...as most of you probably know by now.
But just in case, for those who don't:

They've got some pretty decent offers on adventure games and several other genres.

The offer ends on Monday 9:59AM GMT.

Just got meself 'The Last Express' and the complete 'Quest for Glory' series for roughly 4 â,¬.

Is this intentional?
Just wondering since "Bug and Suggestion Tracker" is quite obvious and fairly self-explanatory.

But once you are signed in it says "Projects" in the menu bar and as far as I can see both of them
link to the identical bug-tracker page.

Oh, for CRYING out loud! I just realized I missed the deadline for the
reader's choice poll of the ADVENTURE GAMERS AWARDS!

It seemed to be THE year for AGS games! (Resonance, The Journey Down, Primordia, The Cat Lady! And Adventure Gamers
is such a good site to get the word out. AAAAhhhh, Feck-feck!
(Kept putting it off, "tomorrow after work I'll vote"... :embarrassed:)

I'm such a numbskull! If I could I'd kick my own ass right now. Would anyone mind doing it for me, please!

I hope most of you did fare better and went voting? /(M**+F***@bleep$&#!bleep!bleep!grrrr!)

An hour ago Ultima 6 Project has been released!

Adventure meets RPG

8 years of development time and it is finally here!

This game is everything over-marketed commercial pieces of cra... ..."entertainment software" are NOT!
I will spare you with all those grand features which captured me personally, there're just too many.

Worth mentioning though, they created their own conversation engine from scratch.
Really extensive and interesting conversations (not generic ones!) with dialog trees and all.

It actually matters, not only what you say, but how you say it at times. (which other RPG has that?)

Love the in-game Compendium too, encyclopedic knowledge about the world you travel in, plus,
keeping you updated on your various quests.

BUT, MOST important to US: ...tons and tons of clue gathering, sleuthing & riddle solving!

Brilliant! ;D

Take a look and let me know what you think people,

Do you still remember the Ultima Series?

[Especially Ultima 7: The Black Gate & Ultima 7 Part II: The Serpent Isle - I loved those games - this is where Adventure meets RPG.
Really clever and well thought through clue gathering and puzzle solving, in a vast world with seemingly endless possibilities of interaction (harvest wheat, grind it to flour, add water, put in oven, bake bread, sell it/ forge your own weapons - just some examples) and where every NPC had his own personal daily routine.] <--- insignificant rambling!!!

Now,
Ultima 6 Project has remade the 6th part of this grand series in a 3D environment.
This massive project has been under development for the last 8 (!) years.

It's in the final beta testing stage, before release.

Downloaded it for fun the other day, not expecting much:
I have to tell you, this is without a doubt, the single most IMPRESSIVE fan-effort I have EVER seen in any game!!

If Lazarus(*) was a grand effort - Ultima 6 Project, and what you get, is INSANE!!

Even if you're only remotely interested, check it out and if it's only to support another independent game development community, they've earned it twenty times over.

It's a refined Mod though, you'll need 'Dungeon Siege: Legends of Aranna' or just the standard DS with a downloadable patch (I got it off some garage sale for 5$)

Have a look and let me know what you think!

Project's forum
...info, hint requests & technical stuff and in case you encounter any bugs, be nice, help them & post'em here!

Nightly builds
daily up-dated, improved beta builds (tanks) (I strongly recommend installing those!)

Scuse for the whole speech thing ;D, but I wasn't THAT impressed in quite a while!

cheers,

Tramp

Ps: If you are afraid of RPGs - believe me, as an adventure game fanatic, I don't care much about RPGs - but this
game makes up for some hack&slash with intelligent plot lines and great riddle & puzzle solving!
And you don't have to know anything about the series, to enjoy this game!

(*) Some years ago an U5 remake, called Ultima: Lazarus, was released to some acclaim (similar effort, same engine: Dungeon Siege) Huge game world, incredible amount of work went into it - though - somehow it didn't really capture me.

... about a discussion form the 'Recruit A Team'-thread that has since been (justifiably) removed by Mods.

Recruit A Team - Warren's ad

@ Warren
@ MsMn

I'm sorry, it might sound nitpicky :P - but it just bugged me when I read it:

The noun 'undertaking' is a perfectly valid term in this context. In about 90% of all cases it's denotation being: 'enterprise', 'venture' and so forth.

True enough, an 'undertaker' is a person employed at a funeral home.

However, grammatically, there's NO such thing as a correlative verb 'to undertake' denoting “to put someone into the ground”.
'To undertake' means something entirely different.

...looks like MsMn is going to finance the Mittens trip to Italy this year.
With 600 pound sterling you can organize one hell of a parteeè...!?! ;D

PS: ...by the way, I believe Steve was joking when he wrote that comment about the 6 feet under stuff.
