It is a GIF file, is there a way i can import this whole file

also GIF files aren't supported you will have to first convert to BMP, or PCX, or PNG or TGA

How come the BG isn't in 800 by 600, I thought you'd want to take advantage of the resolution, you'll probably need to use 32-bit aswell, just to cut down the file size,.

There's something similar between doug and toby,

they're both masterbating.

They could just change slave to apprentice, and intead of male/female, strapon/female

Excellent stuff Eric,

I loved the whole, Engalwood stone thingy, and I usually hate 'spell' type games, very clever gui. The graphics are excellent and the use of lighting effects work well, The puzzles (only just makes plural) are clever. As usual it's too short as for most MAGS games, but I can see a lot of effort has gone in with the thought behind it all, the scripting, the manual etc.

A very good quality product (as what I expected), in such a short time, This months MAGS has got a lot of quality about it so far, and so few entries compared to how many people entered originally. It will be tough to decide.

People are so silly and political correctness has gone way too far, although I was listening to the radio thismorning, an heard something about 'reverse racism',

It's the most rediculous term as it is descriminating, It should just be termed 'Racism' since it's the same thing from whichever race to another.

These contradictary terms just prove how intolerant the world still is (especially when trying so hard not to be), I don't think it's changed in general in thousands of years, and in some cases it's probably much worse (although it seems to be more about money now, not so much your physical inheritance of genetically enhanced dna [although in some cases that helps you get more financially equiped]). I know most people here are pretty tolerant, but what it comes down to, is it's all California's fault.

Note: It's not really California's fault, but it will be funny when it falls into the Pacific Ocean.

Great stuff DG, very basic so far, but it's a good template, and I'm sure the other volunteers will help make it superb.

Vel, in last years award there was this:

Best Sound Effects in an AGS Game
Winner: Calsoon 2 - Christian Blomqvist, Daniel Macpherson, Courtland Leksutin, Mark Lovegrove, Andreas Slotte, Petter Ljungqvist, and Johan Lindgren

(I never played it with the sound pack, so I assume they were the voices, or maybe just the farting)

Even though it wasn't specifically for speech, so it's still possible to get an award in that category.

personally I don't think there's enough games with voices to warrant an award, but I guess the general interest will decide.

Very nice Mr_Frisby, The animations are great, and the style and mood are awesome, All though the nature of the game is confusing I'm not sure if I'm stuck or it's a bug.

Spoiler
I'm on Godzilla's head for the  3rd time I've just come from the bedroom, after getting the slingshot & bible, I also have a doll and fingernail (I think) it took me to godzilla again, he falls off, you get a flash of the king kong scene again, it goes blank for some time, then you appear back at zombies and he falls off edge (automatically I think) then you're back at Godzillas head, it seems stuck in a loop there. when I pressed alt-x it was stuck in room 1, line 184

It is a very different game from what I've seen, and I'm sure there will be some great coments to come.

EDIT: I just noticed you uploaded a new version, I don't know if what I mentioned has anything to do with that, you'll have a better idea, if you understand my post.

EDIT2: I just had another go, and you may have fixed it:
Spoiler
I didn't start with the plane this time, so that may have been something to do with it

I will try again later as I need to sleep before work tomorrow.

Cool little game there Mats, I enjoyed it, the graphics were good, the music suited, The puzzles were fairly easy but that wasn't a problem, it allowed the game to flow.

Spoiler
A couple of little bugs, when you talk to the hungry guy after you have the root, he still mentions he'll give you the root for food.

if you try to walk past the first guard in the castle without talking to him, the game crashes giving an error about changing rooms twice in the same script.

A great Mags game.

You can set the width and height of inventory items space in the inventory using:

SetInvDimensions (int width, int height)

eg.

SetInvDimensions(30,40);

just play around with the numbers to suit your needs.

and put it in the global script after this:
function game_start() {
// called when the game starts, before the first room is loaded

It can be found in 'Inventory functions' in the help file that comes with AGS

I think that's what your after, hope it helps,

Yes there was a desktop thread, but it has long slipped off the end of the forum, I remember someone with my game on their desktop, I was excited.

This is a photo of the earth from space if you can't tell, I change my desktop once in a while, and I usually find some excellent photo images from this site.

True, you can get cancer pretty much anywhere, although breast cancer in men is slightly different as the tissues in men and womens breats are different. One of my male teachers at school had a malignant lump removed from his chest. It's actually more comon than you think, It's just that womans health gets a lot more publicity, especially breasts.

There are cancers in men like testicular (usually in younger men) and prostate (usually in older men) that are just as common as breast & cervical cancer, that need to get the same sort of recognition to help make people aware, to help prevention, and early diagnosis.

Positivity in life (as well as diet) can help prevent some cancers to some extent, or can help your recovery quite dramatically. So I'd say sex, felatio, and other erotic stimulation, can be a positive effect on your health, plus sex is a good form of exercise (if done right)

although having many partners may not be a great idea, especially for women, I'm not being sexist or anything but there have been studies that show that cervical cancer is more common amoung women that have had more partners.

but in the end Heredity is the biggest factor in determining cancers (well, plus smoking and bad diet [including alcohol]) so It's all Adam & Eve's fault (well, atleast their kids) for creating an inbread society.

General Discussion / Re:WISH ME LUCK

Speeding is a major problem in Aus, and probably everyehere else, I've had my license and a car for over 10 years and I've only picked up 1 speeding ticket for going about 12km over the limit.

I've had a lot of luck not getting caught in my earlier driving years, I used to be a bit crazy driving, but speeding can be fun, as much as it can be stupid, that's why they have car racing on race tracks, not the open streets.

I'm pretty safe these days, just take it all calmly, even if I'm stuck behind a sunday driver.

But it's ridiculous these days, the cars they have on the road, the power they have, and nowhere to actually use the power. I think it's all a conspiracy to get people to speed to get revenue, even an ad for a car has people outrunning cops as a selling point.

an interesting point, that is just a scam that could be easily fixed, is fuel economy, (the main reason behind it is because of the most devious companies in the world, oil companies) The Model T Ford is as fuel economical as the most recent Fords, maybe even moreso. What the fuck have the engineers been doing all this time, creating more fuel guzzling cars to sell more fuel. The whole industry is related and so very corrupt. We could so easily not need fuel for cars, but for some strange reason, they aren't changing the system. I wonder why??????????

I was bored today, so I found a few midis and put them in the game.

I just searched a few free midi sites, nothing too exciting, but now the game finally has a sound track.

featuring songs by:

Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Prodigy
Simon & Garfunkel
Europe
Rancid
Devo
Rage against the machine

Also if you haven't played this game, it is already outdated since it was written before the war in Iraq.

When I designed this game I had the idea of a Thread that goes on and off topic, which the game does.

The puzzles are ordinary, but it was more about a silly story, just remember to spit in the sandpit, that's probably the hard thing to figure out. (if you didn't read the subliminal message in the readme)

If you feel like replying, fine, otherwise just let it slip back into oblivion

you can still get it here:

it's about 1.3MB

Also there are usually jumpers on the back of your drive, You can set the main drive that boots up your operating system to MASTER and the other drive to SLAVE, or Auto or something like that, there's usually a diagram on the back of your hard drive.

heh tim, didja read the rest of the thread?

Yeah, I read the thread but I was just making sure, cause the way I see it, people were telling Yufster about that point for her game and then just giving links to their own games, which wouldn't be saved with the right version.

I was just reminding the fact that it is not just Yufsters game that needs the right version, but all the other peoples games too. Therefore everyone would have to recompile their games before posting a link to it.

That's all I was saying, and I know some people were aware eg. junc

Hehe, that's the first rule of tattoos, don't get a partners name, if you get any name, use one of your kids names, atleast they will always be your kids (maybe a DNA test first if necessary [unless they're adopted, or your partners kids from another relationship])

I don't have any tattoos, as I have never thought of something I would have permanently, and I always change my mind about things, especially styles of art I like.

My best mate has got his whole left arm done in 50's music style from above the shoulder to wrist, there's heaps of detail and it looks awesome, but I'd only get a tattoo I could hide.

He also has a Sharp symbol "#" on his chest, a large treble clef on the side of his lower left leg, a red arrow outlined in black from his ankle to his hip, a viking on his pubic region (same as the green one in my avatar), and apparently he has one on his dick, I believe him.

He's planning on doing his other arm with a James Bond theme.

He's addicted alright. I'll see if I can get some photo's from him. He's also the Fishing Rocker in Larrywilco: Paradise Lost, but it doesn't have his tats.

I met this girl that had a band around her arm in elvish, she was a Tolkien fan, it looked better than any other band around the arm i'd ever seen, quite narrow, and the detail was excellent.

check out this thread

http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?board=8;action=display;threadid=6297

but if you want people to see the picture check out the 2nd or 3rd post

also, this forum is for AGS beginner questions, so it's probably the wrong forum to post this question, but that's ok, just remember for next time.
#859
Just out of interest, wouldn't the games from other people have to have the non mp3 version aswell, so if you want to use their games, you'll have to get them to compile their games with the non-mp3 version of AGS aswell.

you can use my games if you like, but I doubt you will. (they aren't that well known, but better than alot of them)
#860
Yeah I have suggested this before, and Pumaman said he'd add it to his list.

http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=7836

I don't know how much of a priority it is, but I did solve the problem with setting character baselines.

but yes, this is a good suggestion, as for the reasons I explained in the above thread I mentioned. (note I explain how I solved it in the post with the pics)
