When I started to try AGS I was kind of put off by the interaction editor. I want to see the code and not some click stuff (I have to admit that I'm software developer).

When I heard there was a new version coming soon, I stopped trying the old one and directly started with AGS 3.0.

I admit that coding might be a problem for people not used to it. A code generator might be a solution but probably hard to implement correctly.

That was great! Looking forward to the ceremony.

I'm a bit sad, that cat didn't do her entry (her scetches promised a fantastic bg)! But to be honest, there are  wonderful other ideas shown here.

I think you have mixed up something, I never made any sketches for this BGBlitz - maybe you meant Misj'?

The head can bounce up and down a bit in the front walkcycle, but it should definitely not bounce left and right.

Ilyich, this is beautiful! My only complain is, if I was living there, I'd definitely turn the sofa around to look out of the window.

DOTT: using the paint on the fence to get a skunk-cat is a puzzle; being able to switch characters and send items through time is a gameplay feature (that, of course, allows for more sophisticated puzzles)

Transpacific: the Mindinterface is a special gameplay feature. The puzzles itself where mainly escape the room, not too innovative.

Loom: completely new gameplay

For me, the gameplay award is for gameplay mechanics and not puzzles. A game can have good puzzles without any special gameplay. But good, innovative gameplay can lead to good puzzles.

One thing you have to consider are the objects: Making an open door, objects that are used in the game... If you can make them in a way that they fit the style of the painted, unmodified background you should try that.

For those who are afraid of irc and mirc: the instant messager Pidgin for example has irc support. Just check you IM client, you might already have an irc tool installed!

There are two different things: resolution and color depth. Resolution is the size of your picture (e.g. 800x600 pixel), color depth (8bit, 16bit, 32bit) is how many different colors are used to display the picture.

Ouxx is right, please show us the scan without color reduction and with a slightly higher resolution (800x600 or 1024x768)

I'm a definite and my boyfriend a maybe.

I'll most likely fly to Dublin and taking the train for the journey down sounds good to me. I'd be interested in staying in Dublin Friday-Sunday after Mittens, could be fun if more people want to do that.

Renting cars would be neat for day trips, but I'm not sure if it is worth it. If we want to go to Wexford or other places, it might be even cheaper to go by taxi than renting a car for the whole week. I'll try to find out if there are busses that might get us to some interesting places, too. Disco, can you give me the link to the railway company?

Edit: We could even consider renting a car just for one day if we want to go somewhere special.

You should try different options for size reduction (dithering etc.). You might get even better results.

I just played the first 3 levels and have to say: Great game!

I found a bug in level 3 however:

After I lost the game, the military guy complained about me losing his money but the message did not go away. I couldn't click or quit, just with ctrl+q
Also, I couldn't buy more units in this level - is this intended?

Would someone suspect me for stealing a grilled sausage in some country because I come from Germany where grilled sausages are a rather popular fastfood? I hope not 

Well, in the sausage case it is very unlikely that it ran away or got run down by a car.

Other than that, I hope the cat will return safely!
