very young kids with drugs at school is obviously something to do with the parents (unless they got them from their local dealer)

Paris can just get fucked the stupid bitch, I wish the horse did a proper job

There is no excuse for Fat kids, it's obviously the parents fault for feeding them too much and letting them play computer games too much and too much tv, not burning off what they consume. (with a few rare exceptions like a thyroid or hormonal problem [but most of the time they are just excuses for bad diet & no exercise]) It's also the same for adults.

It's funny how some fat people make excuses and blame it on heredity (although that can be a factor, it's still just an excuse) It's funny how people say they just can't lose the weight (while eating 5 hot dogs and a plate of chips) then sitting on their arse (no fucking wonder).

Larger people do need to work harder to stay in shape, but it is laziness & diet that causes obese individuals. (and of course psychology plays a major role)

No offense to anyone that is overweight, but you know deep down that if you put in the effort you will be rewarded. It takes time, maybe even years, but it's a lifestyle not a chore.

There's a demo game you can download on the page where you d/l AGS right next to it

http://www.agsforums.com/acdload.htm

also it helps if you follow the tutorial in the Help file that comes with AGS

welcome, and enjoy

yeah, since quite apart from recognising the clues, the way you said cricket instead of critic was telling, as well as the fact you used your real email.

That's funny cause it didn't even cross my mind about the email, I never even noticed you could see the email of guests, but yes cricket was a clue as well as the use of different brackets

actually timosity, there were a large amount of UFO sightings in Belgium [i think] which caused a huge uproar and the government met with UFOologists [or whatever they are] and tried to figure out what to do about it.

I was being rather general, There have been sightings all over the world, you just tend to hear about it more from the US, and that's more likely because we get a lot of US TV.

But I also think that a lot of TV makes people think that there are Aliens landing on earth. (it's possible, but not likely [with all the equipment we have, I'm sure we'd have a better idea]{but hey, they could just be invisible to us, and us to them <we are both co-existing without any idea>})

I guess there are a lot of conspiracy theories (eg. the US Govt. covering up secret missions and failed experiments by blaming it on something that can't be proven etc)

If you report something and it makes the news, other people will do copycat reports (they may have seen the same thing eg. a large meteorite hitting the atmosphere) but copycat situations are very common. EG. coughing in a room full of people, other people with cough.

but my post wasn't too serious, just like this one

Actually  IMHO is either 'Honest' or 'Humble', I think of it as 'Honest' in my head. (but if I use it I usually drop the 'H' and just leave it as 'IMO' [which could also be mistaken for 'In Memory Of'])

When I see 'LOL' I think "League Of Losers", cause that's what you are.

ROTFLMFAO and the like are the most pathetic acronyms I've ever heard, I'm glad I don't see it often around here. and I don't think of how to say it cause I just ignore it, and think "LOL"

I think it was established that I was Verbal Kint, by Naranjas (that's If I understood his answer), that's why I confirmed it with a indirect answer.

Probably the other shit they sent up to Mars the last few times.

On another note, I watched that movie 'Communion' today, and the Aliens in that movie, the ones with the big eyes that are now Iconic, were only masks covering what they really looked like.

So this obsession with that alien look was just some stupid misunderstanding of someone, quite funny really.

Also what's the human obsession about aliens with the anal probe?

And why do Aliens only hang out in the USA?

I went on a Fishing Surfing weekend spanning a whole 40 hrs

included 8 hours travel (4 each way)
5 hours sleep

Stayed at my mates, parents holiday house at Batemans Bay which is about 310km (193 miles) south of my place. Great house right on the beach, literally (well on the small hill just above the sand about 15 meters back)

The surf was dead, so fishing was the answer. We went out in the Dinghy and ended up catching about 20 fish, 9 of legal size which we kept.

While we were sitting in the boat, 2 Dolphins came past not more than 5 meters from the boat, awesome.

It was just great to relax in front of the ocean for a couple of days.

The weather was great until Sunday afternoon about 5pm when it started raining. So when I eventually had to leave, It rained the whole way home, 4 hours of driving at night in the rain, you really have to keep alert, especially when you're not too familiar with the roads, but it was actually a really enjoyable drive.

I wish I could have gone for a whole week or 2.

We get some pretty big storms in Sydney, really intense and do a lot of damage about 1 or 2 a year during summer. (This year during summer we had thunder storms very frequently, I don't remember a time when there were as many [and they still brought fuck all rain with them]

My sister Lives in Cairns which is right up near the top right pointy bit of Australia and the whole town was cut off in every direction by flooding, from the recent Cyclone. She's also 8.75 months pregnant so it could be any day now, I hope she can get to a hospital, although both she and her husband are midwives. (but that might not help if there's any major problems, I hope not)

Cyclones are pretty frequent up in the tropics, but they haven't had a wet season up there for 2 years, so I guess the rain is due.

For those that are scared of flying, the fact is that if you caught a plane anywhere in the world every day of your life, for 40,000 years, you would more likely be in a fatality.

Another game I'm not sure about is 'Bert'. Was that made in AGS? It's about a guy who gets fired from his job at some TV station, and he has to break in to the building and teach his boss a lesson.

yep Pete, Bert - The Newsreader (by Anton Ulvfot aka Vargtass) I think he also goes by the name Machine elf, was made with AGS.

Winner of the MAGS comp in June 2002

I remember playing that, Great game

I was just doing a bit of experimenting in Audacity, so I edited one of your sounds, I hope you don't mind, I think I got your voice sounding similar to a trombone.

anyway here's what happened You loser

Here's another test, what did I say?

The answer

And now I'm just getting silly, AGSamp

If you've heard the sample winamp startup message, here's an edit.

for those that don't know, it says this
"Wimamp.... It really whips the llamas ass"

note: It was late so I had to whisper into mic

Well, I'm not much of an Atari fan, but I used to want one when I was a kid, and my parents wouldn't get one, A console with just games seemed stupid to them. But they made up for it with these.

These were what Nintendo became famous for in the 80's before they created a console and also the path maker for the Gameboy.

These are the originals of some famous titles:
Donkey Kong

Mario Bros

Then there were others

I still own this one 'Turtle Bridge'

And my sister had this one 'Fire'

Oh yeah, I've never played Xbox, so I can't compare, I don't own a PS2, I only have a Sega Megadrive

I just checked it out in Opera 7.23 and it looks exactly the same as Firefox & IE

That's in 1024 * 768 resolution.

Just one thing that is impossible to fix (it seems) outside IE, is when you set a certain text size in a Style Sheet.

EG:

If you change the text size in IE on your current site, the text remains the same size no matter what (which is I assume how you prefer it) but If you use other browsers like, Netscape & Firefox, you can change the size of the text (it overrides the code, or that code isn't applicable in those browsers).
Which can screw up a page because some old bastard can't see properly, so make the text really big (which of course will be us in a few years)

It's a bit different in Opera, I couldn't adjust the text size, but you can zoom in (which does the whole page, which is a good thing)

This isn't a problem but it is one thing that always got to me when trying to make the site look how you want it, on all browsers (including the specifications of personal browser settings & Windows settings), and as far as I know, It's impossible to get around this.

Note: this part ^^ is more a bitch about browsers when designing than any problems with your site.

Quest for Glory 4 1/2, or Night of the Hermit were the first games I played I think,  but there were also some smaller games that I found which had just come out, they may have been before but I'm not sure: Sam the Pirate Monkey & Who Killed Kenny Rogers.

I'd tried AGI first, then SCI, then found AGS, played a few games, then created a game before even joining this forum as only Geeks use forums.

I'd been using AGS on and off for over a year before I gave in to the nerdiness & decided to use the forum.

Now it doesn't seem so nerdy to me as everyone seems pretty normal, but I think that's because you've all dragged me down to your level. :P
