Maybe CJ will leave 2.72 on the download page even after he makes 3.0 final.  That way folks who are new will still be able to use the interaction editor until they get their feet wet.
If you're paying attention, the IE tells you how to script each interaction.  And if nothing else, you can look at the script when you've finished all your interactions to see how AGS compiles them.

Didn't mean to slam you ST.
Just thought the red x on that topic was funny...

You never said we could enlarge the canvas, but you never said we couldn't...

Very good!

One bug I found:
Spoiler
If you use the Memo on the steward after Grace has knocked him out, he stands up again says not to do that.

I am also getting ghost images of the previous room.  It may be related to the garbage matte problem that I spoke of earlier.

I am running 800x600 32bit w/ alpha'd sprites.

EDIT: I stole LimpingFish's dark background to test for my garbage matte problem.  Here is that pic.

You can also see that the cursor has left a reverse shadow of its garbage matte along with my player character.

Radiant is a machine!

Two MAGS entries in the same month!

OneDollar:  You renamed your exe after you compiled it.  I had to rename it back to MAGS0907.exe in order to run winsetup.

Checking one's ability to proof-read is easy.

Read their post!

if it Look like this un   - then pass.

That is, of course, if you can tell the difference yourself.

If you already talked to Armstrong, talk to the hacker in the bar about him. (Sorry I forgot his name already, and I just solved this puzzle an hour ago.)
PS you may need to have actually clicked on one of the keycard readers to open up that dialogue.

I am running 2.8b9 and just tried the 'Check for updates' function in the editor, knowing that there was an update to b10.  The editer *seemed* to do a check and found no new beta updates.

Has this actually been implemented?

BTW I already have the d3d file in the directory.

They are alpha channel sprites.  My artist is making 3d sprites like the ones in Al Emmo.  If I can get a good screen capture, I'll post it.  But so far, no luck.

See, I could've replayed the game six times and still missed that.

Quote3) I haven't decided whether to change the color depth and advance to 32bit. I'd like a second opinion to that.

Unless you're going to use alpha'd sprites, don't bother.  You won't gain much (if anything,) and those who still only have 16 or 24 bit video cards will hate you.

That said I haven't played any of your Lone Case games yet.  Maybe tonight...

I don't have the answer to this question.  But I have a related question.

Is there a way to edit the diagonal movement speed independently from x-speed and y-speed?
My character movements look good on the x and y axis, but glide like crazy on diagonals.

It probably is...  Nvidia GeForce 2

I just noticed that there seems to be a highlighted "garbage matte" around my alpha'd sprites that I didn't notice before while using the DX5 setting.  I'll post a pic later.

EDIT: I was unable to sucessfully capture an image where this occurs.  Even though I can see it in the engine, when I capture the screen, it is barely perceptible.  It is most noticeable in fullscreen, but only seems to occur at startup and the first couple of frames of walkcycle.  Then the "garbage matte" disappears.  I only have one room loaded right now, so I don't know what happens after changing rooms.  I may be able to mock-up  something to give you a better idea of what I mean.

Just tries the new (beta 5) file.  DX5 works fine so far, but I get this error message with D3D:

My desktop is set to 1280x1024

The problem occurs whether I have the game set up to fullscreen or windowed.

What about putting the banner at the bottom of the page?

Then your users would see your page first and then the advert.

Look at the center of the rock.
Didn't the captain tell you something that might be hidden well under the sea, that also has eight "points?"

In the screen outside of the cave, there is a octopus hidden on the rock on the left. It is very hard to see. I kinda looks like a lump on the rock. Use the octopus on the mark in the rock in the cave.

Iris is on the bush between the camp sign and the pay phone.
Then go to the bar where the drinking contest was and show the flower to the lady there.
