I wish I knew.  I'm stuck on this game too, and I think you're farther along than me.

I have the mirror, communicator, cheese, floppy disk, and mud.  I don't know what to do next as I've tried every item with all other available items to no avail.  :-[

I am very happy to have played Novo Mestro!  ;D

Wow, call me nuts but this game makes no sense!  :D  I have no clue what I should be doing, and the walkthrough is not much help so far.  Is the pillow from the chair at the top of the tower?  So far I've been unable to pick up anything in the game.

Thanks Candle for the nudge.  ;)  Hope you continue to add on to it and improve your game.  8)

Wow, you know something is hard to find when you know where to look and you still can't find it!

Spoiler

I'm wondering the same thing.  This was a game I could never figure out.  Anyone here finish it?

Spoiler
In the screen with all of the fishing hooks, there is one line that is weaker than the others.  It's a bit of a pixel hunt, but you can use the scissors to cut off the hook from this weak line.

Hints & Tips / Re: A Tale of Betrayal

I've played this game.  Can't say the same for NeverQuest?  Is it new?  Where did you d/l it from.

If you do a search under hints and tips or completed games, you'll find at least one thread for A Tale of Betrayal with quite a few tips.  I found the start of the game to be kinda hard.  Good game though.

Hints & Tips / The Journey Home - end part
Sun 02/01/2005 00:18:47
Hi, I'm at the end scene of Journey Home.  Got stuck and checked a walkthrough.  Problem is I've tried what the w/t suggested, and it's still not working.  I'm not sure if this is due to me having an old executable or not.  The game doesn't crash on me after I win the string.  But when I...

Spoiler
try to combine the peg with the string/tray combo the game won't let me.  I've tried combining the two items both at the cliff side as well as the pier.  For that matter, I'm not even sure I have a peg.  When I first get to the island, I pick up a peg, but when I look in the inventory it is just a rope.  I then combine the rope with the metal hook to grap the stapler and camera.  Is the rope w/metal hook what I want to combine with the string/tray to shoot the sailor?  I did put the gunpowder around the sailor as well.

This was a short, but fun game.  No bugs that I found.  Thanks!

I just completed the game.  Congrats on finishing a pretty nice game!  It is rough around the edges, with quite a few spelling/grammar and other minor bugs.  Still, I thought the graphics were good, music and sound effects nice, story was interesting if a bit hard to follow at times.

The puzzles were a bit hard, sometimes because of the bugs.  I thought the pixel hunting was a tad extreme, trying to click just the right pixel to interact with an object.  Anyways, I'm glad to have played it.

Hints & Tips / Re: The Sleepy Island
Sat 01/01/2005 06:18:57
I just finished Sleepy Island.  I thought it was a good game.  Maybe I was lucky, but I didn't encounter any game killing bugs.  I did things a bit out of order (from what the w/t listed here) yet I managed to finish no problem.

What do you currently have in your inventory?

Have you found a use for the scissors yet?

I had a bit of trouble with this ending too.  I eventually emailed the author.  :=

You know that one door next to the mad house that is always locked?  You need to use that door somehow to distract the cleaning lady to get to mad molly.

Hi,

I never played the original Black Cauldron, so I was interested in giving this remake a shot.  But now I think I may have ran into a bug:

Spoiler
I got to the end of the game.  I'm standing on the ledge above the cauldron and choose to jump in.  That furry animal I befriended sacrifices himself instead of me.  The text says he jumps in, yet he remains standing besides me.  Then, when the cauldron blows up, the game says I get thrown out of the castle and into the moat holding on to a piece of wood.  However, I'm actually back on that switchback path above the moat instead.  The ending never comes.

Just finished up playing the game.  I was a bit worried as I also encountered the crash at the bridge scene.  However starting over and doing it first worked for me too.

Escape From Evergreen Forest is very fun!  I'm posting at 1:30AM as the game was addictive, I didn't want to sleep before getting to the end.  I didn't score perfect though, so I will have to go back and see where I missed points.  :P  I thought the graphic style was pretty unique, although during some of the effects some of the objects had some strange looking pixel effect.  Hard to explain exactly what happened.

Anyways, excellent job!

Was anyone able to get a "good" ending in Basedon?  I've seen two endings that resulted in...

DEATH!  :P
