True.

I remember the Tiberian Sun, it was good, then I played Red alert, was still good, but the second one started to look like crap. Those mind readers and tesla coils were too over the egde.

Hmm, I have very important saved data and plugins on Fruity Loops, I want to be 101% shure that these work on Linux.
Still, installing Linux doesn't actually solve the problem, its more like running away from it. And what if it doesn't work also?

Yes, the disk starts booting, I press any key when asked, and nothing happens. Keys just don't work at that time. After that, it just loads up usual Windows... And my 2-nd and 3-rd boots are disabled, still it loads me into Windows  ???

I don't know if I have any favorite puzzles, I always somehow remember the bad ones...

Anyway, almost all the puzzles from "Sherlock Holmes: Mystery of the Mummy" were so difficult I had to complete the whole game using FAQ. Lots of pixel hunting and number matching - odd maths that actually is a bit illogical according to the story. But then again, it was a hardcore detective game, so I better not be too harsh.

Lol, larino87, what a coincidence, I just red your post after I posted mine  ;D

I have over 100 contacts in my msn list, and only one of them have sent me some shit. Mostly I get messages like this from random people (robots probably).

Yes, I have thought about Linux, but some special programs I have, don't support it (Fruity Loops, Acid, AGS, Paint, SCUMM, msn with my contact list etc). I don't know if its my Windows XP or not, but Mozilla keeps crashing from time to time like IE does. Except that IE doesn't start up anymore...
And connection of my keyboard should be ok, since I can use del to go to BIOS. I don't know anything about the drivers though, I didn't set up the computer and according to my information everything should be ok. Besides, I doubt that drivers like this have much effect before Windows.
Ofcourse, I can format my c drive through windows cmd or use some other methods too, but then again I am not shure if I can actually install anything.

General Discussion / PC acting weird.

Hello, I have a problem.

Since my windows XP doesn't function perfectly anymore and IE is completely wasted, I tried to do format c today.
But, it doesn't boot. Damn, I press any key and it just doesn't work, like it doesn't recognize I have a keyboard. But it loads BIOS perfectly. BIOS settings should be ok, according to my knowledge.
All it does, it wants me to press some key, what I do, and then it just ignores it and loads up windows. In BIOS, 1-st boot is CDROM, and all the others are disabled , like ???

In the past, there have been cases when windows doesn't switch on my keyboard or mouse, in that case I just had to restart the PC until it did. I thought the problem was that my HUB wasn't working, but mouse isn't connected to the HUB, and today I removed the HUB completely, connecting the keyboard to PC directly.

I wonder why its acting like this??? Is it really some truly hardcore virus that has eaten itself into BIOS or just my stupidity or what?

I wonder how much res it would take up? Probably some new high-end computer, as usual, with some PS3 qualities that swallows electricity like a hungry beast. But nice graphics anyway, though... Only a bit too colourful..

Heh. Then maybe I am lucky because I haven't played MI3 and 4, simply I didn't bother to get them work on XP.

I program in C++, check out some screens from various projects:
...

Ooh, I can see you did some strategy game on screen 6 and 7! Nice, drop me a line if you need any isometric graphics!
#411
Exactly. I think it is time to change the wording to: Your sprite must be isometric and therefore, must be recognizable as an isometric object  ;D Oh the beauty of exactness. But i think anyone gets the rules anyway, so.. Enough of OT for now.

A lot of successful fan-projects are going on that are disliked by the original creators (LucasArts HATE fan input)

I guess I would hate it too, if some amateurs made a successful fan game out of my theme. It would totally suck and ruin the world I created.
#413
Well, yes, but define a ball in an isometric view, for example! Btw, it was just a nitpick not meant to be serious, I have already posted my entry anyway..
#414
Hmm, do photo collages aka matte paintings count? Or is it better if its done from scratch?
#415
No, my right hand did that. Gosh.

General Discussion / Re: vista problems

Vista is pointless - thats my opinion. Why exactly do you need it, just because it is new or it looks cooler?
#417
Ugh, can you give at least a theme? I can pixel a whole isometric city, but that won't count, or will it?

Still, its hard to define if the single object is isometric or not, if there is no background or anything, even if the object is a box. It can be viewed from an isometric ngle but the box itself can be turned. This is rather philosophical statement, but face it!  ;D

Ok, I quicly whooped something up in Paint:

Hmm, define "cultured"

Why a cultured man needs to visit Shakespears birthplace? Visit an interesting museum or galery instead, I believe its much more fun.

You remind me of one estonian guy who is building his own airplane. Yes, he builds it from scratch and its a real airplane with a wooden frame.

Ukraine finished second, wtf!!???? That was not a song, that was more likely just an entertainment you listen to while drinking with your best friends.

But oh well, lets face it, most of the songs were crap, as always. I liked the Irish band though, and those retro 303s were so cool in Cyprus's song, too bad it didn't get into final..
