Hey nice intro mate. I also had a hard time reading the text, skips to fast and an outline would indeed be a good idea...Graphics look good.
Keep up the good work on the actual game...looking forward to it.

Cheers guys...
Thanx alot !

That's exactly what I mean ;)

Any solution ?

I was thinking about that as well...but I was pretty sure there has to be a function which actualy does replace a character within a room. So before thinking of any other solution I wanted to find out what function enables me to do so.
Anyways...here's the situation:

The character is standing in front of a house. A stairs is partly hidden behind the house which leads up to a balcony. As soon as the character climbs the stairs he disapears behind the house walkbehind area. At that point he's has to reach the balcony (on the second floor) and still stand behind the walkbehind area of the house, but since he's on a different floor the baseline doesn't match anymore so he is standing in front of the house.....

Hope that makes sense....if not I'll include a screenshot of the situation...

Cheers!

Hey guys...
Does anyone know which function allows me to replace a character
from one position to another in an instant, so without actualy going through the walk cycle or seeing the character move. Couldn't find it in the AGS help nor on the forum.

Cheers!

Thx for the comments guys...it's been quite usefull...
you're right the character needs more dynamics in
the walking animation to be realy convincing, I'll
work on that...thnx for the advise....

Cheers!

Simply beautifull...
Though, I would add a bit more contrast to the leaves on the ground (you could as well go for some black outlines here). Also the rocks on the foreground look exactly the same as those more on the back, by making the rocks on the foreground a bit more shady (darker) it would create more depth.
Those are just some minor things which, I reckon, would make this great background even better.

Good work mate....
In addition to what the others said I would recommend adding some dropshadows, this would add greatly to the depth of the picture. The trees could drop some beautifull shadows on the grass. Apart from that I reckon lack of depth is also caused by the fact that some objects do have light/shadow effects and others don't (for instance that bridge). I was wondering where that red light on the upper right tree came from, seems a bit odd.
Anyhow great composition but spend some on coloring and light/shadow effects.

Cheers!

Hey guys....The past few weeks i've been workin' on a new game, set in the middle of the past century, featuring a blues musician.

Opinions on some of my first backgrounds would be appreciated.
