It's possible, but it would probably be easier (and turn out less buggy) to write a whole new adventure game system using the realsoft engine from the ground up.

Hey if you haven't hooked up with a musician yet I was keen to do the music for this game. As a demo of my style, the current Shadowplay theme: http://members.iinet.net.au/~snderson/Shadowplay%20-%20themetest3.ogg

I followed the link and got this error:

This domain name has been temporarily suspended for exceeding the daily bandwidth quota. The site will be automatically turned on again at 12:00AM PST (unless the site's allocated monthly limit is reached).

If you're just working with a standard general midi sound source then there isn't a huge benefit from going with digital music. If you want to use ogg format music you might want to judge if the music justifies the additional download requirements against the improvements.
There's also a couple of benefits with midi music: you can get the music to loop more cleanly (there's always a pause with digital background music in AGS.) And you can create pseudo-interactive music using a few tricks with music queues and position seeks that glitch too much when you're using mp3/ogg.
But to just answer your question: I'd prefer bigger filesize if it had significantly better music.

What style of music would you be a-wantin'? I'd love to help out if I can...

Quote from: Darth Mandarb on Sun 04/04/2004 19:28:03Yes there is rock music that is bad and crap.

You mean all the cliched, derivative "love" song rock ballad crap?

I blame Elvis:

Damn you Elvis with your sexy dancing! Look what you've done!

I'll download porn for you, but development software is just too offensive for me.

With the exception of Grim, I wouldn't rank any of those games too highly. It all comes down to personal preference of course.

Is he feeling himself through his pocket in one of those pics?  :o

I agree with Candle. Is there any reason why it can't be viewable by visitors?

I dunno, I tried it again and it isn't doing it now. Maybe it was something on my side.

I think the graphics look just fine, better than I could ever manage. The plot could be hilarious, not sure how well it'll go down - folks are kinda conservative round these here parts.

OK, I tried going to your website but all I got was a pop-up box with the text: "In order to view this site, you must click YES." Pressing "OK" brings the box back up immediately. The only way to close the window was by shutting down Internet Explorer with ctrl-alt-del. Very nasty bug.

I think you all just don't realise how good you have it. The only real threat to your survival in todays society comes from yourself. Just ponder for a moment if you'd been born 100 years ago. If you weren't lucky enough to be born into the top 5% or so, you'd either be in servitude to rich masters, watching your family drop dead from the plague, going blind working in a coal mine, or in some other situation where survival really is a day to day battle.
I found this list on the net:

WHAT LIFE WAS LIKE IN THE U.S. IN 1904â€"100 YEARS AGO

- The average life expectancy was 47 years.
- Only 14 percent of homes had a bathtub.
- Only 8 percent of homes had a telephone.
- A three-minute call from Denver to New York City cost eleven dollars.
- The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower.
- More than 95 percent of all births in the U.S. took place at home.
- There were 8,000 cars in the U.S. and only 144 miles of paved roads.
- The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.
- Most women washed their hair once a month, using borax or egg yolks for shampoo.
- The top three causes of death were pneumonia/influenza, tuberculosis and diarrhea
- There were only about 250 reported murders in the entire U.S.
- Alabama, Mississippi, Iowa and Tennessee were each more heavily populated than California.
- Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Hawaii and Alaska hadn't been admitted to the Union yet.
- The population of Las Vegas was 30.
- Crossword puzzles, canned beer and iced tea hadn't been invented.
- There was no Mother's Day or Father's Day.
- Marijuana, heroin and morphine were all available over the counter at corner drugstores.
- Eighteen percent of households had at least one full-time servant or domestic.
- Prices: sugar 4 cents/lb, coffee 15 cents/lb, eggs 14 cents/doz.
- Average wage: 22 cents/hr.
- Average annual income: accountant $2000, dentist $2,500, mechanical engineer $5,000.
- One in 10 adults couldn't read or write, and only 6 percent had graduated from high school.
- Ninety percent of doctors had no college education. Instead, they attended medical schools, many of which were condemned in the press and by the government as "substandard."

I'm using Kerio Personal Firewall:

Seems pretty good and doesn't interfere with file sharing software like some others apparently do.

"Whore" dressing... right. Makes me wonder who really has the problem.

Well, I thought it was kinda funny:

Hmmmm.... think I'll smoke some weed. Let's see, where is it? Well, here's that oregano I put out for Junior's lunch, but I just can't find the.... hold on... OH SWEET JESUS IN HEAVEN NO!!!

Sorry, sorry. What I meant to say is: I blame MTV and those horrible, disrespectful rappers and so forth. Kids these days, I tell you.

If this game was half as fun as Hit the Road and looks like that, I can't imagine any 15 year olds not wanting to play it if they just spent about 5 minutes with a demo or something.
