Well, the manual states the old commands under the entry of the new command that obsoletes it. (Don't know if that sentence made sense...)

Depending on your room, you could also use a walk behind that covers the screen.

If a template doesn't work with AGS 3, it might be too old of a template. Try:

1) downloading AGS 2.72
2) loading the template into 2.72
3) immediately saving as a new template
4) loading the new version in AGS 3
5) checking all the code and making sure it'll still work

Photoshopping isn't drawing a completely new image -- It's editing images to create a new image, such as editing one image or combining several images. The contest usually lasts for a fortnight. Also, you don't have to specifically use Photoshop -- Paint Shop Pro, MSPaint, or any other programs can be used. Please make sure your image doesn't exceed the width of the screen.

I'm done with this comp. If you want to start a new one, start a new thread or pm to edit this one.

Not necessarily a bug, but my friend Colt and I were playing GK1 when we were in elementary school. We played through it at roughly the same speed, but I was able to beat the zombies in Africa (swing on the vine and run through to find Wolfgang) and he wasn't.

Maybe he just couldn't do it (no matter how hard he tried), or maybe it was a speed issue (like many Sierra games)

I thought MI4 came out after XP? I was able to get it to run on my XP system... once upon a time.

Does your character's sprite have an alpha channel? That messes up transparency.

Perhaps that has to do with a different OS? I believe that having multiple languages in XP can be a pain (at least for the English version that I once had) but much easier for Vista.

But I don't know what OS you have (I assume Crimson has XP because it is 'My' Documents)

PS-My bro and I had Japanese installed on my old comp, and that was a pain....

I recently played DOTT on my Vista laptop using ScummVM, and it worked just fine.

It means there's no danger of the same String being translated in different ways, since unique Strings only appear once.

This is actually a problem that people are asking to be dealt with in future versions of AGS, since not all languages work with a word-to-word (or string-to-string) translation.

But, glad I could help with a topic I know next to nothing about!

I haven't used speech or translations, so I may be wrong.

But I believe it's because translation works by string replacement. It's possible that every line that Conventionary says is also said by another character.



Or I could be wrong.

Haha, for some reason AGS Yahtzee gave me the most inspiration, so I really have nothing about such a great game. I know it's pretty crappy (the skewed text) but in the end I felt it added a little to the fake trash element of the comp.
