You guys just got an article on pc gamer. http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/12/29/heroines-quest-a-free-quest-for-glory-inspired-adventurerpg/
Hope your company can get some crowd funding for your next title if you want to go that way, should get your game on steam.

Does starting the game in tutorial mode make your map have hotspots for the main quests or does everyone have those?
#3
Thank you for the release and congratulations!!!!

Awesome ill donate to your site again

And done, wish would let you donate more than $6 but I've done it twice. Thanks for all the work!!!

Ah ok, I just saw on your indiedb page that it said coming December 30th so got hopeful. Anyways take your time as it will ultimately lead to a better product.

So I see a release date of December 30th! Is that true? I also have a question, will this be like AToTK with multiple endings or is that too much of a spoiler to say before release?

Thank you for your enthousiasm! Yes, it's going well, and no, we're still not going to specify an exact date, sorry! We do plan on having a little pre-release contest for fans though, we'll keep you posted!

Awesome glad it's going well. Look forward to the contest if it doesn't involve drawing lol. Have great pictures in my head but has never translated to paper.

Any updates? How is the beta test going. I'm crawling the walls waiting for this to release  I know I know it's done when its done but AToTK completely captured that retro Sierra quests series for me so been looking forward to this adventure more than any other adventure game the last few years. Plan to donate to your site as well upon release. I know it's free but I feel I paid for crap games plenty of times so I doesn't bother me at all to make a donation :cheesy:

Edit* actually talk is cheap, just donated lol. But I couldn't change the amount from $6???? I'm on ipad so maybe that's why. Wanted to donate $15 so ill just donate again when released.

Man for some reason Erpy i couldnt log in to your site. I'm almost positive I'm a member at AGDinteractive but it wouldnt work. Plus i couldn't register that damn random text i tried seriously like 40 times and it kept saying i had an error.

Anyways on topic can't wait for this. The closest surprise remake before this was when i came to this site for the first time in July a few years back and A Tale of Two Kingdoms had been released a day before. It's def cool that since you had other announced games for everyone to worry about you were able to keep KQ3 redux a secret. The only bummer in my mind is that leaves KQ4 as the only one without a point and click VGA version. I know magic mirror is working on one but who knows if that one will make it to the end. I almost wish you had done KQ4 since IA already did KQ3 but i completely understand that you had a KQ3 remake already started just not known by the mass public. All your games have been great so looking forward to this surprise release. Def looking forward to the Himlaya QFG type game coming out as well in the future.

I too feel it was too short and wished they released episode 2 along with it or shortly after. However, they didnt and I'm just glad the thing is being released. I think everyone should try it, or at least wait until episode 2 is released and try both of them together. Way too soon to write this off.

Wow i thought that's what made the game great. It made you "adventure" by wandering around and trying to figure out what to do. Also gave it great replayability. To each their own. Hoping they are working on a new game similiar in depth to ATOTKs.

First im sorry if this is in the wrong place. I couldnt decide if it should go here or the forum below this.

Anyways, i have the Quest for Glory anthology and Quest for Glory 5. QFG is in my top 3 series of all time, but strangely i have never beat or really even played QFG5. When i got it i had a 486 and couldnt really run the game, so it got put away and i pretty much forgot all about it. Well i was cleaning my closet the other day and found my anthology and QFG5. After playing A tale of two kingdoms my adv game itch was back and was happy to find it. I played back thru QFG1-4 so i could import a paladin and play thru 5 the right way.

Anyways the point of this thread is this. After running around QFG5 for about an hour trying to get the lay of the land, people that have played this game what are your thoughts and reviews. Please if you do reply, keep it spoiler free as since fresh adv game experiences at this stage of the gaming age are extremely extremely rare and since QFG5 is one of my fav. series of all time i want to savor this game and beat it without any spoilers at all no matter how long it might take. This game seems to be different than 1-4, but similar enough to feel like im revisiting an old friend that just looks different. Will i enjoy this chapter of the game as much as i enjoyed 1-4? Thanks for the future replies (if there are any) and im really sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum. Obviously mods moderate as needed if needed :).

have you got a full cast yet? are you still looking for voice actors?
Right now we have halted the production of voice acting all together. We feel that we were getting ahead of ourselves when we started asking. Auditions will definitely open again, in due time.

I just wanted to say congratulations on your work on this project so far and thank you a ton for volunteering however much free time all of you are dedicating to this project. I for one love all these remakes and dont mind the waiting because if you follow suit with other remakes, and I'm sure you will, the wait is always so worth the final product.
I really hope that all these fan remakes reach the ears of VU or any of the game developers to show that the old school adventure game genre is still alive. I really wouldnt even mind they started production a few more adv games that kept the same feel as the ones from the 80s and 90s. How cares about graphics when you can have hand painted backgrounds. Thanks again in advance for your time and efforts as I'm sure your project will be as kick ass as the ones before you.

I do however have a question for you. Will the 1:1 remake launch at the same time as your enhanced twist on the game? I cannot wait to you play your 1.5 version if its anything along the lines of AGD Interactive's Kings Quest 2 1.5 remake.

AAAAAAAAAAAAA

I played thru this game 3 times. The first time the pigeon worked. Second time i had the same problem you did and unfortunately i found no solution and had to start over. Third play thru the pigeon worked. The only thing really different i did on plays 1 and 3 was i used the bucket of water to get out of the castle. The 2nd run i used the vase. Not sure if that triggers the bug, but like i said i had to play over.

Well, Finished my second run thru with 95 wisdom, 95 honor, 19/20 cutscenes, and 5/5 side quests. So close to perfect. I wonder what I'm missing, although i have a feeling. I have a pretty good idea on the cutscene, and where i could earn more points. Anyone that has finished, please read this spoiler to speculate on possible points and cutscene i missed.

Spoiler
At the start, the bard said he might go see the druid, i kept checking there during each chapter and left and entered his area over and over but the bard never showed. Anyone see a cutscene with them? And points... I'm sure there is more than one way to beat the sorcerer. Im guessing you have to beat it without Geriard being turned into a bird. Anyone found any other ways to beat the end. Also the evidence for the assassin i heard there was a crumpled note and pieces of hair. I did not find those which im sure cost me a few points.

Dang it i wonder why im having the pigeon problem. No one else seems to be having this problem. I wonder if its something i did questwise that triggered it. Like i said i thought maybe it was a bug or they changed the puzzle with it cause on my second run thru, items are in different places. The raven is in a new spot, and the single coin you find is in a new spot. I guess i can start over again and see if i run into the same problem.

On the 1.1 version of the game, i think the pigeon might be bugged unless the puzzle has changed.

Spoiler
On my first run thru the pigeon was directly north or my camp and i was just able to walk up and pick up him/her up. Now on my second run thru the pigeon is where the waterfall is and you use the ice orb, but all it does is ruffle its feathers when i try to pick it up and ive used the kindness to animals wish at the well. i have no way to get it. Whats going on here.

Thanks Fizzii. So does that mean i dont have to get the exe file? Just start playing from the save file, and move it into my ATOTK folder?
