention 3dsmax before, not sure.

As for doing 3d rendered bgrounds or movie like cutscenes, they can be awesome if done right, give it a go and see what you can do.

I can enjoy 3d, 2d and the famous 1d

I'm glad I don't have to think about these types of things anymore.

last course I did I got straight A's and passed with distinction, that's enough 4 me and to get into the course I was selected on selection test and personality test, they took 32 people from over 1000 applicants.

It hasn't got anything to do with my current job either, grades mean shit, uni can help get you a degree, but unless you do a specific course, good luck getting a job with it in this day and age.

well at least a job you want to do.

Good luck to everyone sitting exams, but remember it's not the end of the world if you don't get what you want.

Yeah, I thought the 301 was better, the Tony Hawk cameo was ordinary, but there aren't many good cameos, the chili peppers was my favourite

"what I'd like to do is hug and kiss you"

"yeah, everybody can enjoy that"

paraphrase^^

I thought tony hawk was cool 15 years ago, and it took that long for him to be on the show, I'm glad i didn't wait for it.

I thought they could have done more with Bart moving out of the house.

In 301 I loved the idea that they couldn't make the Burger anymore cause the animal they used became extinct.

Mmmmm Thylacine Thickshake

Panda I think you miss read what I said or I misread you, but Magic Johnson found out he had HIV pretty early after he was infected with it. I'm just not sure how long ago it was, I thought it was when I was in year 10 which was 12 years ago for me, but it could have been less years ago but I'm sure it was when I was atleast still at school, which is 10 years ago.

So he has survived a while without it developing into AIDS, but being an athlete he's probably quite healthy to start with and having his money probably helps get the best treatment too. A big advantage over people living in undeveloped countries.

of course remexior. I think that gov. aid ought to be used to educate these people about how exactly they get AIDS, as the current rate of infection is so high, that some countries might cease to exsist in 10 years

True, well not completely, whole countries won't dissappear, it's funny that HIV/AIDS is the commercial virus and there are plenty of other STD's and things like Hep B that are much more common and people don't even know about them.

Education is hard to help these people cause most of the seriously effected areas have non existant education programs, and teaching doesn't always work that well as people tend to rebel against it.

The first mistake or miscomprehension people make is Calling HIV, AIDS, they are 2 separate things, HIV can Lead to AIDS, but there is progress in preventing the oncome.

I saw a documentary on a place in southern Africa, where most of the population had HIV, A lot of the Men who know they are going to die go around raping the women. In the General population the average woman has been raped twice. Very sad, it's out of control, and people who are educated about it, and have HIV, abuse people who have no education.

I haven't heard much about Magic Johnson lately but I don't think he has AIDS yet and it must have been at least 12 years ago now that he was infected with HIV. So It is also possible to live with HIV for longer periods these days.

I think eventually some people will just have a natural immunity to it, and will be the future of Human success, But SARS still might get them.

There's only just been some recent cases of SARS in Australia, I guess it's inevitable.

There is no easy way to deal with diseases, or educate people about them, they are just a natural phenomena, that will probably live amongst us forever, they may even out live us if there are viable hosts.

Lol! ScummVM don't support FT fully yet. It jumps to different parts at the moment. That will probably teach you not to download warez, k?

I can still play it though now cause I worked out how to set up the sound, so I don't need Scummvm.

I would have bought it if I could find it but after playing it I wouldn't pay more than $10 AUS for it.
#1380
I'd never played Full Throttle until yesterday when I d/l it cause i could never find it in shops.(it's the full talkie version)

To be honest, I thought it was below average for what I was expecting, people build it up to be one of the greats but it let me down in that respect.

It was OK, the story was pretty thin, there weren't many places to go and it took me about as long to finish as it did to download. (4-5 hours)

Allthough I used scummvm just so I could hear the sound and voices, I couldn't get the sound to work just running the game file.

With Scummvm it cuts out some of the game, I noticed at the start with scummvm it doesn't have the action parts on the bike etc. Also later on I think it skipped a whole section cause it gave me some new items and suddenly a jump appeared before the broken bridge. It gave me some message on the screen about mines or something.

Also you can't use the keyboard when using scummvm to control. It was so hard controlling the car with the mouse in the demolition derby.

I'll have to play again and sacrifice sound just to see what scummvm cut out. The graphics and animation is alot smoother without scummvm too.

Is there another way to get Sound to work without scummvm?

(EDIT: I got the sound to work without it by running the imuse.exe)

I think If I'd played the game before Grim Fandango I might think differently, but FT sucks, so I couldn't care a less about FT2, I don't feel as close to Ben as I did to Manny.
