This game was great, very challenging at times but fair in the way puzzles were presented.  My only gripe (besides dipping into the RON graphic archive) is how hard it was to enter/exit doorways.  I'm the last person who should be talking about AGS technical stuff, but shouldn't it be possible to make the whole doorway zone active for the function that changes screens?

I agree with Fisher, Alone In The Night is short but sweet game!

Fisher and anyone else who gets stuck, the readme contains a hint about something which could be troublesome otherwise.

About The Search:

Is there a way to get past the banker lady or have a conversation with her?  As it stands I have the metal cup, two coins, wallet, rock, knife in my inventory and I did cut the wire connecting her monitor/keyboard/mouse.  However the game seems to hold up there so I'm assuming it's the end of the demo?  Why are you not interested in continuing to develop this game?

Well now I don't know what to say because I tried it again and it works okay. <scratches head>  I know I tried it two times in a row earlier where it froze up, but now I can't reproduce it.  So....I guess I'm just crying wolf at this point.  :=  Sorry about that.

Hi Alias,

Heh, I did click yes the first time through and the game carried on just fine to the end.  I went through it again to try no, and that's when the game froze which I found odd.  That's why I asking if it was just me, or if the game was supposed to freeze like that.  ;)

I thought Unfinished was a great game.  I dug the music, the graphics fit the mood too.  The one thing that got me was searching for the flask for the starfish.

I knew it was in the screen with the yoda bust, but I didn't realize until much tearing of hair that I had to swim over the spot to find it.  I kept passing my cursor over the screen trying to pixel hunt.  So, kudos for making me think a different way there in that puzzle.

Sorry you got so littls downloads in the MAGS thread.  To be honest, I haven't checked out that area of the forums for a while now.  I guess I should be, and voting as well.  :=

A short game but one that shows promise!  I like the graphics, especially the animation of the slug.  If you take more time to give the screens more detail I bet it would pay off.  I agree with splat44 that you should give a description for inventory items.  It's these little details that give a game professional polish.

This is a pretty impressive game IMO.  Yes, the space trading/fighting sub-parts did get old after the first few hours.  However, it does show good breadth of gameplay for an AGS game.  Overall, I say very nice job!

I played through this game once.  It's a polished effort, woth the 48MB download to hear the funky music tracks.  8)

I scored a 190.  Is this good enough for the best ending?  You said more than 190 so I'm not sure.  I realize that scoring 190 only opens up the possibility of the best ending, which I'm guessing I didn't find.

Is this a bug?

Spoiler
When I choose the answer of no at the end, after she says "no, no, no" the game seems to freeze up.  Is there a way to get out of this or is this a bug?

Hello, I played your game before the updates.  I liked it, the RON screens are very familiar to me!  ;D  A few minor bugs here and there, but for the most part a fun game to play.

I just finished playing and really enjoyed the time.  You show a good attention to detail.  Graphics did have a nice old skool edge to them so your time spent on them was well worth it.  Plot was funny, and the puzzles kept me scratching my head.

My only complaint is what others have said, that some items are a bit of a pixel hunt.

By the way,
Spoiler
is there a good ending or is the only ending that he fails the compiler program because it has the line at the end?

cittymom, one helpful part about the game is if you use any items on the skeleton in the dungeon, he will give you a hint as to how the inventory item might be used.  :D

Thanks gurki.  Was able to work my way through it with some timely help from another AGS'er.  ;)  I liked it, the puzzles showed a lot of variety and made me think a bit.

I've heard only positive things so far about this game.  So kudos to you Ghostlady!  I'd be interested in trying out a copy of the game, so please add my name to the list as well.  8)

I liked your game, had good humor throughout.  Looking forward to part 2!

Hints & Tips / Williams Nightmare

Can anyone who played this game give me some enlightenment?  I've cycled through the 4 nightmares a hundred times now, but I'm not making much more progress.

[hint]I got the contact lens from Godzilla so that is the one nightmare that is not showing up anymore.  I read from a different thread that I need to get a detached arm from a zombie.  How does one do this cause I've clicked everywhere and tried using every inventory item.  I used the blood/ash with the paintbrush and filled in the missing sections from the bible.  When I read this to the zombies the game says something is still missing?[/hint]

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH....victory is finally mine!  Thanks for your help Fisher.  Goes to show that even two people putting their heads together can do some damage!  ;D

Take that photo and attach it to the tripod in the teleporter room, just under the laser pointer.  Then use the remote on the TV's and click IGF to hear that you satisfied their request and you can be ruler.  They fax you a contract so take that.  You need to sign it in their presence.  You have the contract and ink, but no pen!  Go back to the well and as Timmy for the pillow back.  He says no but agrees to throw up a feather.  Pick it up, teleport to the leaders, place the ink and contract on the table.  Use feathe on ink and then use feather on contract.  Enter beam.  Rejoice!!!!!

The only problem is I think there's a way to get the feather out of the pillow before throwing the pillow down the well.  At least the hint book in the kitchen says to use feet on your pillow before giving it away.  Getting the feather after the fact takes away a lot of points.  Oh well, so I didn't get to see the super deluxe ending of Walter's Asteroid in 3D-Vision.  :P  I did go back to an earlier save where I still had the pillow, but I still could find no way to extract a feather out of it.  ???

I'm sorry jane, my memory on this game is not so good (although I do remember it was a good game!)  I don't recall any difficulties in shooting the robot.  Is there a specific icon used to handle the gun?  Or maybe it's a specific point on the robot you must shoot?
