I have pixeljoint account, its inkspot. http://www.pixeljoint.com/p/912.htm?pg=1&sec=icons And I like Joint. there is nothing wrong with it. Those who complain mostly seem to be noobs. I have been there almost from the beginning and I never had a problem.

You know, a good artist must have respect for criticism, and by that i don't mean criticism by others, but you must have a critical eye also.

Remember, everything is not worth posting.

I don't want to sound harsh here, but I have noticed a lot of disgusting things in AGS community also. I know, everybody isn't made for art, but goddamn it, if you already are trying to make it, then do some kind of research at least, see how the styles are constructed etc. Have some critical eye and don't post shit, because, you know, some of the games in AGS database truly do make me puke.

If databases are full of shit then it will keep people away, especially professionals who could be our guiding lights. All kinds of shit is still accepted at pixelscene of Deviantart, though. But it also depends how good job ShoneGold does...

While the sprites are cool and quite well-drawn, I must say you should put just a bit more effort to the backgrounds. And by that, i don't mean detail or anything, just shadows should be overlooked.

In almost each picture you have put sun in the sky, so I take it as a main light source, then why not follow it? On some of the pictures things don't have shadows on the opposite sides of the light or are just lighted from the wrong side. Oh, and lose that pillow shade on the tree in first pic, light is clearly coming from right...

Other than that, it looks really neat and you have cool style. I will definately be waiting for this game. Keep up the good work!

Pixelart actually depends on your hand-drawing skills. And i think a good scene requires hand drawn sketch anyway, that way you can quickly scribble your ideas on paper and feel more closer to the subject while working on a composition. Its easier to create whole idea on paper, think everything through and then just dully replicate the ideas in computer.
From there on, its your choice. Although I think that pixelart works better in computer, since its made up from pixels... Hand-drawn stuff can only be good in really high resolutions.

There are several equations that prove that 1+1 is indeed 1, 3 or even 0, and of course, the infinity :)

As for myself, I am the kind of person who doesn't know what being an idiot is, so i guess i am an idiot. Ah, the talks of morality... You know it is extremely good feeling when you don't have to be worrying how idiotic some joke or sentence may turn out, you just let it go and eventually people get used to accept you as an idiot :) idiots have happy life.

Try looking up Andrew Loomis tutorials. You don't have to follow up his style, but that just gives you the understanding and teaches you to see the character as a 3d shape. So next time, instead of plain outline, you actually feel the form.

Probably here is a lesson to learn: Never use overly complicated and overly updated program for simple pixel selecting which you could probably do in the first PS too...

Lumieres were one of the first producers to film pre-written scenes, so basically they invented fiction in movies. They were also the first ones who used reverse motion.
And what about colored film?

What about Russian film scene? Have you done any research in that or based your facts only on history in USA?

Btw, have you seen the film "Man with the movie camera"?

2007 was awful? No it wasn't it was only in US! European film scene does fine.

History?

What about mentioning Lumieres? And why is this so America-centered?

But good read anyways...

Ugh, human eye uses focus in real life 3D. Your smart camera talk does not approve lack of focus. But actually I would like to see such photograph!

Lets put it this way:
Objects should be distinguishable from each other despite their shape and function, no extra logical conclusions should be done.
#118
Ugh, people should think about focus... Look at photographs, is everyhting on the same sharpness level? No.

I have gone through 10 steps of Anti Alias, yes.

Oh you mean That AA?

No.
