Ghormak's second entry heated my brain up to a point where any normal-sized brain would have complashed in a squishy, gooey mess. Good job, old chum.

By the way, you suck.

Do you need like lots of RAM to run those suckers? I mean I only have 512mb and Ableton is having trouble running some of this stuff. Is the Battery thing good? Maybe I should look into that, I really need something that I can use to track complete tracks instead of building each sample.

I'm downloading BFD Deluxe Edition (or at least I think I am.. I can't figure out if it's actually five DVDs and I'm just downloading one, anyway) at the moment, but I really don't what to except. I have the jamstix demo and it works surprisingly well, I must say.

There's just so many possibilities it's hard to figure out. If I could get the DFHS with some kind of nice GUI, I would be in heaven.

Helm, you need Drumkit From Hell. Even the 700-something mb thing would be a step up from that and with that you still get both room mics and close mics for all drums to blend as you like. Other than that, this stuff is really cool, keep it up. The end part was utterly awesome.

It's great inspiration as well, it got me really pumped to want to record some of my own stuff and finish stuff I have partly recorded, but my main bass isn't recording-ready right now (I'm doing some modding and I'm still debating whether or not to put the old pups in or get some new ones), so it'll take a while. I'm rambling. It was awesome, though.

Oh, and what did you use to track the drums?

Though I haven't read that much King, I think I prefer Clive Barker to him.

Tons of people do it. If you need the promotion, then it really can't hurt. It's not like people are gonna think "How unprofessional, he has a website in his name".

I can back all of those up, favorites being Mars Volta, Mr. Bungle and GYBE!

If GYBE! tickles your fancy, look into Mogwai and Sigur Rós.

Also I should recommend Katatonia too, if you can handle the vocals. I just find it so boring, but I can't place a finger on the music. In fact, their instrumental tracks are incontrollably awesome.

Which reminds me. Opeth. Check it out. There are growl tracks, but if that's not your thing, they have some outstanding clean vocal tracks.

Pantera.

What? It's the only band you need if you're into hard rock/metal.

Also Kyuss.

Wee! I love MUDs, I'll check in later, when I get the time.

And of course, not just the arms but also his shoulders need to move as he walks. Basically, in a walk-cycle, leave as few things static as you can. It's more work, but it'll look better and after all, you're gonna be using it throughout your game.

Man, it's just not right to check out for that long!

Yikes, I would have really freaked the hell out.

Luckily, we don't have any sort of spiders like that around here.

I once had a huge one in my bathtub, though. That severely traumatized me and I couldn't go out there for so long, even though I sprayed the whole room thick with delicious poison.

That'll teach them spiders to exist.

So, uhm, I'm back. Don't know if anybody remembers me, but still..

Anyhow, what's up with #AGS, it's still on Q-net, right? I can't join because it's apparantly "Invite only"

I'm gonna go scan the forums now, yay me!

Ick! I forgot Opeth, Katatonia, The Mars Volta, Finntroll and Nightwish.

I've tried any, except the trial for Planetside and that was pretty rad.

I once had an MP3. I liked it. Still, I don't see the point of the direction this thread has taken.

I wonder if I'm an oldbie or a newbie. Well, I don't frequent the boards much, so I'm probably sorta newbie-ish.
#19
Hmm. That's a tough one.

Perhaps The Mars Volta - Cicatriz ESP.

Bah. I don't know. There's too many to choose from.
