AGS Games in Production / Re: I See You

I have to disagree with Hammerite too. Please, do not change the style of those graphics. They probably won't get very good ratings from anyone, but at least they're made by you! And they do look quite cute. :)

I would suggest you not to use the MS paint default palette for your colors though. The RPG colors just hurt my eyes. If you'd just modify the colors to be a bit softer, then the graphics would be nice.

I'm sorry, I know this isn't the Critics Lounge, but I'm sure nobody minds if I do this little paintover, just to show you what I mean with the color usage: http://img80.imageshack.us/img80/7398/scrnshot3paintover2hs.png

I somewhat like the story/idea of this one and it seems like it's going to be quite a long game too. All in all your game sounds very nice! Good luck with it!

When are you thinking of releasing this by the way?

I thought getting to decide the next months quidelines is an award enough... I don't think there are any other awards, or trophies as you say, in any other competitions either.

Some short answers...

Favourite FF game
Final Fantasy 7. This was the first ever RPG I've played and its story is the best I've seen in any other game. Just my opinion of course.

Favourite character
Sephiroth. You know, that guy who had spent a lot of time in my avatar. Not anymore though, I wonder what he's up to nowadays.

Favourite location
Hard to choose but I'd say it's either Cosmo Canyon or the slums in Midgar. Both have an amazing atmosphere.

Most memorable event
Please, do NOT read this if you haven't played the game, since it contains a HUGE SPOILER

Spoiler
The scene where Aeris dies. I almost cried. Almost... *sniff*

I could of course keep talking about Final Fantasy 7 the whole day but I don't have much time today ._.

kthxbye

:P

Yeah, and your father is a hamster and your mother smells of elderberries.

That is quite rude. I certainly don't smell like elderberries. >:(

Yeh, this was fun. Obvious, but fun. :P I also kind of disliked that some people spilled the beans too early, though. But still it was a funny joke. :) Now please, CJ, bring back the old forum look. These colors hurt my eyes. :D
#787
Yeah, if you seriously don't want any big spoilers of BJ5, don't download this. I did and I hope I didn't... IluvBJs, this "joke" was not funny at all. :(

I don't feel any need to explain my own opinions to you people! I just think this idea is stupid! Now leave me alone you bunch of fools! Go make games with your new WinterAGS or something! >:(

Quote from: Privateer Puddin' on Sat 01/04/2006 01:20:59we'll forget that the two communities were once apart in a couple of weeks.

Sorry, Puddin', but I completely disagree with you! That kind of thinking is just stupid! What's wrong with you people? Merging these two engines just is NOT a good idea!

You just made me quit using AGS. For a couple of reasons:

1. The new forum look sucks. I don't want to spend time on a forum that looks SO bad!
2. I think merging Wintermute and AGS is the stupidest idea of the year! >:(

You should really think before you do something as stupid as this. With all respect, Chris Jones, this is really ridiculous. I feel bad about this. I really like this community and AGS but this is too much... :(

I had to do a little search but I found out that you had uploaded it at AGS uploads, so I found the link.

http://www.americangirlscouts.org/agsuploads/kOSTAS/Water%20Quest.zip

You also should put this same link into the game database download link. At the moment the download link just leads to the Adventure Game Studio website. Please change this.

Congratulations on finishing your game!

And I'm thinking here: Why do you even bother inform us about these projects you're never going to do anyway? You posted about another project of yours in the Recruit A Team thread just two minutes before this. Just focus on ONE (1) project at the time, don't even try to work on many games at the same time. That will not work.

DutchMarco: You can get it by copying and pasteing the download link into your browser:

I found it quite amusing, but could you still make something that makes more sense next time, please. ;)

You gave my game a bit too nice review, in my opinion. Because I personally don't consider it as a very good game. But thanks for the kind words anyway.

And yes, Buna Wants Christmas was supposed to be released last christmas but I got lazy. You can expect it next christmas though. I swear...

I'd actually also like it much more if it wasn't animated. It would look kinda irritating on a website in my opinion. Looks quite nice though. :)
#797
Yes there is.

Code: ags
game.anim_background_speed

Which is used for example like this:

Code: ags
game.anim_background_speed = 5;

The Earth will just explode due the pressure of everyone jumping at the same time. It has nothing to do with stopping the global warming.
