Actually, I have a question.

I'd like to do a semi-RPG combat style similar to that of Quest for Glory 1 (the VGA version).

With some personal tweaks, of course, which I'll figure out later.

Before I go charging into this and end up with a broken battle system and a mess of code, what should I do and what should I avoid?  I understand that it's gonna require some animate commands and checking for variables and stuff...

Actually, I ended up doing something similar, except in Photoshop.

I tried to make a stickman animation, but discovered something-- Stickmen are harder for me to animate O_o

So, I made a little... I guess "marshmallow man" named Blank.  He has a VERY simplified walking animation and talking animation, but it's at least not-painful-on-the-eyes.

I do plan on making an actual game out of this, by the way, and submitting it.  I just need to work out some kinks and stuff... like, all there is is a single room that he can walk around now, and some fun stuff he can say when you click the various icons on him.

Anyways, thank you for your information and tips!  They are helpful :-)

I need help with this.

I downloaded the Insta-game from the Resources... but the majority of the sprites are in PCX, and AGS 3.0 doesn't seem to recognize it as a legitimate importing file (or at least from what I'm trying to do). (EDIT: It is specifically 3.0.2.44)

I mostly want to use the Insta-game sprites to get myself started on learning the AGS editor, before I go about making my own sprites and stuff.  So, any advice or alternative resources?

Thanks in advance.
