That's a great idea for a blitz...I'll be joining this blitz again...

Since your style seems consistent and all these trees and plant are beautifully done in the same style I couldn't point one out that's the best or the worst...they're all pretty good...

lovely...I dig the reflections in the water...good job...I agree with hillbilly though...

I have to choose between m.r. c.o.l.o.s.s.a.l. 's and loominous' while wanderlady's entry is pretty cool as well just as Darth's...hmmm...Think I'll go for mr. colossals entry....even though he doesn't want to win...

I was puzzling with this aswell but couldn't realy find the correct asnwer...

On the sideview it looks like as if he's walking backwards...strange enough...This sprite made me laugh...which is a good thing...he looks like a very happy idiotic person...if intented you did a great job...

I like this style better then the other...mainly because there's no squares and straight lines in it....I'd say get rid of the sun and you've got a good background.

I like the background. A tecnique wich will probably work for you to reach the 'shady and dark' look is to let the window cast some light on the floor and bed, it works all the time...

just mask out the area you want to lit, either lighten up the masked area or invert the mask and darken it....

Hey that's a nice background...though since the light source seems to be coming from top left (hence the dropshadows) shading on the 'P sign' and the brick wall seems to be incorrect...

Like the style of this sprite...I second evil....Go for a less bright color on the pants...don't think this has anything to do with contrast though...Maybe adding a few more details would make him a more interresting character...you could for instance add a pair of suspenders or a sloppy tie just to name a few ideas...Also the shadow on his face looks a bit odd...I almost feel sorry for him and the way he looks...

Hey minimi...I'm not sure what Farlander told ya before his edit but I have to agree with him in some way...
Like I told you before you should probably be able to far better graphics if you'd invest a little more time...no offense at all.. ) Like the lines of the bra could use more detail, they stand in great contrast to the photograph of the woman. They're just sloppy lines now...

ooew...that's marvelous mrcolossal ! Did you do that from scratch or is it a paintover from the old background...Either way I dig this background....

ovc : It took me about two nights...Since I was aiming for a different style, and not being sure where it was leading to, I should be able to do a next background in the same style in one night...there was a lot of trial and error in this specific background...
No tablet btw just a mouse and PS...

Good opportunity to mess around with a somewhat new style
