I don't know if you changed anything yet or if Paypal just stopped being difficult- but I tried to buy Downfall again and it worked this time  Sorry if there was any hassle- that was all just the -weirdest- problem I've ever had paying for something (I still don't know what the heck was wrong).
...I bought Nancy too while I was at it

Yay, I've been looking forward to the Downfall release ever since I found out it came with a soundtrack~

Spoiler
Hidden for whining/venting. ^_^;
Unfortunately, Paypal hates me and it always 'hangs' during the checkout process- doesn't reject my card or give an error or anything... I just can't submit the credit card info and the page endlessly refreshes.
It's the weirdest darned error because I bought The Cat Lady album when it came out, as well as The Cat Lady from the same site with no problems.
Tried three different web browsers, tried waiting a day or two, tried using a different computer- no dice.
So my only conclusion is that Paypal is being persnickety and I just have to wait and hope (Maybe it doesn't like that I'm in the United States/there's a currency error? I don't even know at this point).
...but enough of my whining. Suffice it to say, as soon as I can, I'm going to buy Downfall.
This has been a useless rant, but it made me feel better XD  Maybe the world will decide to make me look like an idiot and the problem will solve itself because I ranted about it in public.

Spoiler
Thank you so much for the track title- those silly little details like that drive me nuts- and for going above and beyond by posting the cover art!

I bought the newest soundtrack (I've had the other one since I bought the game when it first came out) and I've been enjoying it. It's great to have all the songs in one place~
Just...
Probably the most superfluous spoiler question ever-
Spoiler
Does Track 13 have a name? Just to satisfy my curiosity/for when I put the CD on my ipod.

...sort of wish there was a picture of the album cover floating around for the latter too, but I can always use the original soundtrack's pic if it bugs me too much.

Major Downfall spoilers/Rather Minor Cat Lady spoilers, silly thought-
Spoiler
Did anyone else have a weird thought pertaining to Downfall-
That the reason why Joe's hallucination/whatever that he's going through for most of Downfall contains having to kill a cat to get a key is because there's a key to his apartment hidden in a cat statue (which you 'kill'/break to get it in The Cat Lady)?

...and now I'm stuck again.
Chapter... 4, I think?
Spoiler
It's the one where Susan's been kidnapped by the Pest Control guy. I know roughly what I need to do otherwise, but I can't figure out how to get his wife out of the shed- well, aside from her getting out long enough to stab me XD;

Thanks! I got everything up to steaming up the mirror, but I had no idea about how to see the rest of the name for some reason- everything worked out for now~

I've been stuck since I got my pre-order... but now that it's fully released, I figured I could ask for help.
I'm not very far in the game (Chapter... 2?), but spoilers anyway-
Spoiler
While in the hospital, how can I find out the name of the other patient's mother?

Okay, I've gotten a 'good' ending now, I think... so now I want to start messing up on purpose and see what that changes.

Spoiler
Any clues as to how to get other people killed?  The stats at the end read 'Prevented 5 of 5 Deaths,' so I'm assuming there's at least a couple events to trigger.  I know it's not from not investigating- I did a run through where I avoided investigating and no one died.

Nimdok (puzzle spoilers)-
Spoiler
As I recall, the buttons I pressed were the Ark of the Covenant, Fountain of Youth, the island in the Atlantic, and the ship on the dune.
If I'm remembering correctly, those are all things that haven't technically been found... I think.  The island I took to be Atlantis and the ship the Lost Galleon

Now, my question in regards to a note I found on Day 2... (spoilers)-
Spoiler
I flipped over the suicide note and there's something faint on the back.  How do I make it more visible?

I finished the game, but I was missing some points... and I think it's because I never figured this out.

I know there's a coin by the waterfall but when my game died and I had to start over, it wasn't there! What's going on??

A couple of things in the game have their location randomized as far as I can tell- the coin being one of them.

I'll try and organize my notes and I'll make a new thread- right now all I have is a big text file of everything I did and in what chapter ^_^;  I'm going to try and at least group it by quest/task.

Belt alarm-
Spoiler
Do you mean the Jeweler catching you, or something else?  Highlight the next bit if that's what you meant.

Spoiler
I've only found two solutions so far- one bad (Lost ALL my honor points) and one that doesn't lose points.

Basically the hint? Try throwing something at her.  I don't think you can avoid triggering her.

I definitely don't have all the alternate solutions to things, or 100%... Would anyone mind if I did a new thread?  That way I could edit in alternate solutions and people could easily contribute...
Hrm, I'm not sure that's even allowed though ^_^;

Okay, I managed to get past where I was stuck with the belt, so I've finished the game.  My final score was 95/94, I was missing five cutscenes, and I did all the sidequests.
I can't promise I know EVERYTHING, but I am going to work on that walkthrough and try and give some help here still.

Plus I have to figure out what to do with a walkthrough anyhow, because it'll likely be kinda unwieldy to post here ^_^;

Thanks Jenimad

Spoiler
I tried to cut the net down but that didn't work.

Looking forward to your walkthrough if you decide to make it. (Pease make it!   :-*)

Spoiler
Don't cut the net down- just look at it when you first get in the ship so it won't fall on you, and use the hand icon on it when you know the thief is coming back.

I could do a bare-minimum walkthrough at the moment... But I'm trying for something neater ;D  I probably still won't get all the alternate solutions and such...

What I have worked out for the belt quest so far-
BLATANT spoilers (don't say I didn't warn anyone):

Spoiler
First of all, you need to know where the belt is and have something physical to show people.  You just need to look at the ad for it and then click on it with the hand icon in the Jewelry store- the lady will give you a piece of paper about it.

Then you need to have had your flute stolen- when you go to get it back, stop in the entrance and look up- realizing there is a net there makes it so you won't trip it.  Proceed as usual, getting your stuff back.  When the game tells you that there's someone coming, click the hand icon on the net- this will cause you to spring the trap and catch the thief- I don't know if there are other ways to do it, but I chose to talk at him a bit and get him to promise to stop thieving.

Once the thief is sorta on your side, you can show him the belt advertisement...  I don't know if I should continue, but that's a HUGE start on getting the belt back.

Hints/spoilers for the belt quest-
Spoiler
You need the rope, yes.

You also need someone with experience at being a bit underhanded- perhaps you can get this person's cooperation somehow?

It was pretty easy once it got rolling, but while you can activate everything early, you can't do the break-in until Chapter Six.

More blatant-
Spoiler
You need to somehow get the thief's cooperation- try giving him a taste of his own medicine.

Big honkin' spoilers for the belt-
Spoiler
All right, so I've finally managed to sneak into town after dark and break into the Jeweler's shop... but she calls the guards on me.  Any idea of what to do to prevent that?  Did I miss some item I should have brought with me?

I'm kinda-sorta working on a walkthrough at the moment- it's really really messy, though, so it might be a while (assuming someone else doesn't beat me to it).  I'm working on the Belt sidequest at the moment...

But anyhow, to get the rope (blatant)-
Spoiler
Pull the rope to ring the alarm when there's no guards wandering in the hallway, and then use the hand icon on the balcony in front of the king's bedroom to jump down.  Then you can scoot into the guardroom and grab the rope.

Changeling Sidequest Hint-
Spoiler
You have to find his 'double' in the human world, and you have to have seen some sort of proof that he's not human.
[close]

I have no idea how to get that proof.

Spoiler
I assume you're talking about the urchin. After I steal the apple from his ship he tells me to leave and I never see him again. I've tried giving him cider when he's at the bridge (I heard faeries like it) but it just says "you don't want to spray the urchin with cider" or something like that.
[close]

There's probably other methods to do it, but-

Spoiler
Use the goblin iron symbol-thing on him in the brief pause while you're in the ship.
