My interview was pretty short and not probably very interesting, because neither of us had really prepared for it in any way... Oh, and I think Grundi had just woke up... :P

Please read the FORUM RULES!!!
You must put some screenshots in this forum.
How should we know that you 're really working on an adventure game?

He has stated a reason why he didn't include the screenshots. Now that Barbarian linked the IrfanView program to him, he will surely edit his post and include the screenshots. Also one rule states: "Do not pretend to be a moderator"

Revan: This game really sounds very interesting, and I'd like to see more. Waiting for you to post some screenies. :)

That was so sick and bizarre... I loved it.

Okay, now guys, most of you are really voting for the wrong reasons. Yes, Zor's game was lots of fun and it had some very nice graphics, but if I tried to make a game using his codes, I would probably fail. It's a coding contest afterall. And Zor's coding is really messy (sorry Zorry, but that's how it is :)).

QuoteNice graphics.
Quotefor no reason other than it was fun
Quotehis code wasn't that neat, but the game was the most fun

These aren't very good reasons to vote in a coding contest IMO.

Anyways, I had a hard time choosing between SSH and Babar. Both of yours scripts were very user friendly and easy to understand, especially SSH's because he used a module. But I decided to go for Babar's entry. Now there's a script I could use in a minigame for some adventure. The gameplay was good and the idea was nice too. And let's not forget the simple coding. So Babar it is.

PS. Stefano, your graphics really bring this baby alive!

It works just fine with my computer and I have Windows XP. What is the exact problem that you are having with playing it?

There is a good scripting tutorial for using variables in the AGS manual.

Scripting -> Scripting tutorial part 1 -> Scripting tutorial part 2

You should check that out first before starting anything more complicated. Good luck!

Selling illegal copies... Now that's fair, isn't it! Have you e-maled LucasFan about this Scummy? Just in case he doesn't see this thread.
#968
The graphics look very awesome, and all in all I like the idea. Good luck with this!
#969
Do you have a website? Any screenshots from the game? A demo? Some music perhaps? ANYTHING you could share with us? Cause I tell you, nobody will most probably join your team if they don't know anything about the game.

Anyways, good luck with finding your actors!

Hehe, neat t-shirt. You could have posted that to The Long Overdue -picture thread though instead of starting a whole new thread for it.

Wow, I found a hidden smiley! :=

I think Elliott WAS acting like a moderator. He does that quite often. AND imspeshul wasn't actually talking warez since he didn't paste a link to any warez site or anything like that. He simply stated he downloaded it illegally 3 months ago.

Okay, now I had more time. Good improvements you had done.

And I did some more. :=

  • Redid all the shading
  • Changed all color tones
  • Modified the hair
  • Lenghtened the arms even more
  • Modified the shoes
  • Some other small changes

Well, that's about it. I hope you'll find it useful. :)

Txarly: I won't make a silly joke about the text in your picture, though you should delete it. Your renderings are very good and I hope the people here with their jokes didn't make you want not to send any more of them here. I'd really want to see more of your work.

Mordalles: I second the couple of previous posts...

That is... so not true. So not true...

Think you are the only one tho :P

Certainly not! ;D

It's a very nice sprite, I like him. I would make a paintover for the shading, since it seems to be a bit wrong, but I don't really have time now.

His arms seem to be a little too short, and his legs are too apart from each other. Also his head looks quite big, though that might be your style :) Oh, and he doesn't seem to have ears.

Apart from these little things, it's a very good sprite!

99 pounds is like, 200 us dollars, right?Ã,  who the heck will buy that?

A collector? ;)

no, mi2 is worth more than £100 to me ;)

Would YOU buy it for £100? I wouldn't :D
#978
You could try to put:
Code: ags
Wait(1);

in between the AddInventory and Display codes.

Or if you are not using script codes, just use the "Pause command processor" option between them and give it the value 1.

I hope that was clear enough.

Except it's 60 pixels tall, when the limit is 50.

Sorry, this is little offtopic, but I think the size limit should be changed to 60 pixels, since that's the size most people seem to prefer in their sig pics. Just my opinion.

I took the freedom of mirroring this demo, so that it's easier to download.

Here

Very nice job on that interface! :)
