2002 - This is the one I started with

2003 - then briefly I changed to this

then

Then I discovered a PHP script thanks to juncmodule that allows you to have a random avatar everytime the page loads, so this gave me an oportunity to have as many as I liked. here are some of them.

A Meet the Feebles theme

A Where the Wild Things are theme

other random images

I've used this for the last 18 months

so I think it's time for a new one.

I used to have more extentions but since the versions kept changing and installing my system again, I never got them all again.

ones I have installed now

Adblock - makes you breakfast

Paste and Go - pastes url's directly from the clipboard and goes directly to the site, it's identical to pasting and then pressing enter without having to press enter [a standard Opera feature]

Happy B'day SSH,

30 isn't old, as with Darth it's only a year and a month older than me.

I can't wait till I'm 30, cause then I might look 25

Anyone had a play around with this cool program before?

World Wind
http://learn.arc.nasa.gov/worldwind/

it's really only for broadband users as you need a highspeed connection to use it and the program to download is about 260MB, but It's pretty cool, you can pretty much zoom into anywhere on the earth and get pretty close too.

I just had a little muck around with it to see if I could find my house, I could get close but it was a bit too pixelly.

This one is pretty much the Sydney area

This one is zoomed in more to Sydney Harbour, you can see the Harbour Bridge and Opera house around the centre of the pic

I live near the bottom left corner of this one, and I'd love to live near the top right corner, maybe one day.

I reduced the size and quality of the pics to fit in the post.

Well worth the download if you are interested in geography and maps stalking

feel free to post your city

It'll be jan 2 in about half an hour, well into this year already.

I'm still recovering from last night, I didn't even notice when it hit midnight, but I do remember trying to call people and not being able to get through as everyone in town was on the phone at the same time.

as for resolutions, I never make them, but I should, well atleast quit smoking before I'm 30

I wan't being bleak about the whole thing, just stating the realities living on this planet.

people will help, life will go on as normal (given time), people will be remembered, people will be forgotten.

It will happen again and the cycle will continue. (whether it be 6 weeks or 6 million years)

I noticed another thread about some asteroid or something, that's another thing that happens that could wipe out life as we know on this planet, and has happened before wiping out whole species.

and what I mean by natural selection is, random events happen on this earth, people, animals etc are in different places at different times, certain events may happen, people will live, people will die and it shapes the way of the future.

Ever heard that saying 'shit happens'  it's just a summary of the meaning of life (and the shit that happens isn't always bad)

the most annoying thing I've seen since, on tv was an American show ET

the headline story was 'supermodel survives tsunami'

of all the stories to sensationalise in that way, when so many people have been killed, it was just completely irresponsible (they even briefly mentioned that her boyfriend had been swept away and was missing, but she was ok so it's alright) I supose you've gotta expect it from a show like that

I was quite interested that there wasn't a big post about this 3 days ago, I sort of started a thread about it 2 days ago, but I was just trying to start it up in a pointless thread that got locked (a few posts down)

I guess it must of taken time to spread over the christmas period as people were'nt infront of their tv's.

How long before Bush declares mother nature a terrorist, and goes out to destroy her (oh that's right, he's been trying to all along)

Here's what I posted, and it may have a few contexts that were intended for the original thread it was in:

QuoteYes, the Tsunami (tidal wave) in Sout East Asia & surrounding areas is quite a disaster if anyone has not heard about it yet.

which is fairly old news by now, but it makes you think that people worry so much about terrorists these days only through media, that natural disasters like this kill so many more people with no intent. and are still made out to be a terrible thing.

To be completely honest, natural disasters have their place, and if they take me at some stage, that's just part of life.

Any coast line is suseptable to these particular disasters, that's the risk you take living there. same with bush fires if you live in the bush, volcanos if you live near one, floods if you live near a river, cyclones (hurricaines, typhoons) if you live in the areas, ice falling and killing you if you live in a cold climate, earthquakes if you live near a fault line.

it's all part of natural selection, don't get me wrong, it is a tragedy, and I feel for those affected, but the way the media loves this especially over the hardest part of the year to get a story is annoying.

Oh yeaah that's right, I can see the conspiracy coming, 5000 suicide bombers went diving in the Indian Ocean, and all detonated at the same time to cause this, and before all that they tested it by starting this thread.....

LOTR extended edition trilogy - haven't seen any of the extended additions yet or watched any for about a year so I'm looking forward to it.

some movie vouchers

a few books

some salted cashews

a few other odds and ends

I bought myself a Home Brew kit a not long ago, and I just spent the last few hours bottling my first batch, so in a few weeks I'm looking forward to over sampling it. (Boxing day, now known as Bottling Day)

I spent christmas day with relatives for lunch, I see them fairly often so it wasn't a big catch up or anything, but a great day. My little sister is due for her first child in 12 days so she's got a pretty big stomach, I was predicting it to be born on christmas but I guess I was wrong.

I spent the evening with a few close friends for dinner and more drinks.

Ya beat me to it josh, well five minutes to go by my count, but by the time I post it it will be pretty close.

10 days off woo hoo, pity I wrote my car off on the way home, well not my fault but still took the edge off my excitment, but I'm not too down about it, as they say the lord works in mysterious ways, not that I'm religious.

I've had the annual christmas eve beers, and walked home about 7km and feel completely sober, (well almost) a strange day in all,  but all part of the equation

merry stuff and all that

It's the rich and powerful that fuk it up for everyone.

If you move to another country and you are already rich or have potential to help the Economy they will accept you ahead of anyone else.

If you are just trying to start a new life, without having to worry about where your next meal is coming from or dodging bullets, you can just fuck off, hows that gonna help us.

This is why people tend not to mix as much in general and hang out in their own towns or suburbs. Sydney is fairly multicultural, but as with most large cities, there are certain cultural groups living in certain areas,

The younger generation seem to mix quite easily when they are in the earlier years of school, but it seems as they get older they tend to want to know more about their heritage and slip back into their own groups.

you would think that over many generations, everyone would become friends, but if that was the case, it would have happened by now. So it must be animal instinct that cause all the problems (along with greed and money).  We like to think we are more superior, but we act just like other animals, trying to be more dominant to be noticed in the crowd.

If it were up to me, you could choose to live anywhere in the world you like for as long or short as you like, no visas or passports, It's our World, Universe. none of this I'm from country A or B, we are all just cells hanging about on a rock, without having any say in where we start on it.

I know why this wouldn't work, but it was the way it was intended to work.

We could choose to wear turbans, bras, kilts, strap-ons, nothing, does it really matter, we all know what's underneath (generally), what's more important is just accepting people for who they are, if you don't like them, find someone you do like, and don't put everyone else down.

sounds simple, but we still haven't mastered it.

I had a play around with changing my information on the games page to match my profile but it doesn't seem to work that way.

also note this line "NOTE: don't use important passwords as the admin can see them"

I do have different information for that very reason, maybe it only works with recent entries?
#300
I only just noticed that this existed but I can't figure out how to enter the details.

In your profile there is now a "My Games" section, but there doesn't seem to be any way to enter the details. I thought it would be in your "forum profile information" section, but I can't see it, and I've looked a few times, maybe I'm just blind.

I noticed that some people have their games listed so there must be some way to do it.

Anyway, is this missing from the new forums or is there some trick to it?

there's probably a more recent thread to put this in but this is the one I found using the search feature.
