I'm not sure why you'd want to make JRPGs using AGS. RPG Maker works well enough. Unless you really don't want sprites. And if you're wanting 3d game, Unity or such would be much easier.
You'd probably have better results trying to convince people to make plugins in for RPG Maker MV. Since it uses Javascript it's capable of all of the things you're wanting if you're willing to put in the time.
I think AGS is better suited for making hybrid games or some other type of RPG.
Of course something like Harvest Moon (only played the SNES and GBA versions) could easily be done in AGS without need of a module or plugin.
And the "Feng Shui" could be done using one of the modules that already exists. Or just some minor scripting depending on what you want done.
Of course I'm a little confused by your post anyway, much of it just sounds like naming random ideas to me. If you're not wanting to make a game yourself, then why do you want people here to make plugins for making JRPGs? And what is open source Game Motors? And if you want the JRPG genre to evolve, wouldn't it be better to address a community that actually makes JRPGs? If you were wanting Adventure Games to evolve by including some JRPG elements, it would make more sense.

Danvzare - I don't know why either. Maybe the challenge. I started making one a few months ago, but I was doing a dungeon crawler, not a JRPG.

While my idea may have started with Mighty Max, the setting is going to be based on Lemax Halloween miniatures.
Now excuse me as I go make bugs in my recolored Easy Bake Oven.

The theme has was released yesterday. It's Miniature.
Also, it would be helpful if you provided some examples of your work so people can know if your style would mesh well.

There are several other places to get public domain game assets. If not for the Open Pixel Project, I wouldn't have gotten anything close to playable for last month's game.
I haven't forgotten The AGS Trove myself. I was using to use assets from The Visitor portion in the game I failed to finish for the 102 Adventure Jam thing last month. I've also meant to contribute to it several times.
So, yeah. I'm all for using premade assets in a MAGS game. But I'm also in favor of doing something different with it somehow. Of course I wouldn't complain if someone made a game using assets purely from RoN or Maniac Mansion Mania either...

Hmm. I see a Mighty Max set. Mighty Max, Monster in My Pocket, and other toys from my childhood could definitely be a good starting place.

Sweet Mythery

I'm sure there are bugs.
And not all is implemented.

That's definitely more than I have. Currently I'm not even sure who has dialog and who doesn't. I definitely won't have time to test it. But I will submit something by the deadline, even if it winds up being a buggy mess...

And looks like item creation is going to be phased out for this version.
#948
I am working. And it is hurting.
And there's absolutely no way I'm going to be able to implement everything. I found that I have 33 items. I'll probably have to cut music out at the least. And most likely that won't be the only thing cut...

Kill Bill?

I have no idea how I'd accomplish that at the moment. Especially with the dialog trees I already have.
I believe I have it more or less figured out, at least well enough for the mags version. I just have to decide which character to use for giving the quest.

Oh, I have all plans of having a version completed tomorrow. Even if it ends up just people talking about the siren(s) and mermaid(s)...
#952
Don't count on me too much. I still haven't figured out how to properly implement the mermaid(s). All I can promise is 11 people in the inn to talk to and at least one horrible pun.
#953
I'm still working on mine. I'm working on dialog trees this morning, backgrounds this afternoon, and some programming this evening/tonight.
Tomorrow will be inventory items, music, and finishing up whatever else needs done.

How about a collective project?  Like Draculator II: Byte of the Draculator...

Of course, there would have to be a project lead, someone who has the time and patience to put all of the pieces together.  If I had the time, I'd volunteer, but I do not.  I'd gladly participate, though.  I think many would.

So how about it?
I like this idea. Shame it's a bit late for a Halloween game.
And there doesn't necessarily need to be a single project leader if the files were shared properly. It would still require cooperation and coordination, of course.

A paralytic is possible. Or a combination of poisons. Or something that the patient is allergic to...

Dr. Gerald Killmurray
//Blinks a moment and shows a moment of lucidity.
Poison... I know of no poison that would kill so quickly on its own. Which means that this is something I don't know of, it reacted with something else, or it wasn't all at once. Of course there's no way to be 100% sure without a proper autopsy...
// The word autopsy seems to break the lucidity.

Well, that's rather unfortunate.

I agree that the theme doesn't suck. I'm sure various things have kept people from doing a game this month. I know that trying and failing to make a game for the itch jam hurt progress on my game.
#959
I just spotted an error in your description. You used decease instead of disease. Of course if the disease is bad enough it would make the person deceased...
I also find it kind of funny that you put the genre as a historical game.
Is this the game that's been giving you video issues?

Not much news on my game. I started work on it again Sunday once I gave up on trying to finish the game for the itch jam. I have a walkcycle for the main character and I have a harpy about 2/3 finished. And I'm going to start the intro today.

Would there be any right places for the video to be messed up in?
Maybe you could upload the mp4 and have someone else convert it and test it?
I have a feeling that there's some codec or something since you got your new computer that ags doesn't like.
