The very day I finally get internet access at my home after way over a year of being without it the AGS channel goes in hiding. Brilliant.

Love is like taking a dump without toilet paper. At first it feels good and relieving and then you end up feeling empty inside. Then it starts to really stink and you can either pretend it's ok and stay where you are or you can get up and leave which will end up with making a mess. And the stink won't come off easily.

Looks fantastic! Getting to see those visuals in action oughta be reason enough to try this game. Looking forward to it!

qptain Nemo uses both hands to type out these lies because he's totally not constantly touching himself while reading the forums.

The text in Haggis' signature is quite clever and original for an adventure game forum.

As a very undisciplined guitarist I love the idea! And the site looks great! I'll keep a look out for this and check it out again the next time I pick up my guitar.

I must be dreaming. I have to say, I already gave up hope of ever getting to play this. I'll buy it as soon as possible. The first game is definitely one of the most entertaining AGS games I ever played!

Congrats (and thanks) for finishing it! :D

I love it. I'm in love with it. I will wait for it. I will play it. I will finish it. I will cry when it's over.

I must get a boxed collector's edition of this game with that statue included!

Finally! Bought it and will post my thoughts later when I've played it some. :)

Big congrats on releasing it! Hope it does well.

Looks fantastic! I love the naivistic art style. It's very effective and I'm a sucker for simplified yet stylish graphics. Would love to see some animations too. And I look forward to seeing how well it blends in with what sounds like a rather serious story.

Good luck!

General Discussion / Re: XP Liberation Front.

So many people still use XP? I don't think I could ever go back to that from 7. The changes in the UI make a remarkable difference for usability.

Whenever I have to use XP I still try to drag a maximized window with the cursor and get so pissed off when it just stays still. And a windowed one doesn't maximize when I drag it to the top of the screen. How did Windows users ever live without these features? Makes working with multiple windows so much more intuitive without all that additional clicking.

Also the task bar is so much more comfortable. And and and everything.

Nobody complains about murdering people in games, why should raping be a problem? There are rape scenes in many films. Sure, some people find that very controversial (same thing with murder) but if it's important for the plot, of course you should include it. Just be ready when sensitive people start bombing you with angry e-mails.

I don't think there's a single thing in this thread I do not love. Everything here is so inspiring!

I thought I'd jump in and share some things I've made.

Some art I've made for games that never were:

...and the night time version:

And here's another game project I gave up on:

Here's a cutscene image of a project I really had no specific idea for. Basically made it for fun:

This is a screenshot from an adventure platformer that was mostly a style experiment:

Early mockups of a puzzle platformer I've been designing. I think I'll still make this one some day:

That's all I can think of sharing right now. There's probably a whole bunch of old unfinished stuff hidden somewhere in a pile of hard drives. But getting my hand on those would require a hat, a whip and a degree in archeology.

I think the style can look really appealing using less saturated colors with a bit more contrast. For example:

I like it and would enjoy playing a full game with this simplistic look. :)

Looks very appealing! The art style is very effective. I hope the game will be as adventurous as it sounds! Will definitely try it out once it's released. :)

WHAM, your art has improved a lot since your first games! This is looking really good and very moody. :)
