That's such utter bullshit it makes me want to kill a bunch of people!

Disclaimer: To any member of any law enforcement who might be reading this. I am not going to kill, harm or cause any discomfort or inconvenience to any living being because of this. My comment was merely a sarcastic joke made to highlight my sentiments towards this case.

...what you're doing is total b/s though.

Recently I've, oddly enough, had an urge to start smoking. It just seems like the right thing to do when you're sitting out on the balcony, which I now do almost every day when I have time and wanna just relax and enjoy the sun. I don't really know where the urge comes from since I've smoked exactly one cigarette in my whole life (a long time ago) and it wasn't such a pleasant experience...

I probably just need something to divert my attention from my addiction to Tetris...

That would be MrColossal's website but it seems he has taken his tutorials off it.

Here's a link to the website anyway: http://kafkaskoffee.com/

It looks like the domain expired recently though; it went back to the provider, godaddy.com.

It's not really acting like an expired domain, and a whois search claims that it won't expire till July. Maybe the web admin just accidentally screwed up the authorization thingamaboings. They'll probably fix it soon enough and the problem will disappear.

Critics' Lounge / Re: First sprite

Hi, welcome to the forums!

I really like the sprites but I felt you're using WAY too many colors for your own good. A lot of unnecessary shades that will complicate the animating process while not really contributing to the quality of the sprite too much. I also thought they look very pale and the outlines and different shades kinda blend together too much. So I made this (rather quick and sloppy) edit to demonstrate what a little contrast and reducing the colors can do to your sprite:

It immediately stands out more and is easier to look at.

Other than that, good job! Keep drawing. :)

Coming up with names is fun! A few off the top of my head:

Yesternight's News
The Open Eyes (you'd be forever known as TOE!)
The Surrounding Things
Petter Andail & The Lubricated Banjos

I doubt there's any sense in making a whole section for something not a lot of people create. I've only heard of one or two half assed attempts at making machinima with AGS that were put in the games database and those were made a long time ago. I guess you could just put your game in the database and add "MOVIE" to the game title/description.

My friend and I made a couple of stupid short films with AGS back in the day when I had no idea how to use real animation software. Fun times.

I find this utterly interesting and figured anyone around here who hasn't heard of it yet would too. I placed my pre-order today (even though I'm a poor student). You should too!

Good job so far. Looking excellent!

I thought the drums in the first couple of midis sounded a bit too loud but other than that I have no complaints. I liked them!
#112
That was fun!

In the newest one I find it a little distracting that the vocals seem to be leaning towards the rightside speaker. In my experience most songs have the main vocal track panned slightly to the left which feels more natural and balanced.

Other than that it's a very lovely song!

He's so cute I just wanna squeeze him till his head pops off.

Congrats and good luck for the future!

I love them both. Can't say much more than that. They're very enjoyable! I didn't mind the drums or the reverb on the vocals either, it gave them a nice oldschool feel.

You're not a bad singer either, well done! Keep up the good work!

This post is aimed at the other beta testers.

I'm stuck in the part after the scene where Ben shoots Percival Quentin Jones and Alice and I'm clueless as to what to do next. In my inventory I have the notepad, the gun, gasoline, and the socks you find in the forest. I tried to open the door but it tells me I have to hide the bodies before leaving. I tried moving them but I get a message saying "You shouldn't leave fingerprints." Am I supposed to use the socks to cover my hands? That didn't work when I tried it. Is this a bug?

Also, I can't use gas because I can't fuse it. Where do I find a lighter or matches?

I'm with InCreator on this one.

Look, I can't have PhilipDeGay have his views, when James Rolfe isn't getting the amount his worth(4M IS FEW!).

That's not a very valid comparison, seeing as both of them work in very different fields. James reviews nostalgic video games whereas Philip, as far as I know (I've only seen a couple of his videos), talks about what's going on in the world TODAY and it usually involves celebrity news and such. I think a greater number of Youtube users are interested in the latter. James is still getting more than his fair share.

There's like those guys in youtube that no one actually watches and/or likes and they like have 45.000 views the moment they upload their non-sensical video.

So, nobody watches them but they get a crapload of views? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

And the biggest dickhead I've fallen is this guy:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZM0EGBdHOw&feature=related

People even think he's actually playing..Ahahahha..sorry cases.

I take it you don't play guitar... I saw nothing unrealistic in his playing. The fingering/picking/strumming was timed perfectly in relation to the music. Are you perhaps claiming he was just pretending to play a song it appears he's completely capable of actually playing? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Besides, the song he improvised wasn't even that complicated... I believe somebody who owns a 1000+ dollar guitar would have the experience to play something more challenging than this.

To sum up, you're not making any sense.

The only way to judge a video on Youtube or any other media on similar websites is by its viewer ratings and viewcount and the occasional sensible comment you might see if you wait patiently and are really lucky. Most text comments are just used for venting out personal frustration so you can't really trust what people say there. "You're a fag, get a life or go kill yourself" might actually mean "I enjoyed your video" but because of the certain culture has formed on the internet many people seem to consciously or subconsciously believe the correct etiquette is to act like an asshole. Well ok, not really, but you'll get my point if you concentrate hard enough.

I'm not adding you. So if you hear from someone resembling me on MSN be wary.
