Hey, this looks truly wonderful! Can't wait for the release! Keep up the good work! :D

Some usability issues. I didn't really like that I had to do the strike throughs by hand. Instead they could have been made automatically when I fill a row/column. Clicking the numbers in the list to mark them with the other types of markers would be useful but it'd be better if I didn't have to click a number every time I write a line just so I won't forget I wrote it.

Also I hated that when I typed in a number the number cursor (the yellow box) moves automatically. This is very distracting and I'd much rather move it myself using the keyboard. It's annoying having to switch between horizontal and vertical modes.

You might also want to make it possible to move the yellow box "through" the unwritable areas instead of it bumping on them when moved using the arrow keys.

Those being said, I really had fun with numbers! It's a very impressive game. And that panda rocks! :D

Good job! Keep up the good work and I really hope to see more games from you!

That was such an awesome morning :)

CJ seems to have this kind of black border around him which makes it look like c_leksutin photoshopped him in!

Spoiler
CJ's been dead ever since C.Leksutin disappeared.

Spoiler
The CJ we remember from AGS meetings afterwards was obviously Chris' father. It's the only viable explanation for the beard!

I'm not sure what to make of this. I don't really fancy my profile being there especially when there are two posts associated with it that haven't even been posted by me... Apparently your script picked the posts of two people who posted after me and who aren't registered users so it slapped the posts in with my profile. And the one post I have there is really old and for some reason there's a big portion of text missing from it and it's all screwed up. (Not your scripts fault, I blame the forum software.)

I guess it could be useful when developed further. Right now with all the outdated help offers it's more confusing than helpful. Still, technically it's impressive.

The front sprite looked alright to me, however there were some weird things about the other sprites. Mainly I thought it looked odd that the 45-degree sprites' legs were so widely spread, compared to the front sprite. Also, yes, the side sprite looks rather stiff in comparison. I made a quick paintover to hopefully give you some idea on how I think you could make them look more natural. I didn't change much, just some little adjustments:

FPS stayed at around 50-60 with and without shadows. This is really impressive!! A wonderful improvement over your Character3D plugin. Once you manage to make an editor plugin out of this it will take AGS to a whole new level!

Ps. Good choice of music for the demo! :=

General Discussion / Re: Organ Donation

This is indeed very important. I would definitely sign up for this but for some reason I'm having trouble finding information on how this whole thing works in Finland...

If there's like a general EU approved organ donor card dealie that's valid in all EU countries, maybe someone can point me in the right direction?

I used to play adventure games with my best friend when we were kids. We of course couldn't really understand English but that wasn't such a big problem. We would just make up what they were saying and voice them ourselves. :D Ah, good times.

It took me a while but I played through this masterpiece in one sitting. It was so much fun I couldn't take a break from it! I played the first game before this one and the leap in quality is HUGE! The interface and gameplay were top notch and the dialogue & story were excellent and funny. There were some really inventive puzzles there too. Really good job with this one, hoping to see even more games from you in the future!

I just donated $500. I think it's only fair. Thank you Disco, for being you.

This is his 640x480 background resized with nearest neighbour and with the character copy-pasted from the first picture. I don't see how it's wrecked. The only thing that changed is that there is less blurriness on some edges which is good.

A really good read. It was very nice to get some insight on how you produce your art and I'm sure it will be helpful to a lot of people. Well done! :)

I'd like to give you some personal advice, Ben. Since you have a habit of resizing your backgrounds to a lower resolution you might want to considering changing the image interpolation setting to "Nearest neighbour" before you do the resizing. I'm guessing your current setting is the Photoshop default "Bilinear" which gives the resized image very smooth edges. If you switched to "Nearest neighbour" you'd get nicely sharp edges which would look way better with your pixelated characters. The change isn't that big but it's still noticable.

Just in case you don't know where this setting is, this is how to access it in CS4 (I haven't used Elements that much so I don't know if it's the same): Edit -> Preferences -> General.

Wonderful to see this is still being worked on! I loved the demo back when I played it. I also remember it being featured on a popular Finnish website about technology and gaming at one point, which is cool.

Keep it up! :D

I might possibly afford it but I don't know yet. If I can and nothing else gets in the way I'll definitely come. Assuming there is still room.

Wow! This is extremely impressive.

* a pencil mode that doesn't make double pixels!
* a perspective drawing mode
* an outline fill mode that can quickly recolour outlines

These are all something I've been wanting for some of the bigger drawing software to have for a long time. Especially the perspective helper! The pencil is brilliant too.

The fill tool is impressively fast!

I found a bug though: When I select a piece of the image with the rectangular selection tool and move it around, if I click outside the selection area without first pressing ENTER the process goes a bit nuts. And then when I press ENTER later, it copies the original selection into the area where it was moved to. Also I think you should disable UNDO and REDO when the user is in selection mode.

Anyway, please keep up the good work and I will definitely post if I come up with any ideas to add. I could actually see myself using this for some stuff. :)

Oh well, I guess we have to cancel our plans of changing the name to "Late Night with Buckethead & Those Two Other Guys" and find someone else to be the star host.
