I have played the first Kyrandia a bit. It has probably the most beautiful graphics I've ever seen in an adventure game of that time! Especially animations were great. But I never finished it cause I really didn't know what to do... maybe I should start over again.

General Discussion / Re: Dumb Quest!!!!!

I'm sure I won't even consider buying those crappy games like Runaway 2 once I've played this one. Gonna rock man! Dumb Quest! Never heard anything as promising as this! Yeah!

I support this project with 100% of my heart.

I hoped I'd never have to fall this down but I second DG.

The same as Geoffkhan... time. Time to work on my game mostly. And I hope christmas will bring a load of inspiration with it. Also I'm looking forward on getting me a scanner as a christmas present. My background art is so gonna improve when I get to fully draw them by hand... I hope :P But yeah, mostly time for AGS and for some relaxing.

And all this will begin next tuesday when my holiday starts!

Heh, great wallpaper. That went straight onto my desktop!

Hey, I was going to buy that book one day. Didn't buy though, all my money went for my school books.

I had no idea that AGS was mentioned in it too. That's pretty darn cool. :)

Oh my god Ken. Oh... my... god... Did you really have to post that one? :D

Well, if we're going to post funny clothing then:

Nice one Zoot. There's just one thing I'd like to point out. In Yahtzee's backgrounds the vanishing point is higher. So that the ceiling can't be seen from the inside at all.

Has to be CaptainPancake. Great one! ;D

I'm working on something. Please could you wait till I'll post my entry before you announce the winner? :) I'll put the image in this post.

EDIT: Well, got it done already. Thanks for waiting!

Hmm... That Anvil Studio looks very interesting. Gonna have to check it out later today. I've been using Guitar Pro for sometime now. I haven't made any music for any games yet though...

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Hour Games

Wretched, you see hour games usually aren't designed beforehand like that. They're usually being started quite spontaneously on AGS irc channel when we feel like it. :)

Or well, I don't know how the others have arranged them, but that's what we did. :P

Are you sure that isn't a background from CMI? It could be! ;D

Really, that sure looks great! Good job you have done there. :)

Well, short games usually take less than 30 mintes to play through. And medium length games should take something like 30 minutes or 1 hour to play. And the long games... well they should be about in the same lengths as the classic Sierra or Lucas adventures.

It always leaves the current music playing in the next room, if there is no other music defined.
#917
Use "StopMusic();" in "Player enters screen" in the rooms interactions.

Completed Game Announcements / Re: Hour Games

We had a small hour game compo at IRC. The rules were the following, set by Hajo:

Theme: Awkward silences.
Restrictions: At least two characters, 3 dialog options and a locked door.

Here's my entry: http://koti.mbnet.fi/mwe/game_zip/Balls.zip
Here's pmdee's entry: http://koti.mbnet.fi/mwe/ags/pmdee_hourgame.zip

Enjoy...

Ouch... okay I admit I was wrong. But this was totally a surprise! I would have never guessed this kind of thing would have worked. But it did. So congratulations on your victory.

It's unbelievable to me how some people can work so quickly on their games.

Fast? I haven't worked much at all the last months! But when I get the time I try to be effective with it.

Heh, fast when you compare to me! :D
