Whenever I add a new object to any room, and try to move it in place (drag with mouse), the AGS deletes the background, crashes and gives the following error:

It tells it has something to do with Arial font. But how the hell does that matter here? Besides, my arial font is fine. WTF?

Baffled. I can not do absolutely ANYTHING.

EDIT:

OK, Replacing the Arial registry got around it. It was my mistake after all. Been hard time getting used to this new AGS interface.

My god damn Firefox 3 fucks up the zoomed pictures, making them all blurry ugh. But seems nice. Continue.

I quite like the simplistic retro looking naive style.
Anyway, You seem to use same shades of green everywhere. Try to break it off on the shadows and highlights, make the shadows blueish green for example. Shadows are not just colour that has added black in it, shadows are actually whole different color!

My two cents to the crit:

The beard hair seems a bit too smooth. You seem to follow the chinline a lot, making longer hair that is following the chinline. Mybe add a few straws sticking out.

My parents had hundreds of vinyls, then we had to give them away because there were no place to put them anymore..

Buy a wifi router?

If you don't have wifi card on your laptop, then buy usual router. Can be found under 100 USD.

And I thought this was about the dialog itself, not how its presented on the screen. There should be a dialouge that alters the players mind like Derren Brown does.

You and I probably won't see any difference. But I have already met people over the Internet who have lost their jobs because of this. Although people lose jobs all the time, now there are whole companies going down, half the stuff is let go.  And Iceland is a mess also.

One of our banks (Hansapank, now named Swedbank) is going downhill also. People can't take out large amounts of money anymore...

But to call it great economical crisis and downfall, is a bit much, I think. I don't think it will be like in the beginning of 20'th century where there was nothing to eat.

Heh, why not just make a track? I doubt that anyone really cares about the deadline anyway... If he closes the competition and you are not ready with your track, is that a really bad thing? I think its more about improving the composition skills. In fact, I've never taken it as a competition, I have just made tracs, sometimes not even the topic in my mind.

Ok, I scraped something together also, in just an hour :P

I don't own a guitar or anything, so its very sample based, I just made the drum patterns and fiddeled with guitars for half an hour to make them sound right for this kind of track.

I am not shure if this is the kind what you have been waiting, since its not directly rock, its grind - yeah, I like brutality.

There is still time left, so maybe I can make a proper track also, who knows...

Woho, looks cool! Decent graphics, nice to look at.

But its one of the weirdest idea for managment game, heh. You could do a management game for everything :P

Hypothetically speaking, what if you don't have good memories?

Wow, that's gonna be tough - I can't think of festival rock music without lyrics ;) I have no experience with that kind of music whatsoever. And the deadline is one day before my final exams :)
I'll see if I can enter.   -  Is PunkRock allowed?

Try looking into sixties ;) There are tons of good tracks out there that mostly rely on good melodies.

Check Chocoreve for examples.

I have tried this. Usually you need to back up your deadlines with something. Simple empty deadline just makes people to push the deadline further. A good team can be enough motivator, a'la they both promise to finish something for certain time and then benefit from it because they need each others services on time.

Sure Waves... The feel of being closer to a country can be so strong that we put those feeling aside to tell "who" belongs to Europe or not.

That's why we use the geography.

That' s why Georgia is basically Asian. I don' t know why Snarky is being so fundamentalistic about that...  ::)

yeah, but why does it matter wether it belongs to Asia or to Europe in this point?

I feel closer to Georgia than I feel to Spain. Geographical location does not matter. Why be such fundamentalists?

In my opinion, the less cutscenes the better. The best way seems to be by making most of the story available through some kind of interractions. Cutscenes should be only for some minor movements and such, that support the story, but are not basis of it.

I saw Putin stating that Georgia has done Genocide on Russian people. What is your opinion on that, true?

Why are such lies necessary in this situation?

Besides, it is clearly stated by other countries also, that Russia is still led by Putin. An ex KGB agent who thought about going to be a taxi driver when Soviet Union collapsed. Too bad he didn't do it, but I am quite sure he misses the good old Soviet Times. Why are there more SU flags appearing in Russia, including in parades?

Also, Aussie, care to elaborate how does it actually work?

I simply think it's much more complex than that.

Even if those people are Russian they may have lived in Ossetia for generations. If not, their children might be Ossetian born and raised. When people are deeply rooted somewhere you can't simply say "they don't belong there, they should go". What about their homes, livings, jobs, social relations...? What about mixed families?Come on, there might be a complex political controversy here -with vested interests and what not- but there are also people involved.

I don't know much about this particular conflict, but I would say that you should be allowed to feel Russian in Ossetia - the same as you should be able to feel Australian in the US.

What about their homes, eh? I am quite sure most of the homes are now destroyed anyway.

I am also quite sure they were able to feel Russian in Georgia, very much. I've been living in Russian regions in Estonia also, and its very disturbing when a russian person yells at you that those estonian fucks should speak russian... Some russian patroiots are just pricks like that.
