Ofchorse the video wasn't very convincing, there are hundreds and hundreds of other such videos, but I wasn't talking particulary about this video either... You know, sometimes I think world needs One World Government too, it would end all the wars and such... But then again who would have the power? I am not particualry against the World Government, I am more against any government, government acting like a firm particualry.
Half of the 1984 is already here, we have the fear of outside world. Now the World Government would be just a big company that shares out some leftovers to people, quite like former Soviet Union.
If government wanted everything to be good, we would all  be running hydrogen cars that run on free tap water by now  ::)
For more convenience, you should watch this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3968544393356669182

And people like Thomas Voss they just want attention IMHO, there are plenty of those...

Poker is boring.

I stick with chess. Even though haven't played in a while.

Ah ok, thanks, finally got myself on the map :D

I didn't need to watch this video. I actually figured it out a long time ago by myself. If you think carefully, then you would see that one world would be very beneficial to the ruler.
You people should stop supporting government whose brains are filled with oil. Just look how corrupt it all is. Government is going through generations and generations but still their all from the same families with the same money. Where is democracy in that? People should be able to choose more than between two rich families.
Governments are never what they seem to be, just look at history for instance. All the secret threatys and agendas are part of the current history that still goes on.

Well, yeah it is expensive if there is no will. You could learn to draw by just looking at other peoples drawings, but that requires will and practice practice practice. Most good drawing books are also quite expensive, but believe me, they are worth it if you have enough will to practice ;)

This virtual paper is just brilliant! :P Can't wait to see next issue. Is this monthly, yearly or weekly?

Hmm, now this led me to thinking that I haven't seen any liquid nitrogen tanks as inventory items yet. Are there any? Or chemical waste?

Rain and hail is also mainly because of global dimming, which co-exists with global warming, as a part of it. Waste clouds affect the path of rain clouds, therefore warm air currents etc are affected.

Not white, but light-blue, colder colour as opposed to warm foreground. But the bottom of the skyline should be quite white, instead of blue. It should be brighter than the upper part.

Ooh, I am so waiting this game!

I just finished it and I must admit, this game is super fun! I actually laughed at  a lot of things in this game, so funny. Even cursors and menu (especially the end menu) are very original.

Yes, the textures are top notch! The piece may feel a bit empty is because there is nothing else there except the tree! Add a stone under it or something, add some bigger flowers to the right. Make a little path. It really is all about the composition, you need some size and colour variations. I also suggest adding some tips of rocks between the land and sea peeking up or something, just for transition.

And if to be picky and to give some hardcore critics, blur and smoothe up the clouds on the lower area because they rach further away and therefore not seen so clearly. Same with the sea, it fades away in the horizon and texture of water changes lighter when reaching further away.

Speaking of Blade Runner, The Esper edition soundtrack is considered to be the best ;)

Ok, today, while playing "Duty and Beyond" (By Mordalles), I got completely stuck. Had to open a safe, but one number was missing. I logically thought (according to in-game leads) that I have to count the number of some books. But heck, books are so small and colours are messed up (you know one bright colour near other colour messes it up). So counting the certain colour of books was a definite pain in the ass which should not be! Eventually I opened up a walkthrough just now when I got my Internet connection back...

I love it! Music score fits perfectly in my opinion. Only crit is that its a bit hard to understand what is exactly going on, but it is designed to be a very bizarre video anyway, so... Although I would have added some rhytmic animations to the lone piano part at the end, but that is just me and my little side effect.

Great site, thanks Greg!
Its only a pity that the play system doesn't work for me :( So I have to download each file just to listen to it.
Another site worth looking is Freesound, I go by the user saphix there. Even though it is more for the musicians, you could find some nice sound FX and field recordings there too.

Syberia is not frustrating imho. I love machine puzzles when there are not too many of them.
When reading this thread, I thought about a puzzle where there are lots of clockwork wheels in a box and the task is to get the last wheel rotating the right direction. Its something not too complicated to solve but requires some planning when creating it.

Just try combining all the items in your inventory with everything.
