Nice entries and no easy decision, but I really like the bagpiper, so my vote for Darkdan! :)

I remember a related thread: Oceanspirit Dennis complete universe
The infos here and there could/should somehow be merged, partially.

There should be adventure games with that technique:
- "Use KEY on DOOR."
- "I'll get to that immediately, check by after 30 minutes to see how it turned out!"

Can be done with AGS! And would fill the "Full length games" category in no time :=

Meet François et Guillaume, who, besides being born as one two-headed and three-legged person, have odd hands and many awesome adventures involving French food and Eiffel towers!

(don't want to be nitpicking, but >hover here<  ;))
Erm, it's.. right there, at the top of that lever! Well okay.. ;D

Congrats NickyNice!

My vote goes to NickyNyce for the IMO best use of the shape, and the largest amount of blood :)

PROBE: Maybe when you left-click on it the cursor becomes the probe inventory cursor?
Good idea!

I'd prefer a permanently visible inventory window (or visible if you move the mouse to the top edge), since we don't have any verbs, there should be enough room at the top of the screen. This saves one click and the time to find the item you're looking for.

In my opinion, the speech time is okay, but I agree that it's hard to follow the dialog in the intro because of the distance of the dialog lines.

If there are going to be more struggle-clicks, there should be a point (say, after 3 out of 5 clicks) where the poodle looks already a bit bloated from all the blood :)

Oh, and there should be a label showing the name of the currently hovered hotspot.

Looks good so far!

But hard to find if it's not in the manual (at least I couldn't find it there)

Beware, serious entry coming in!

We see Robert Naïveperson getting treated by Dr. Edd Full, who claims to have found a cure for Robert's placebo-allergy, and offered the treatment free of charge. What a kindhearted person!
Dr. Full makes use of an evil-looking machine, which is so evil-looking that it's censored in this image.
But medical instruments always look a bit strange, so there's really nothing Robert should be worried about, nothing that would give away that there could possibly be anything wrong with this doc - but what's this? Robert's not looking too good now! Oh my! Must be an accident - poor Robert!

I'm playing it at the moment, it's great so far! :)

Got an error/crash though, when

As of today, facebook has gone completely kaput on me using Firefox.
Something like this maybe? http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=43151.0

I don't want to see my next handy-bill
For non-german members: cellphone bill  ;)
What, we have non-german members here? :=

I'm with Hudders on the cursor issue, a right-click look, left-click action interface would probably suffice. But in the end, I'm fine with all cursor versions.

Secret Fawful, nice close-ups, I prefer the first version of the blonde in your last post. Using the same hair style makes it easier to see that they're twins (although this is somewhat irrational in real life...)

Breaks for me too, using IE 8 (8.0.6001.18702)

Maybe try adding a z-index for the a-element in hover state, not or not only for its child element:
Code: ags
#shot:hover {
    z-index:100;
}

Adding this before "#shot:hover span" solved the issue for me.

Yeah, I first thought disabling the plugins would help, but it really only helps a little bit. With scaling it behaves like you say.
So, factors that influence the problem are, so far:
- plug-ins/add-ons
- zoom
- affected website (maybe invalid HTML/CSS code)
- other open websites, I think
- maybe even other open applications?
- the weather probably too...
- secret ingredient X

It's strange that only very few people seem to have this problem, I don't think my system and configuration is anything special... and it's unfair, everyone else should suffer, too!!1 >:(

My vote goes to BillyCoen, because I think his idea fits best with the grey palette.

Finished it now, awesome ending! :)

Took me quite a while since this last post here because it was indeed not possible to do finish it with the savegame from the other version: one hotspot, namely

wasn't there, which I only found out after replaying it today from the beginning. Before that, I only tried every combination of items and actions and searched every pixel because I thought I'd just missed something obvious. :-\

It's hard to cast a vote, they're both good!

So, to make the voting more thrilling, I'm just going to vote for Scarab, because he put more time into the making of his game :=

On a sidenote, has anyone here read the sixth book of the Hitchhiker's trilogy, "And Another Thing" by Eoin Colfer?

I always know where my towel is!

And I always wonder where Tabata gets all her smileys from!
