Draculator II: Byte of the Draculator

Public Opinion
About this game
Corporal Merrick was on leave one evening and tried to hook up with some cute vampire twins. In an attempt to impress them, he allowed himself to be made into a vampire. Unfortunately his army found out and enrolled him in a secret experimental bionic implant program. Now half vampire, half robot, and more than half confused, Merrick must escape the base where he is being held or spend the rest of his life being drip-fed poodle blood to keep him obedient! Can you help Merrick escape?NOW WITH SPANISH TRANSLATION!

AGS Panel Review
"Short, but very funny, well-designed and well-paced game developed through an experimental AGS community project model in which the more contributors the merrier. The end result is packed with catchy tunes, sexy vampire powers, and some particularly great comedic voice-acting from the male lead."

As a development experiment, it's quite interesting and I'm sure it was a lot of fun to participate in it. Unfortunately the game feels more like disconnected one-room games than a coherent experience. The graphics are pretty good, especially considering the low resolution and color count. While on the first impression each room seems to provide a rich environment, in practice they are rather empty and most of the objects yield short descriptions. There are a few nice puns in the item descriptions, but that's it for humor.
The voice acting adds a nice touch, but some of the voices don't match the characters well. Sadly the music didn't play on my system, because it's reportedly good.
