This Competition is about drawing a coverartwork for a game in about 3 weeks. And to make it fun, draw a coverart piece for one of the misheard gametitles.

Bonuspoints if you emulate the font of the original game title.

It doesn't have to be AGS compatible as this is no gamebackground, but make it DVD cover compatible and fitting for the misheard title, not the original title.
There is nothing stopping you from adding your own misheard title(s) to the thread.

In the end you can grab one of these shiny trophies

cool :)
That was a fun contest, I'll start a new one later tonight.

It's like opening a new bottle of soda and it never stops foaming...

nina simone - feeling good
nelly furtado - I'm like a bird (piano version)
nirvana - where did you sleep last night
and a more recent one:
Paolo Nutini 'Iron Sky' (the passionate voice and the great speech from a great movie and the strong clip make this great!)

and I second Mad world and everybody hurts (and some other REM stuff) :)

This looks very interesting.
You probably have done a lot already, but please consider using the BASS interface (2 click interface) and not the thousands of different icons where you even have to scroll through interactions to just walk somewhere. Ghost wrote a nice plugin for this to make it easier, and you also have to write less interaction reactions ;)

have you tried another converter when converting them from wav to ogg? VLC and SUPER are the first to come to mind, sadly these xiph guys don't recommend any converter, hopefully there are some more converters out there as ogg is the open source format. I don't know why, but sometimes changing small things works...

short rules:
1 poster starts a sentence like (in an Alanis morissette way of 'irony' that is rather a bad thing in itself)
Mr. Mango forgot where he put his glasses...

the next poster continues the sentence with some actual irony
he needs them to read the fine prints on his alzheimer medication.

then he posts another sentence that is morissetty for others to continue.

Have fun, be spot on and/or funny. Or write whatever you want, rumpus room!
Expand any sentence in the thread if you have another good irony extension.

Let's start this with:

The musician wanted to get more beer for all, but the fridge was empty...

also relevant (but not that ironic)

concept: Misj' (I want to go to skull mountain!)
artistic execution: TheBitPriest (very closely followed by Misj', but it's this samnmax thing!)
Playability: Eric (getting there by boat while making your own paddle before is fun)

@CaptainD: yeah, thanks, if you manage to twist the script even more to fit this in I would love to expand on this and see it in game, but aren't you the one telling me to delay this deluxe version you always talk about? ;)

yeah, that's how this game flows :P :-D

sounds interesting.

Are you looking for a character animator or an animator for everything (from smoking chimneys to waterfalls to horses jumping through burning loops)?
Are the characters set or is characterdesign required? How many are there? How many directions/different walking/interaction/special animations are you aiming for?
Are the characters you posted upscaled or the same size ingame?
How far is story/bg/scripting?

[imgzoom]http://selmiak.bplaced.net/stuff/desert.png[/imgzoom]

It was that time of the year again on planet Fremmen'dor when the comets come crashing down and cause vast destruction everywhere.
All people gathered in the settlements around the huge ancient pyramid structures and prayed in wild extasy to let their spirits light the defenserays.

640 x whatever, it would be animated ingame of course and scroll down to the desert where even more people hike towards the structures and your player character has to pickpocket for a living.

chances are 50% he doesn't have to anymore ;)
