(I hope it's not too late for my entry.)

Sorry for the late answer, but I've been busy in this days and almost forgotten about it. Of course the winner of the competition is NiKCeleste, so the next one is up to you ;)

Maverick: What a pity you didn't had time - I hoped you would have partecipated.

Illustrious: I'll be glad to see it.

NiKceleste:

Nice one! I see an improvement from the last animation competion!

Nardo:

As Tuomas says, I don't think there's any rule regarding the size of the animation.
I'm waiting for your animation ;)

Rules:

A sprite is supplied, with a theme.
Participants must use the given sprite for their animation
Each competition will last 11 days
The starter of each competition will decide on the winner.
The winner, who will decide on the next competition's theme, must also supply a sprite.

Theme: Vampires

Meet Count Dracula, the world famous vampire. He (as Bram Stoker says) has several abilities, like:

  • Mutating into a bat or into fog
  • Climbing walls like a spider

Your task is to make him do some typical vampire stuff, like drinking other people blood, sleeping in tombs, feeding bats (?) or one of the examples above.

The competition ends on 18th September.

Thank you, Maverick. I'll start the new competition as soon as I can.

Thank you, Maverick and Domino, you are too kind.
QuoteSorry i don't have an entry. My best animating skills were doing my avatar and it isn't good.
Domino, why don't you give it a try? Animating is not too difficult, and even if the result isn't as good as you wanted, it's a good exercise. And I like your avatar :)

Thanks for the compliments :)
QuoteNice! Althrough it would hurt brains less if you would loop it better. I mean showing how did the egg get in the nest.
Sorry, but I can't understand. The animation starts at the same point of Maverick's sprite, so I think there's no need to show the egg arriving in the nest.

My vote goes to dkh. His system is very customizable and the code is clear.

If I have understood well, you want a gui that displays characters and objects names?
@HOVERHOTSPOT@ should display them as well. For the objects make sure you've gived them a name.

 :o MrColossal's animation is great!

You can use variables to know when you have the two inventory items.
If you don't know how to use variables see here

Also, what OS are you using? Newer versions of the Gimp may crash on some OS (like windows 95, 98...)
