there once was something similar and it produced 7 contributions and iirc I still have one of the hidden pieces on my hdd...
#3062
of course all the Lucas classics
lemmings
mortal combat
pinball dreams/psycho pinball
rise of the triad
jill of the jungle
battle isle
hugos house of horror (was this even DOS?)
I remember a game called centipede or milipede, it's like snake with more action
and find a C64 emulator for DOS :D

awesome tumblr!

this is really cool.
for a better effect let me suggest to keep the frame where the overweight guy in pink wakes up and looks shocked visible for a bit longer otherwise the cool expression is lost. And as it already looks cartoony why not add some dustclouds when he hits the ground again. Or a fish or something else drops out of his pockets and disappears to somewhere offscreen when he crashes down.

I'm very interested in the final game now :D
#3064
but how do you block monkeys posts? :=

Please make sure your games are 100% anonymous, this means do not include your name anywhere in the game or readme, not even in the game properties. Of course if you use an AGS module, you can credit the author of it.
and don't use out of the norm winsetup.exe s ... I'm quite excited to see what you all are baking up :)

my vote: kastchey

including the votes cast by chosing a part of another participant of this (imho) interesting but not very populated coloring ball leads to the following results:

kastchey 2+2=4

miez 0+2=2

jwalt 1+0=1

so kastchey wins and has the honour to start another coloring ball, which will have a hard time against OROW but hopfullys some motivated OROWers are still high on cocaincoffee after OROW and churn out 5 entries.

ohnoes, there are actual votes coming in
I got the feeling this would go unnoticed and secretly hoped I can screw this democratic popularity voting and be all dictatory in  its tyrannic glory and chose the winner myself :P
Meh, I will vote at the end of the voting period then, after counting in the instant votes that were cast by the participants already by chosing a piece from someone else and count and recout until I like the result then :D

I enjoyed the first DeadSpace and the tension when going through the narrow rusty corridors where Necromorphs are lurking everywhere. The creepy feeling wore of over the course of the game though, but it's still enjoyable. So maybe you could say relieing on the same creepynessfactor over the course of a complete and long (8-12h?) game screws up horror? But there were also some cool bosses to fight that are slimy and deadly, some might consider that horror too ;) But from what I recall there also was a mission where you have to search for and kill 5 or 6 of these gas emmitting beasts, that felt like (and actually is) just a bad filler for additional gameplaytime. That took away a lot of the immersion I had with the first dead space.

hmmm, you should have had the KS campaign end on the 1st of the month or the 2nd when people actually have money ;)

I would so back this but I have no money and also no CC for KS :(
#3071
But there is even a door module but most newbies probably don't search the modules forums.
#3072
but the first deadspace was creepy, especially for the narrow hallways with lots of corners where some slimy alien could be hiding around every corner. So that's for the atmosphere, I can't remember any really scary imagery though except the usual gore when Isaac dies...

this game is not shitty at all! Great fun and as Ghost said, great metahumor!
#3074
wow, for a 24 hour thing without any prior work on either story or characters or setting this is pretty cool, I had fun reading it. You probably learned a lot from this, no matter if drawing wise, time management, tight deadlines or just how funny your body reacts to sleep deprivation.
A graph relating time, motivation, tiredness and panel drawn would have been interesting to see where you started drawing full page panels :D
#3075
cool, congrats and sweet dreams :D
#3076
still awake?! khaos is also my favourite monster taste ;) Keep on rolling and drawing and stuff.

Adeel I'd highly recommend Andrew Bird. One of the most underrated artists there today.
http://www.fromthebasement.tv/artists/andrew-bird/performances/

cool stuff, I like creative use of loopstations...

the petebox - where is my mind funny pixies cover
dubfx - flow some more beatboxdrumnbass with loopstation + sax
mc xander - spaceship earth pure beatboxing with loopstation! All mouthmade sounds and also nice lyrics!

sad music you say?
soap & skin - the sun all her tracks sound like written by a sad child forgotten in a cold dark house in an even darker forest :D
soap & skin - wonder imho her most melodic melodramatic piece
#3078
all of sunny penguins stuff is great + some jimi and pink floyd. I also like punk and nirvana and alternative rock from the 90s.

But nowadays my heart beats with the rhythms of breakbeats like drum n bass.

some cool examples of this rather underappreaciated electronic genre, turn up your subwoofer :D
equinox - stay calm
raw q - caspian moon
kryptic minds - mutants (dark dnb, very nice)
teebee - black science labs (full album, nice experiments in drums)
icycle - minus
topcat - a friend in need (with some reggae vibes, not as dark as the rest)
Globular - lemon (no dnb but just wicked soundz :D)
melt yourself down - fix my life (dunno what this is, but watching the video in fullscreen make my brain melt :D)
and so on...

and some guitar music, probably the best accoustic track in the last forever years ;)
john butler - ocean
#3079
this is looking interesting. Good luck! :D
