Getting to the treasure room is a bit tricky.  You have to place the walk cursor just so behind the second pillar.  Took me 5 tries before I got to the room.  Try edging your character close to the pillar and then take baby steps till the character starts going behind it.  Continue doing this until you go to the new room.

Hello,

I seem to be stuck at the cabin part.

I go through the secret entrance into the portal area.  But when I make my way to the temple I always die.  What do I need to do to progress from this point?  I talked with Ruthinea and opened the portal.  I see to be missing the knife from the kitchen which the hint guide mentions.  However, I just can't seem to find it anywhere.

I like the idea behind META, very original!  Unfortunately for me, knowing nothing about the AGS editor is making the game very hard.  Still a great idea though as I'm sure those with some AGS experience really could appreciate the puzzles.

Thanks for the help!  I think I'm going to put this game aside for now as it's apparent that I need more experience with the AGS editor to really comprehend the puzzles.

1213 is a cool game!  Interesting use of the AGS engine.  I can't wait for the next episodes.  ;D

I've played some rather obtuse and difficult games in my day, but this one may be the winnar!  ;D

For some reason, I'll make progress, do something in the editor, mess things up, and then when I try to load a game it says there isn't any to load.  ???  That's not cool.

Anyways, I've read through this thread a few times and am still very very confused.

I can get into the cave, and I have debug turned on.  I still can't get past the first chasm.  I know the hint says to disable the walk icon somehow but I've tried and tried and not gotten anywhere.

I'm also stuck on trying to use cntr-s to add all inventory items.  The hint says to extinguish the fire inventory item but I just don't see how to do it.  I've tried to change the icon to the blue cup thinking maybe there's water in it but it's no good.  I guess I just suck at knowing how to use the editor.  :P

Thank you Iago.Ã,  I just tried it again tonight and it works now.Ã,  :=Ã,  Probably just a glitch.

Edit: Finished it.  Short game, but the graphics were unique and nicely done.  Like others have noted, the cutscenes between doors was pretty cool.  Music was nice, but puzzles were pretty easy.  I'm glad I played it!

I'm not a big Stargate fan, but this game was a lot of fun to play.  Great graphics from start to finish, although I didn't hear any music/sound at all.  Was this just a glitch with my system?  I also have to give credit to some tricky puzzles as well as the fact that there are multiple ways to get past obstacles.  Very nice!

Man, I'm really not sure what I'm missing in this game.  I'm at the part where

the beacon is in, the military landed and is dead, and I have to make my exit to find transport.  I can go to the cinema, the town square, and the police station.  I found the keys to police station in the cinema, and a gold computer board inside the police station.  This is where I'm stuck as there is no where else to go!

I played through the full demo.  I'm liking it so far.  The music is especially mysterious.  Waiting to see how much the total cost is for the game + shipping to US.

What is the alternate way to kill the monster at the end?  The only way I can figure out is to use the steam.  How does one get into that room with the force field on it to the right of the crystal machine as well?

I bow down to your greatness trisk!  :P  Prodigal is an amazing achievement for AGS.  I agree with others that the beginning grabs you by the throat, the middle is not quite as gripping.  Oh, but what an ending!  I encountered no bugs, had no issues with the GUI, just two days of great gaming.  ;D  That Peter guy is a maestro with music too!  This may be the best AGS game I've ever played.  Definitely top 5!

This was a very engrossing game Shane!  It's a shame you didn't have the time/resources to make it the full fledged adventure you had originally planned.  My one complaint is that I wish you had implemented the popup inventory box to be at the top of the screen instead of the bottom.  I can't tell you how many times it prevented me from moving down into the next room.  :-\  Anyways, great great job!

This was a pretty amazing interactive story.  I'm very impressed with the final result, although it is a tad buggy even with the patch installed.  Looking forward to your enhanced version with the ability to play a bit as the Lost One.  ;)
