The Space Quest 3 vibe is indisputable. SQ3 is one of my very favourite adventure games so the visual style of this game appeals to me a lot! And that alone is reason enough for me to have high expectations of this game! ;) Good luck with it! I hope we'll see it released soon!

I've always preferred a well written IF to any graphic adventure game. They have a whole different level of immersion. This looks excellent and judging by those screen shots the writing is very good. I'm definitely looking forward to playing this. :)

Completed Game Announcements / Re: I Forgot...

This was a nicely atmospheric game with some good writing. The puzzles were okay and none of them got on my nerves. The music was lovely and the graphics were effective, if lacking in contrast.

It had a sort of nostalgic feel to it and reminded me of a lot of older AGS games which was really nice. :) Aside from some technical gameplay issues (some of which have already been mentioned) it's a decent game!

Very promising! I love the idea! I wish you best of luck with carrying it out!

Can't wait to try it. :)

I didn't know anything when I got here and I learned drawing/visual design, programming, writing and composing from AGSers. Afterwards I've just studied and practiced those skills separately in my free time. I learned some programming from studying computer science but I still got more out of just reading up on it and practicing out of school.

This looks so good. I thoroughly enjoyed the first part! Can't wait to get my hands on this baby.

Also, I sent you a PM regarding music. :)

I loathe you monkey. Even if you didn't technically cheat, in my eyes you're still just a filthy cheater. I don't even have 2000 words yet and I'm struggling... :(

I started writing my entry but it's progressing crazy slow so I doubt I'll actually get the 50 000 required words done. But I'm sure it will be fun to try. :D

Anim8or is quite old and I think it's no longer in production but I found it an excellent way to learn modelling. The user interface is more awkward than the more mainstream ones, like Blender or Max, but it's a lot simpler so it's great for a beginner.

That sounded pretty rad. Very hypnotic in a way. I don't listen to this kind of music so I can't give any especially constructive comments. All I can say is I liked it. Keep it up!

QuoteI'm not a troll, I'm sick of people calling me that were both (='s) in different way's

To what does "We're both (='s) in different ways" refer?

Judging by the brackets I'd say that's an eastern smiley. And '=S' is a confused smile I believe... is this a crying confused smile to show mixed emotions? Maybe saying that everyone who calls you a troll is confused or upset for no apparent reason to you? Your grammar confuses me (='s)

I simply read it as it was (almost) written: "We're both equals in different ways". Which (almost) makes some sense.

I can't believe I just posted in this thread. Oh well. HEY EVERYONE! o/

I think a death at the start and a death at the end was enough and they wern't sneekily squeezed in...the player was given enough cues that...."yes the wires are really nasty" and "yes....if you touch that gas you WILL die" so I'd like to think I avoided the pain of dying somewhat (but I'll let you guys be the judge of that!).

I played this game for a little while and then died at the beginning. And because dying seemed so easy I didn't feel like playing further. I am a big Sierra fan but I wasn't in the mood for random dying at the moment. I'll probably give it another go later since I was apparently wrong in assuming it's one of those death-filled games.

But if I may, I'd like to suggest that if you want to use the player's death for its comedy value in your games and especially if it only occurs in a couple of specific places, please don't make the player restart the game or load a save game. Instead do what Leisure Suit Larry 6 did and let the player continue from the point before the dying happened. Otherwise the player might become annoyed and in the worst case scenario continue the paranoid save-early-save-often routine throughout the whole game, therefore not being able to fully enjoy the game itself.

In fact, this suggestion goes to all adventure game developers who want to include dying as a possibility in their games. Dying was never a good design point in adventure games. Sierra developers made a mistake! Don't make the same one.

Sorry for rambling, I'm sure your game is enjoyable once I feel like giving it another go. :) I always love a good sci-fi adventure and this one sure looks fantastic!
